They might just be a standard workwear staple to you and me, but black trousers are fast becoming the newest fashion item thanks to Meghan Markle.

The Suits actress has become something of a trend-setter recently, selling out the Strathberry tote 11 minutes after being spotted with it on her arm, and decimating the stock of an M&S wool-blend jumper.

It seems the latest thing that royalists (or Markle-ists depending on their inclination) are desperate to get their hands on, though, are her signature black trousers.

She was pictured wearing chic wide-leg black trousers by Veronica Beard on a recent visit to Edinburgh with… Read the full story

Eating disorder recovery has to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

I started struggling with anorexia in my teens but it didn’t really take hold fully until I was at uni.

I spent time in and out of hospital and had intense therapy to help me recover.

In my darkest times, my weight was low and my mood was low.

I, like most people with a restrictive eating disorder, found myself in a catch-22: you cannot engage with therapy while you’re not feeding your brain, but you’re unable to eat… Read the full story

Dirty talk.

You know it’s a good idea. You know it’s likely to make sex hotter. You know that once you get into it, it’ll be a massive turn-on.

It’s just the getting into it bit that’s tricky.

Suddenly piping up with sexual chat is daunting, to say the least.

There’s the fear you’ll say something wrong, that you’ll sound ridiculous, that what you think sounds sexy in your head will actually be a turn-off. It’s scary to take a risk and speak up – but it’s so worth it when it works.

Don’t dismiss dirty talk as something that doesn’t suit you. If you’re curious about it, it’s… Read the full story

Attention all millennials: There’s a fresh way to spend our money that we’re supposed to be saving for a house.

No longer must you settle for filling your trolley with avocados.

Now, you can throw some chocolate into the mix, because Waitrose is launching a chocolate Easter Egg designed to look like an avocado. Lovely.

The shell is dark chocolate, the avocado ‘flesh’ is white chocolate with natural green food colouring, and the stone is a cocoa dusted chocolate egg.

That all makes it look quite a bit like an avocado – if a little larger than your average one – but that’s where the similarities end.

ILLO REQUEST: Shout out to the man who called me fat as I finally know I like myself
(Picture: Ella Byworth for Metro.co.uk)

I was standing on the train platform when I heard it: a random man behind me telling his partner to get ‘in front of that fat one’ to get a seat on the train.

I knew, instantly, I was ‘that fat one’, and as I heard it a wave of embarrassment, shame, and anger washed over me.

And then very quickly, it passed. I realised… I didn’t care.

I am fat. And for the first time ever I realised that word wasn’t hurting me, I didn’t want to cry, and that… Read the full story

Hair loss happens to the best of us.

By 35, 60% of men experience hair loss to some degree, and by the age of 50, around 85% of men have significantly thinner hair.

It’s entirely normal and nothing to be ashamed of – and yet those first glimpses of a receding hairline are enough to fill most men with dread.

Beyond hair transplants, there’s not much you can do to get hair back once it’s gone – but there are steps you can take to slow down hair loss or reduce how visible it is.

But the key for both of these approaches is knowing the early… Read the full story

Dieters – particularly those on Slimming World – will know all about Quark.

It’s the low-fat dairy product that you can use to replace all-sorts, from soured cream to cream cheese.

Making stuff creamy is one of the harder parts of being on a low-fat diet, but Quark is one of those miracle ingredients helping people to resist the pull of calorie laden dairy products.

Most supermarkets now sell own-brand and branded Quark, and sales shot up 40% in 2014.

But do you know what it actually is?

If you’ve recently made the switch to veganism, you might think you’ve cracked it.

You’ve finally figured out what to eat, what to order in restaurants and the cravings are long gone.

Food choices, however, are only part of a vegan lifestyle.

What many people don’t know is that there are also many everyday products that aren’t vegan at all.

From beauty to art supplies and everything else in between, here are eight things you probably had no idea might not be vegan.

Being an introvert is so mind-boggling that it should probably come with an instruction manual.

But that would be too easy, wouldn’t it?

Instead, you’ve just got to muddle through life appearing to be awkward, antisocial and most likely agreeing with those labels for part of it.

Fortunately, I’ve saved you a bit of bother by creating this list of 10 things I’ve learned from being an introvert.

Trust me, the sooner you learn these things, the sooner you can start appreciating how awesome being an introvert truly is.

14 totally reasonable grounds for divorce (probably)

The most common grounds for divorce is ‘unreasonable behaviour.’

But some of this behaviour may surprise you.

Gorvins Solicitors says snoring, spending too much time on the phone and going vegetarian have been classed as such.

Other reasons cited include disagreeing about politics and going to the gym too often.

I asked a few happily married people what unreasonable behaviour has almost driven them to divorce:

Ikea is set to launch a vegan hot dog later this year

Ikea’s stuff isn’t particularly cheap or easy to put together.

