If you fancy getting fancy with your nail art, you’re going to like this.

Broken glass nails are the latest trend you NEED to try. Don’t worry, it’s not just sticking shards of glass to your fingers. That would be dangerous.

The trend started in Seoul, South Korea. Eunkyung Park, who owns Unistella Salon, took inspiration from the pearlescent shell of a sea snail.

She then developed a technique for recreating its shimmering reflective effect, sticking snipped up pieces of cellophane onto the nails. Enkyung shared a video of her new nails on Instagram, and everyone was obsessed.

You can layer up the cellophane for a holographic effect.

Burn it (Picture: Getty)

Brassieres. Booby baskets. Unmentionables. Whatever you call them, if you have to wear one then the chances are you’ve had some issues with bras.

OK, we could burn them all and hang free forevermore, but sometimes a little bit of extra support is necessary.

Here are 19 reasons bras are just the worst.

1. Lacy patterns look so pretty and elegant…

…until you put on a blouse and it looks like you’re smuggling worms in your chest.

2. Underboob sweat.

Enough said.

3. All those elegant strappy tops are ruined by the shapewear gaping out at the sides…

…and if you don’t wear a bra with sheer tops you end up looking like you’re channeling Rachel from Friends.

4. White bras just don’t stay white.

*To be clear, there is a lot of suggestive manipulation of fruit in this article and it’s probably NSFW, even if it is just an orange.*

Our fruit salad just feels dirty now. (Picture: Youtube/Simple Pickup)

Yep, we feel a bit weird after watching this.

Experts of flirting Simple Pickup are back, and this time they’re instructing mankind on how to bring a woman to orgasm using only their fingers.

Except you’re not really allowed to demonstrate fingering techniques on actual vaginas and clitorises on Youtube. So Simple Pickup’s Jesse has decided to ruin any future enjoyment of fruit salad by violating a melon.

And a papaya. And an orange.

Giving up smoking? Yeah, we know how you feel.

It’s notoriously hard to crack the habit. The evil weed somehow calls us back time and time again, despite the fact we are clever people and we know it is all sorts of bad.

We get it. We really do. And we want to help you quit.

So we have got a leading hypnotherapist and psychotherapist on the case.

Susan Hepburn has helped thousands of people break free of addiction in the past 30 years, including singer Adele (she also helped Lily Allen crack her diet and drop three dress sizes, but that’s another story).

Man shuts down cheating ex in the most passive-aggressive way possible

We Brits have our priorities straight. While we don’t like cheaters, what we really can’t stand is people who can’t tell their ‘theirs’ from their ‘theres’.

Which is why this man’s response to his cheating ex-girlfriend’s text rant so appeals to our British sensibilities.

The couple’s text row has now been viewed over 400,000 times after it was shared by Imgur user Aronaf, who may or may not be the wronged boyfriend himself, known only as Sean.

As the girl, who comes up in Sean’s phone as, um, cheating w****, begs him to take her back, she becomes ever more desperate, and increasingly sweary.

Meanwhile, his responses get shorter and more pointed. Until he… Read the full story

Remember when you were 21 and could stay out until 5am and go straight to work?

And now, more than three glasses of wine on a school night means you struggle to walk the next day?

The change is sudden but sometimes it’s time to take stock and understand the signs that you are in fact too old for weeknight partying.

1. If you do go to the pub after work you find yourself thinking things like ‘if I leave now, I can make it back before Sainsbury’s shuts’.

2. You often prioritise things like washing your hair and reading a chapter of your new book over staying for another drink.

3. In fact, you’ve been known to make up pretend plans… Read the full story

Having a new baby is one such thing.

During the first few months of trying to keep a small child alive, there are certain things that no longer feel like a priority. There are also certain things, which you once took for granted, which suddenly become of the utmost importance – namely, your sanity.

With this in mind, there are some things you’d be best off avoiding saying to a new mum.

You have been warned.

9 things you know if you don’t give the vaguest f*ck about Back To The Future

Back To The Future gif

OHDEARGODSHUTTHEF*CKUP.

1. ‘Back To The Future Day’ is NOT a thing. People who are going round saying ‘Happy Back To The Future Day’ should be cast out from society.

2. The film wasn’t even that great. I saw it once and thought it was meh.

3. In fact, there were clearly about eight million better films made in the 80s (no, we’re not going to name them all, but we all know it’s true).

4. Any chance of us giving a f*ck was killed by the fact that the build-up started about 18 months ago.

5. The whole thing has just turned into one massive marketing opportunity for not-quite-right faux-products that we don’t actually want or need.

