My mansion’s bigger than yours (Picture: Caters)

A Hollywood producer wants to build the mega-mansion to rule all others.

When built, the $500 million (£328,412m) palace in Bel Air will more than double the record for the world’s most expensive house ever – a $221m (£145m) London penthouse, sold in 2011.

The 100,000 sq ft. hillside plot is currently under construction and can be seen dwarfing the multi-million pound mansions of superstar neighbours such as Jennifer Aniston and Elon Musk.

best and worst biscuits

When it comes to tea breaks it goes without saying that nobody does it better than the British.

And no tea break is complete without a biscuit.

While tea was the mortar with which the Empire was built, our no less than magnificent range of biscuits were the bricks.

But in recent years our proud heritage has been besmirched by cookies bigger than manholes, muffins the size of your head and (whisper it) cake pops from across the Atlantic.

Well no more. Here’s 21 British biscuits ranked from worst to best.

21. Pink wafer

The Jeremy Clarkson of the biscuit world. Personally I have no time for either the Top Gear host or the sickly sweet, luridly-coloured children’s party snack, although I realise there’ll be readers up and down the land thumping their screens in anguish at its relegation to last place.

What’s better than a G&T or a Pimm’s on a summer’s evening?

A frozen G&T or Pimm’s, of course.

Gordon’s Frozen Cooler is a pouch of gin, apple and elderflower that you serve from the freezer.

Meanwhile, Pimm’s Summer Crush is a fruity frozen mix of Pimm’s with hints of strawberry and cucumber.

Yes, they’re basically slushies for grown ups.

No, they don’t leave your tongue blue.

Pimm’s Summer Crush and Gordon’s Frozen Cooler each cost £2.99 for a 250ml pouch from Tesco.

Because this supe knows body confidence (Picture: Youtube.com/user/TEDxTalks)

Model and body activist Ashley Graham delivered a killer speech during a TEDx Talks conference where she addressed body image, loving every inch of herself and breaking the fashion industry.

Most notably, Graham talks about the ‘plus-sized’ label saying: ‘The fashion industry might persist to label me as plus-sized, but I like to think of it as my-sized’.

Following the event last week, a video has been uploaded to YouTube of the 27-year-old stunner in action on stage at the event, and it is everything in terms of inspiring body confidence.

Because Graham is bang on the mark when she says ‘we need to start looking beyond the plus-size model paradigms’.

Meet YouTuber Onur Armagan. He’s pretty pleased with himself because he’s just made what he believes to be the world’s largest functioning whoopee cushion.

Which is a fairly decent day’s work in anyone’s book, surely. It’s fun for all the family.

Well, except for one hard-to-please family member.

Whoopee cushion gif final

If nothing else, this video clip uploaded two days ago and watched by almost 500,000 people proves what we’ve always known – that cats consider themselves vastly superior to their humans.

Because as Onur gleefully throws himself on his giant farting cushion, the camera slowly cuts to his cat’s face.

And, well, if cats could roll their eyes. So. Much. Shade.

As Onur writes below the clip: ‘My cat hates me. I think she’s secretly been planning my demise since 2011. It’s only a matter of time,… Read the full story

Of course you have. You’re only human.

Well, now this pizza-ception exists thanks to Vinnie’s Pizzeria in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Vinnie’s ‘Mini Vinnie’ is basically pizza with a pizza topping. It’s pizza squared (or triangled, or something).

Ben and Amy’s save the date has been posted as a cautionary tale for all brides-to-be (Picture: howa/Imgur)

This wedding save the date was posted on Imgur by user howa last month with the warning: ‘Why the husband shouldn’t make the wedding invitations.’

But we beg to differ.

While the couple featured are actually due to celebrate their three year wedding anniversary (we hope) later this month, their save the date was clearly posted as a cautionary tale for all soon-to-be summer brides.

At first glance, it looks like groom Ben has played everything by the book. There’s the loving shot of him with his future bride Amy sitting in a cornfield in… Read the full story

Mouse eating cheese gif

It’s British cheese week, which means it’s basically your duty to eat as much cheese as humanly possible. GO!

