The universe obviously just wants us all to get along.

For most of you, tomorrow is just Wednesday; but for Muslims and Jews, tomorrow is one of the most important days in their respective religious calendars.

For Jews, tomorrow is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Yom Kippur is a very solemn day, where Jews fast and ask God for forgiveness for their sins.

For Muslims, tomorrow is Eid al-Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice. Eid al-Adha is a day of celebration, marked by feasting with family and friends.

H&M modern essentials campaign with David Beckham and Kevin Hart
Talk about twinning (Picture: H&M)

If you thought the David Beckham for H&M campaigns couldn’t get any better, you thought wrong.

While Beckham running around in his underwear has previously made for easy viewing, comedian Kevin Hart’s just got involved and it’s a whole lot of funny.

The campaign trailer shows Hart as a method actor keen to play the role of Beckham in I, Beckham (is this a thing? If it isn’t it should be).

Hilarity ensues as Hart follows Beckham around like an obsessed groupie, mimicking his every action.

He wangles his way into the Beckhams’ pad (is that their *actual* decor? We need to know) and creeps into his room to watch him sleeping, making him the envy… Read the full story

Leaves – so much more fun than a boyfriend (Picture: Getty)

It’s officially autumn and the long summer evenings are fast becoming a distant memory.

There is much to like about autumn – the leaves turning golden, red wine by the fire and unlimited pizza because you don’t have to worry about getting into a bikini for another seven months, to name but a few.

Sadly, however, despite its advantages, autumn is not seen as the best time to be single – people preferring to hibernate with a plus one rather than solo.

I disagree. Whether you are on the pull or happy on your own, when it comes to seasons that smash being single, you can’t beat autumn.

3 Hair really DOES grow faster when you’re on holiday.

4 All hair  is dead – except the part inside the epidermis.

5 Men’s hair and women’s hair are identical in structure – so that Just For Men stuff? It’s a lie…

We hear a lot about body image pressure felt by women, while men’s struggles with body image often go unreported.

Yet a recent study found that 31 per cent of British men are unhappy with their bodies, with some of those classified as having body dysmorphic disorder (BDD).

BBC Newsbeat reports that as many as one in ten men training in UK gyms could have BDuffering from ‘bigorexia’ – though may be unaware they are suffering.

These pieces of fine china are definitely not the sort you’d give to your grandmother next time she comes over.

Unless she’s really into gay pornography.

Then Pansy Ass Ceramics might just be her cup of tea.

The artists behind the gloriously filthy china plates describe themselves as: ‘Two Toronto boys making your Grandma’s china, favorite knick-knacks and tchotchkes just a little bit more gay!’

‘Just a little bit’ may be somewhat of an understatement, but they’re great anyhow.

We love the porno-kitsch juxtaposition of pretty china pieces with rude words (‘cock monster’ anyone?) and lewd drawings.

Tea time’s just got a whole lot more exciting.

This plate is just peachy

Today is Bisexual Visibility Day – an international awareness day which has been running since 1999 celebrating bisexuality and acting as a way to combat bisexual invisibility and prejudice.

Social media is ablaze with the hashtag #BiVisabilityDay and the White House even held its first bisexual community issues roundtable on the celebratory day recently.

But if you’re still wondering what all the fuss is about – here are 11 reasons to get involved.

1. Bisexual people make up more than 50% of the LGBT community

Which means the chances are everyone knows, or knows of, someone who is attracted to both genders. Celebrating Bisexuality Day is celebrating friends and friends of friends, and what’s not to love about that?

Northern Ireland is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been. And luckily, I’ve been there a lot.

With eight designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – not bad for a nation with a population under 2 million – there is no shortage of magnificent sights.

You can’t really go wrong when half a country is covered by coastline; any drive along Northern Ireland’s winding clifftops is one you will remember.

But there are also plenty of gems inland to take your breath away.

It’s no surprise that it has become the shooting location base for Game of Thrones. Winter is always coming in Northern Ireland.

So what if it’s cold and wet and windy, at… Read the full story

Freshers’ Week is wall-to-wall booze, socialising, and making terrible mistakes that you’ll spend the next three years trying to live down/weasel out of.

Here are some of the cock-ups you’re likely to be making in your first week at university.