6. Hoverboards look shit, and those Segway things everyone’s losing their minds over aren’t hoverboards because they have wheels.

7. If you have two working hands you don’t need self-tying shoe laces.

8. And anyway, isn’t that just Velcro?

Cheese might actually help prevent weight gain

Cheese gif

We didn’t really need an excuse to eat more cheese, but scientists have just given us a reason to feel better about doing it.

Instead of making us fatter, it looks like cheese could actually be preventing us from gaining weight.

And here we were thinking we couldn’t love cheese more than we already did.

The researchers wanted to find out why the French can eat all the cheese and still stay trim, they called it ‘the French paradox puzzle.’

To do this, they compared the diets of three groups: one high in milk, another high in cheese and the other on a controlled diet.

There’s nothing wrong with women showing off how fabulous their lives are on Instagram.

Well, except for the fact it makes everyone else insanely jealous to look at bikini pictures on beautiful beaches, while we’re stuck in an office wishing we were there.

Which is why we’re really enjoying these guys taking the p*ss out their sisters – and girlfriends – by mimicking their perfect Instagram pics.

Because bikini body pics look reassuringly ridiculous when a guy’s butt cheeks are hanging out.

Get off. (Picture: Youtube/People’s Choice Awards)

To whoever decided hugging was an appropriate form of greeting an acquaintance: I hate you.

Life as someone who’s not a fan of physical contact is tough. Because physical contact is all around us.

It’s lurking at parties, when you meet someone who thinks a handshake is too formal. It’s essential to important stuff like bra fittings and waxing.

Having to touch people is a plague on society, that causes endless struggles for all of us poor sods who just aren’t good with placing body parts against other people.

1. Greetings are a battlefield

How about we settle for a friendly wave? Or a handshake, if you’re feeling friendly?

Oh, nope. You’re going in for a hug. I hate you.

Private tenants living in rented accommodation are now paying on average more than £800 a month, according to recent reports.

Property expert Adrian Gill said: ‘Rents have been growing faster than ever… Across the country, towns and cities are seeing demand from local tenants outstrip the supply of properties to let, with inevitable effects on rents.’

We took a look at property website Zoopla to see what kind of home renters would be able to afford around the country with a budget of £800 pcm.

Men like the idea of dating smart women but their egos can’t take it, says study

Rolls eyes

A new study has found that while men like the idea of a woman who’s smarter than them, in reality, they’re less likely to date them.

Researchers at the University of Buffalo, California Lutheran University, and the University of Texas confirmed that men are in fact intimidated by intelligent women, whether they realise it or not.

For the study, called (Psychological) Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder (oh science), the researchers enlisted the help of 105 straight men. First, they gave them a hypothetical scenario where a woman had either outperformed or underperformed them in a maths or English course.

The men were then told to imagine that woman as a romantic partner.

In the hypothetical scenario, the guys didn’t have a problem imagining life with a smarter woman.

Whatever

But, when the same experiment was carried out for real – as in the men were given intelligence tests and then… Read the full story

Not everyone is convinced that a mouthful of yogurt teeming with millions of live bacteria is great for your gut.

As the NHS notes, there is little evidence to support claims that probiotics restore the natural balance of your gut bacteria.

But not to worry if you’ve already spent a small fortune on the yogurts, it probably wasn’t a waste of money after all.

New research has shown that the friendly bacteria could help reduce stress and improve mental health.

In a study of 22 men, volunteers who took the probiotic for a month had lower levels of daily stress than those given a ‘dummy’ placebo.

A pair of 80-year-old grandparents have celebrated their 60 year anniversary in pretty much the most adorable way ever.

Using an adaptation by their grandson Jason Lyle Black, they’ve performed the theme from Disney’s Up.

Yep, the one that played in the first 15 minutes of the film when we saw the montage of Carl and Ellie’s marriage and our hearts broke into a million pieces.

This one’s emotional, but in a heartwarming, rather than heartbreaking, way. Hooray.

Burger King launches new breakfast menu nationwide to rival McDonald’s

Who needs McMuffins? (Picture: Burger King)

While we’re all losing our minds about McDonald’s launching all day breakfast on another continent (definitely not here, no), Burger King have been quietly plotting a McMuffin takeover.

The other burger giant is rolling out a new breakfast menu nationwide and it involves hash browns stuffed with melted cheese and something called a Croissan’wich.

A Croissan’wich, for the uninitiated, is a ‘delicious’ croissant bun filled with American cheese, an egg patty (yum) and a filling of your choice: sausage, bacon, or, um, sausage and bacon.