There’s no question that we’re a nation of cheese lovers; from cheese on toast to baked Camembert, and even the odd cheeky Babybel (don’t deny it), we just can’t get enough of the stuff.

But what is the most moreish of all the cheeses?

Well wonder no more (we know it’s a question that’s been playing on your mind for some time now), as the nation’s favourite cheese has finally been revealed.

Wait for it… (Picture: Getty)

Turns out, we don’t prefer to just lie back and think of England.

The UK’s favourite sex position is in fact *drum roll* doggy style.

A survey of 1,000 people across the UK by Ann Summers found that one in four people prefer doggy style, while 23 per cent favour ‘women on top’.

Missionary position flopped languorously into third place with 21 per cent of the vote.

It’s not just the young’uns who prefer doggy style either – 30 per cent of 35 to 44-year-olds agreed doggy was best, although a quarter of 44 to 54-year-olds preferred women on top.

Your early twenties can often be a rush of missed university assignments, impromptu relationships beginning and swiftly ending and doubts about which way to go career-wise.

But hopefully by the time you’re a bit older, you’ll have learned some of these things…

1. Staying out past midnight is overrated

giphy

Once upon a time, if you ever left a night out or a house party before 2am, you’d be branded lame.

Now, your hangovers don’t disappear as quickly as they once did, and the call of your duvet is greater than any club.

2. Liking your job is important

We haven’t been able to do a handstand since circa 1997, so this video of a man and his dogs doing yoga positions together is putting us to shame.

Aussie dude Dai Aoki has a whole YouTube channel dedicated to his border collies Ace and Holly and their amazing tricks.

As well as ball games and bucket catching (true story), the trio like to do yoga together on a Sunday evening.

And they’re, hands down, better yogis than you.

Check out the group handstand.

Bride turns up to wedding in a coffin
So this is weird (Picture: News Team/SWNS)

Jenny Buckless decided to turn up to her wedding in a closed coffin, complete with her own personal Grim Reaper… because why the hell not?

The 56-year-old bride chose to salute her Hell’s Angel brother, Roger, on the big day by borrowing his trailer with attached coffin and getting towed by VW Trike to the registry office in Anglesey, Wales.

‘I just wanted to do something a little bit different. Instead of turning up in a horse-drawn cart, I thought “I’m going to turn up in a coffin”,’ she said.

Ms Buckless, a former funeral parlour worker, was driven by her sister-in-law Hayley Buckless as Roger was unable to do so and, as you’d imagine, turned a fair… Read the full story

Lols: If you’re prone to fits of the giggles, blame your genes, says study

giggling

It’s not me, it’s my short alleles.

Are you prone to incapacitating fits of the giggles? Apparently, it’s the fault of your genes, according to a new study.

Researchers from the Northwestern University in Illinois found that people with short variants of the 5-HTTLPR gene, which helps transport serotonin in the body, laugh or smile more easily.

For the study, published in the journal Emotion, volunteers were shown funny newspaper cartoons or a ‘subtly amusing’ clip from the film Strangers In Paradise.

Scientists filmed participants’ faces and then researchers who were trained in distinguishing real laughter and smiles coded their responses.

Giggling 2

The experiment concluded that people with the short allele of the gene showed more positive expressions and responded with more genuine smiling and laughter than those with long alleles.

In fact, these people just feel more in positive or negative situations.

F*ck, Marry, Kill with grandmas is officially the best thing ever.

The team at Elite Daily rounded up a group of scandalous grandmas to play the game and give their two cents on actors, singers, rappers, presidents and serial killers, obviously.

To the white-haired lady in pink who says, ‘Idris Elba? F*ck for sure’, LOL.

Ditto to the grandma who says ‘Ooh, I’m gonna f*ck Justin Bieber and really hurt him’.

Then there is the one who tells it really straight: ‘I don’t want to kill any of these guys, I wanna f*ck them all.’

Basically these OAPs give all the f*cks. Watch this (WARNING: it contains strong language, obviously).
