What does the new Fortnite update do and when is it available
Now we’re fighting over the Xbox (Picture: Epic Games)

I am definitely not in the demographic of those who typically play Fortnite.

A 30-something mother-of-two definitely has better things to do with their time.

But a month or so ago, I decided to learn how to play the game which almost everyone else of a certain age seems to be obsessed with.

Not because I wanted to get the ‘dub’ (win) but because if my son was going to bang on about it all the time then I wanted some idea of what he was going on about.

No doubt, I’m not… Read the full story

Sometime’s it’s the most basic stuff that you miss when you turn vegan.

Like the ultra-cheap supermarket pizzas that you used to burn at 2am after a night out.

    But vegans, no more.

Because Tesco has just launched an own-brand dairy and gluten-free sourdough Margherita pizza for just £3.50.

It’s got a gluten and wheat-free based and is topped with tomato sauce and coconut oil-based cheese.

A photo of the pizza was shared by vegan Instagrammer Come Vegan With Me on Instagram after she saw it being discussed the Vegan UK Facebook group.

And it sounds like most people are here for Tesco’s newest… Read the full story

  • 05/23/18--05:51: Can I keep a dog in a flat?
  • Photo Taken In London, United Kingdom
    (Picture: Alena Kravchenko / EyeEm)

Canines are perhaps the ultimate animal companions, but is it cruel to keep them in flats?

Between 2010 and 2015, 88.8% of all the newly built homes sold in London were flats. Other large cities like Manchester are increasingly turning towards high-rise living, with shiny new skyscrapers packed with sleek flats dominating the skyline. Millions of people across Britain live in flats, but should this preclude them from sharing their space with an Instagram-worthy pupper?

The short answer is, it all depends on the dog.

The amount of exercise and space a dog requires depends on the breed. Large working dogs like Huskies,… Read the full story

Every pet owner needs to be aware of the hidden dangers that the garden can hold for their furry friends.

Gardens can be brilliant places for pets. Dogs will spend hours lounging in the sun, playing with toys, digging their ball out of the flowerbed and chasing off neighbourhood cats, while cats will appreciate warm patio tiles, batting bees and flies out of the air, pursing hapless birds and stalking along the top of garden walls and fences.

For smaller pets like rabbits and guinea pigs, gardens are important areas for nutrition as they are naturally grazing animals.

However, gardens can also be hazardous places.… Read the full story

Most of the nation spent last weekend tearing up to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle looking hopelessly in love as they said their ‘I dos’.

However, a number of people were more focused on Meghan’s stunning fashion choices.

During the ceremony, Meghan wore a beautiful Givenchy gown with a veil that paid subtle tribute to Princess Diana.

For their intimate evening reception, following the ceremony and a larger reception hosted by the Queen where Meghan wore her wedding dress, Meghan dressed in a white halterneck gown designed by Stella McCartney.

So, you watched the London Marathon and have decided that you could run that too.

After all, if a dude dressed as Jesus can run 26.2 miles barefoot and carrying a crucifix, surely you can do it in your never-before-worn pair of Asics?

And that’s entirely true…so long as you get your training nailed.

Start too late and you run the risk of tearing your Iliotibial band. Don’t get the miles in and you’ll never work up the stamina and strength to shift your body over that long distance.

Anyone who’s run a marathon will tell you that the training is the hardest part; the actual marathon is the last 26 miles… Read the full story

To keep fit, many places recommend taking 10,000 steps a day.

That seems like a hell of a lot, and it actually is for the average sedentary person.

Can you imagine the amount, then, in a marathon?

It may not be summer just yet, but we’re definitely already experiencing BBQ weather – and to inspire you to get one cooking in the garden, Aldi is bringing back two of its best selling BBQ foods.

The super cheap supermarket is re-releasing its foot-long sausage and its ‘Big Daddy’ steak from Thursday this week.

The giant British rump steak is said to weigh nearly half a kilo – but it’ll only set you back £4.99, which is a total bargain.

Would you taste this? (Picture: Gelati)

An ice cream parlour in Ireland has created a ketchup flavour ice cream and we’re just not sure how to feel.

Gelati artisan ice cream shop has branches in Enniscrone and Ballina, and decided to make the savoury scoop in honour of Ed Sheeran.

The singer has a bottle of Heinz tomato ketchup tattooed on him, he loves the stuff that much, and Gelati even gave away free ketchup cones for anyone who attended one of his recent Irish dates.

The freaky flavour went viral after someone posted a video of it on Twitter.

Avocado brownies. Avocado chocolate puddings. Avocado juice.

The royal wedding was a reminder that no matter how cynical and bitter we pretend to be, deep down we’re all a bunch of romance-loving softies.

We gushed at the way Prince Harry looked at Meghan Markle. We squealed over her veil.

Oh, and apparently many people took a break from their usual porn-watching schedule to tune into the grand event.

That’s right – we prioritised a royal love story over our own sexual gratification. Isn’t that sweet?

As Pornhub revealed to Metro.co.uk, there was a significant dip in their traffic on 19 May compared to a standard Saturday, and when the ceremony began, worldwide traffic dropped… Read the full story

Good news for fans of the classic milky taste.

It’s not the most adventurous bar on the shelf, but the Cadbury’s Dairy Milk has come out on top as the nation’s favourite chocolate bar in a new study by the savings website Vouchercodes.com.

On average, chocolate lovers each eat a massive 22 bars of Dairy Milk every year and 1,317 bars over the course of their lifetime, costing a whopping £12,000.

The survey reveals that Dairy Milk is preferred over a packet of Rolos, a Boost bar or a creamy MilkyWay. Munchies were voted the least popular out of 30 best-loved chocolate bars.
