This man with HIV had the BEST response to a guy rejecting him on Grindr

Quite possibly the best response to an online dating rejection we’ve ever seen.

Tom Knight is a 28-year-old columnist at Gay Times magazine, an events manager and an associate producer at Pride London.

He’s also HIV positive, which can occasionally cause some issues when it comes to dating.

Last week, he got talking to a guy on Grindr and revealed that he’s HIV positive. The man replied that he ‘wasn’t ready for that complication’ and Tom delivered the GREATEST response, telling him: ‘Oh you still wear flared jeans… I’m not sure I’m ready for that kinda complication in my life.’

The Facebook post sharing the exchange has now been shared more than 300 times and has loads of comments praising Tom for his sass.

Tom said that the conversation didn’t get any better from there: ‘He then went on to say “Someone in your situation should be a bit more realistic” to which I replied “Well the good news is my HIV can… Read the full story

‘After a lot of working for about three days, at about three hours a day, I have a working fridge that looks like a Game Boy,’ writes tech genius and hero to 90s children everywhere Daniel d’Entremont.

Also known as tech blogger Mod Purist, Daniel now plans to install his Game Boy fridge in his college dorm room, where he will no doubt rule the school.

The Cool Boy (might need to work on the name Dan) is a mini-fridge, with room for plenty of cans of 90s favourites Panda Pops and Diamond White, fitted with a custom door. Which just so happens to be a fully-functioning Game Boy.

We’ve had Trump Your Cat and seen a fake health pamphlet dedicated to the dangers of Donald. It was only a matter of time until this happened.

Some internet genius has just launched paintwithdonaldtrump.com, a website that – as the name suggests – lets you paint using the faces of Donald Trump.

It’s magical, because nothing is more satisfying than drawing a penis made entirely out of Trumps (which is how most people are using the site, of course).

Welcome to Princes Court, 88 Brompton Road. It may just be the smallest studio flat in Britain and it’s yours for £895 a week.

The one-bed measures 72 square feet, which is approximately one twelfth the size of the average new home. Or, if you prefer, just 8.4ft wide. Cosy.

Just to clarify, the monthly rental will be £3,878.

The flat is available to rent from Harrods Estates who note that it is a ‘smartly arranged studio flat’ with ‘intelligent storage space.’

This customer complaint was flawless from start to finish (Picture: Aldi/Facebook)

This takes the biscuit, it really does.

Just over a week ago, Darryl Reilly from Castlebar, County Mayo, in Ireland, was forced to complain to Aldi over a ruined tea break.

Darryl had made himself a morning cup of tea with two of the supermarket’s finest tea bags and a spoonful of sugar (from Tesco ‘but sure you can’t begrudge me that’) and was looking forward to a cheeky chocolate digestive to go with it. But then he made a shocking discovery.

Out of his packet of Aldi chocolate digestives came a chocolate digestive with no chocolate. ‘A very plain digestive in my opinion,’ Darryl later wrote in his hilarious complaint on the shop’s Facebook page.

Dating right now is weird.

It’s pretty much essential to be up for some kind of in-app dating, to be literate in emoji, and to have a load of experience deciphering the meaning behind people’s ‘lol’.

Lydo Le is a bit of an expert in the field, managing to capture the exact oddness of modern dating in her new book, Some Feelings.

Meaning moments of ennui, an obsession with everything happening digitally, and a quiet sense of unease – interrupted by moments of panic after liking someone’s Instagram post from 37 weeks ago.

It’s very internet age and Tumblr-y, so it may also make you feel ancient. Fun.

Patient, mature, relaxed. What’s not to love? (Picture: Getty)

Being a single parent isn’t easy, and when it comes to dating, I’ve heard it said before that some women can be reluctant to date men who have children from previous relationships.

Whilst there’s no doubt that dating a dad comes with its obstacles, there are plenty of reasons why you shouldn’t run for the hills when you find out your date has a bit of a past.

Think you want to start with a clean slate? 12 reasons why single dads make awesome boyfriends.

1. They’re patient

Anyone who has ever tried to prepare for a day out with a couple of under-5s will know that gathering them together and packing for all eventualities can be a military operation.

Were you brought up in the gorgeous, green English countryside surrounded by farm lands, sheep, horse riders, hills, independent shops and glorious markets.

Are you a country bumpkin?

Well here’s 15 things you’ll only know if you grew up in the countryside.

1. Transport struggles

Forget the Tube running every few minutes in London, us country folk had to wait hours for a bus to the local towns, and that’s if there even was a bus service!