1. You’ve blown a chunk of your student loan on something you don’t need

Sure, it seems like you need a kick-ass entertainment system now, but what you really need is to be able to afford food in December.

2. You’ve signed up for every society going at the Freshers’ Fair

You know you’re never going to actually go to the cheerleading club. But you’ll be getting their emails for the next three years.

3. You’ve drank… Read the full story

Little Yellow Door’s Friday night dinner parties are good for food, just OK for fun

little yellow door

Tucked away in Notting Hill there’s a Little Yellow Door, and behind it a quaint abode offering guests the chance to enjoy the culinary offerings of the ‘housemates’ who live there.

Pitched as an interactive dining experience, where it’s more like having dinner at your mate’s house than sitting in a restaurant, I was invited down to one of their Friday night dinner parties to see just what this West London flatshare had to offer.

On arrival my friend and I were sat on a table with some girls, who didn’t talk to us the whole time we were there. Considering the place prides itself on guests ‘arriving with three friends and leaving with ten’ it was a little disappointing that there wasn’t much chat around the table, but as they were a bit basic we probably weren’t missing out on any scintillating conversation.

Yes, we know, every time London Fashion Week rolls around someone makes a noise about the use of ultra-thin models.

But this time change might actually be on its way.

Britain may follow in France’s footsteps and introduce penalties for designers found employing models who are unhealthily thin.

And it’s in large part thanks to 23-year-old model Rosie Nelson and her petition to protect young models who are put under pressure to lose dangerous amounts of weight in order to succeed in the industry.

Nelson faced that very pressure when she first stepped… Read the full story

Maria A. Aristidou has created cakes that are literally works of art.

No, we don’t just mean beautifully crafted and prettily decorated.

She is actually painting famous masterpieces on to baked goods.

Each cake takes her between six and 10 hours to create with edible paints – in case you were actually cold blooded enough to eat them.

The flawless confections are on sale at Vienna Boutique in Cyprus, but we’re hoping she comes to the UK because we need these cakes in our lives.

Seriously, you aced that test. They just failed you for fun.

2. You become ridiculously skint.

You’re literally throwing money away at driving lessons you don’t really need anymore.

 3. It’s always the other road users’ fault.

If they just hadn’t stalled after that roundabout, you would’ve passed that test with no minors.

4. Your eyesight suddenly becomes blurry as hell.

Read that number plate you say? Could we perhaps move a little bit closer to it?

5. You completely forget how to drive on test.

No matter how well you’ve driven in your previous lesson, your test becomes completely foreign to you. “Oh, I’m supposed to drive on the left side?”

From stealing traffic cones to err..playing with a pig’s head – students are renowned for doing stupid things while under the influence of alcohol.

Here are a few things you may have done during your drunken university days that you would never do (much) as a ‘grown up’:

1. Steal stuff. Traffic cones, trollies, pint glasses or basically anything that isn’t glued down. The more ridiculous the better! What student house hasn’t got a road sign in the front room?

2. Aftershock anyone? Do ridiculously disgusting shots when you are already so drunk you can barely walk. If you have never been a student you have probably never tried a Slippery Nipple – count yourself… Read the full story

During my childhood, my mother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

It had been frequently misdiagnosed for years beforehand, and it wasn’t a sudden diagnosis – but the diagnosis was still overwhelming in itself.

I worried about her, whether she’d change, whether our family would change. Would she be okay? Was it my fault?

Of course it wasn’t my fault; there was nothing I could do. I wished there was something I could do, of course. I tried my best to understand and to help. I knew I couldn’t take it all away from her. But I could try to make things easier. Remind her that I loved her, that I was there for her.

Relationships can be tough, but what about when you’re hundreds of miles apart and your only way staying in contact is by text, social media and Skype?

The guys pulling that off deserve a medal. Here’s 18 things you only know if you’ve been in a long distance relationship.

1. Your evenings consist of arranging when your next Skype call is going to be.

2. And then missing it because one of you ended up falling asleep.

3. So you look into how much your next visit is going to cost instead.

4. And realise that you’re practically going to have to work 24 hours a day in order to fund that next weekend together.

5. In fact, you pretty much always have to work relentlessly in order to be able to spend time together.

6. And when you finally get some time off to do nothing, you’re catching up on sleep from all that overtime you did.