So why do people still go there in their droves? Because of Ikea grub, obviously.

Swedish meatballs, fry-ups, Daim cake (*drools onto keyboard*) – Ikea canteens do comfort food like no other.

And that’s before you get to the fast food lanes, with their hot dogs and what not.

But it’s not very vegan-friendly…that is until now.

Because the Swedish giant has just announced the development of the Veggie Dog – and it’s going to be 100% vegan.

The vegan hot dog, it says, is going to be ‘a greener version of an icon’.

It’s all part of the company’s move to provide more sustainable… Read the full story

How about having a magical marble mirror cake for breakfast?

Instagram is full of cake artists.

People who make unicorns out of fondant. People who spend their time trying to recreate GBBO challenges. People who make cakes out of vegetables and non-sugared, cakey items.

But none are quite like Ksenia Penkina.

She’s a Vancouver-based patisserie chef whose cakes are really out of the world.

Each mousse creation is layered in a mirror-glaze icing which turns them into kind of edible marbles.

No two designs are the same but each is perfect and glossy and way too beautiful to eat.

And they’re just as perfect on the inside, with Ksenia occasionally chopping the cakes in half to show how satisfyingly symmetrical the fillings are.

Exploring veggie and vegan cuisine under Israel’s winter sun

Firstly, I must make an admission: I’ve been a vegetarian on and off for around 30 years.

I even tried, for health and eco-reasons, to go full vegan last year.

But living with, and cooking for, a rabid carnivore, it was getting complicated, exhausting and expensive.

So, I jumped at the chance to explore, and learn from, the many delights of veggie and vegan cuisine on a trip to the Holy Land.

And if, as a by-product, I got in some winter sun on the beaches of Tel Aviv, then so much the better.

We spent four days at the end of Veganuary, mooching through the markets of Tel Aviv, Jaffa and Jerusalem, hands full of stuffed pittas or falafels, and with a babka (a sweet, yeast cake) never more than three paces away.

Here are some things to look out for on this veggie pilgrimage:

Tel Aviv is a vegan metropolis

If you’ve ever spent a good amount of time on a dating app, chances are that you’ve seen your fair share of unwanted nudes.

And even if you haven’t actively announced that you’re up for meeting someone, it’s still pretty likely that some dude has sent you a picture of his genitals – without your consent.

In fact, according to a new YouGov survey, a massive 46% of British women aged between18 and 36 say they’ve received an unsolicited d*ck pic.

And 89% of those women say they didn’t ask for one in the first place.

That’s a whole load of spam happening across the airwaves.

What is 3D lipo?

Liposuction is the process of fat removal by using a canula and negative pressure to suck it out.

However, there’s a new procedure on the scene that’s said to have fewer side effects and without the need for the canula to be inserted. This called 3D lipolysis (or 3D lipo).

As it’s relatively new, a lot of people are still unsure of how it works or the effectiveness of 3D lipo.

Here, we’ll look into the process so you can make an informed choice.

What went wrong? (Illustration: Liberty Antonia Sadler for Metro.co.uk)

In some circles I’m seen as a relationship guru.

Virgin circles, mainly.

I think it’s because my experience is sort of the ‘lesson to be learned’.

If I tell you my last relationship ended the day after Diana died, you’ll understand me and men don’t exactly ‘fit’.

So my lovelife* is helpful to you because it’s a living, breathing ‘Do not do this’ warning.

See? A giver. Despite the pain.

In this vein, today I want to, yes, share the touching words friends wish they could say to their big ex-love, in the hope you’ll not make the same mistakes, or, indeed, you’ll be inspired and… Read the full story

It’s Sunday and for loads of us, that means gym classes, PT sessions or slogging it out in the local park.

But it’s just so difficult to get your arse off the sofa/out of bed and into lycra.

Even when it’s nice and sunny.

So here’s a little inspiration for all you gainz catchers: Meet Joana Zanin’s mum and her 93-year-old client.

On Tuesday, Joana shared a video of her mum training an elderly woman.

‘My mum trains this 93-year-old and it’s the cutest thing ever,’ she wrote.

‘Her laugh and smile makes her young’.

Boy, does this client love her workout.

They say that if you ever meet your doppelganger, one of you will die.

They’re dangerous things, doubles.

So that’s probably for the best that Kylie Jenner’s, Britney’s and Justin Beiber’s doppelganger lives far, far away.

Just Sul is a 44-year-old engineer from India who spends his free time showing the world his uncanny resemblance to some of the biggest celebs on the planet.

He shares these photos with his 2.3 million Instagram followers, meaning that he stays a safe distance away from Hollywood, or wherever these stars reside.

How this bloke has any time to do his actual day job is beyond us.