Train stations seem to only exist in the large towns miles away from your house and taxis cost a fortune.

Porn app hacks your phone, flashes an FBI warning and demands money

Goodbye, phone (Picture: Getty)

Android users and enjoyers of porn: you need to read this.

A bunch of Russian hackers have created an app called Porn Droid, which masquerades as a handy app for watching porn on your phone.

But, rather than providing any fun stuff, it’s actually just a front for a scary bit of malware called LockerPin, which resets the pin used to lock your phone.

This then locks the user out of the phone, which triggers an official looking pop-up claiming to be from the FBI.

The pop-up screen, complete with the FBI logo, tells the user that ‘some suspicious files have been found’, and accuses them of trying to access ‘forbidden pornographic sites.’

It then asks for $500 (around £330) to unlock the phone.

Hard to look at, but important.

Photographer and film student Arjun Kamath has shared a poignant photo series called ‘Coming Out’ on his Facebook, exploring the persecution faced by gay and lesbian people in India.

The fictional narrative shares the story of two women coming out to the world, from the initial moment of love and bravery, shown through the character Maitreyi leading Alpana out into a forest, to a horrific symbolic ending.

The lovers emerge from the closet, believing that the forest is a safe place.

A 24-year-old man from Hyderabad, India, has quit his job as a pharmaceutical research assistant to try to beat the selfie world record.

Bhanu Prakash quit his job mid-August to pursue the art of selfie-taking, after being inspired by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s record of 105 selfies taken in 3 minutes. He started doing some research into applying for the world record himself, at which point his love affair with selfies began.

Just a few words to the wise. If you’re after a date on one of the hundred dating apps flooding our phones, then please avoid the following.

Us girls aren’t digging it.

1. ‘Ayt bbz’

I’m neither 15, nor do I have the IQ of a worm. Please, please have more respect for my intelligence and spell things correctly. And don’t use ‘ayt’ as your first greeting. Please.

27 stupidly lazy things we’re all guilty of doing

but I already did something today

You might think of yourself as a semi-productive functional member of society, free of your lazy past, but you are wrong.

Deep down, you are lazy. We all are.

At some point in your life, you have taken the road of minimum effort, and done some ridiculously lazy things.

Even Anna Wintour has done these things. Probably.

1. Deciding to shove a food item that’s entirely too big into your mouth, whole, because taking multiple bites seems like a lot of work

2. Hitting the snooze button for an entirely essential extra 20 minutes of sleep… after a full 8 hours.

3. Seeing a belonging about to fall to the ground, knowing you could probably save it, but sitting, doing nothing, and forlornly watching it fall

4. Genuinely feeling entitled to a long relaxing break after doing an hour or so of work. You’ve earned it.

Nope, it doesn’t make you go blind.

Masturbation is one of those things that, despite pretty much everyone doing it, people still feel a little ashamed of.

But we shouldn’t be embarrassed about it. Be proud of masturbating (still at home and in private though, obvs).

Whenever women complain about being harassed in the street, they’re bound to receive at least one response of ‘well, maybe if you weren’t dressed like that…’

And it is the worst.

Comedian Jessica Delfino was walking through New York filming herself for Periscope, when a man came up to her, put his arm around her shoulder, and proceeded to hit on her.

When she discussed the incident with her followers, she was quickly sent this comment: ‘If you were ugly, that wouldn’t happen.’

She responded: ‘No, a lady could wear a garbage bag and flip flops and they’d still harass you,’ to which another commenter replied: ‘You should do that and film it.’

So she did.

Just as the pen is mightier than the sword, the humble piece of toast can settle a rumbling tummy a lot faster than any fancy main course from a swanky restaurant.

Cherished across the UK for its adaptability as well as its efficient approach to the dining table, toast is a national staple. It’s not hard to see why.

While dry toast provides an effective hangover cure, it isn’t so great on the palette. Debate rages when it comes to the best compliment to toast, and below we weigh in with our top 15.

From the VMAs to the streets of London.

We’ve tweeted our #Kanye2020 dreams, stocked up on our Yeezy for president merch, and celebrated his announcement with Yemoji-filled texts to all our friends. It’s only right that Kanye’s presidency run now has street art in its honour.

London-based street artist Pegasus – the same man who brought us the naked Queen Elizabeth graffiti, has created a bit of artsy propaganda in to spread awareness of Kanye’s presidential bid.

And, of course, Kim’s involved.

The kitten had severe burns, and was meowing for help.
