Ooookay, Disney just got pretty dark.

Artist and action figure creator Matt Christensen has decided to hop on the Disney princesses reimagined train, just in time for Halloween.

But these are no cutesy costumes or pretty vampires. His reimagined princesses are pretty intense. As in, ‘wow, I don’t think I can watch my favourite childhood films in the same way ever again’, intense.

Oh, cool. Ariel has murdered Eric and torn Ursula in half. We are completely fine with this.

Vomilicious.

Having a Halloween party? Want to gross your mates out with some truly disgusting food? Then this cat litter cake – complete with tiny kitty turds – should do the trick nicely.

The recipe comes from the Noble Pig blog, and according to the blog’s founder Cathy Pollack it tastes a hell of a lot better than it looks. In fact, she claim, ‘What’s funny about this cake is it TASTES REALLY GOOD.’

What’s more, it’s dead easy to make, as it all comes from packets (our kinda baking, right?).

Notice anything? (Picture: Reddit)

Hey, no baby-shaming.

Huggies, seller of nappies and baby wipes, has been accused of photoshopping a thigh gap onto a baby. Awks.

A Redditor named spittingpigeon (great name) was the first to notice some weirdness in Huggies’ new ad, sharing a screenshot with the question ‘is it just me or did this Huggies ad photoshop thigh gap on a toddler?’

It turns out it isn’t just her, because other Redditors thought the advert looked a little ‘off’, too.

‘Lots of skinny babies out there, but with this photo the legs look fatter further down,’ wrote one Redditor. ‘It definitely looks anatomically odd to me.’

Nurses at a care home were moved to tears after seeing an elderly patient’s reaction to meeting a police dog puppy.

Kingston Police shared the story of when Muriel met 11-week old-puppy Daisy on its Facebook page last week and it’s had thousands of likes.

Last Thursday, Sergeant Tony Marshall and his team visited the Star and Garter care home in Surbiton to talk to residents about scams and crime prevention.

‘The nurses told Sgt Marshall that his visit had been a hot topic during residents discussions for around a month now and they were all really excited to see him,’ the post reads.

Residents were also very excited to meet the five police dogs he’d brought along.

However, some of the less-mobile elderly patients were… Read the full story

While Drake’s getting meme-d and Tyga’s busy looking after his $50,000 dog, there’s a new rap legend working on her art and taking over the game.

Meet Savannah Phan – rap name Princess Vannah – the 9-year-old girl who goes so much harder than Drizzy.

Savannah first became instafamous when her dad shared a video of her dancing with some stacks of cash. Apparently she didn’t even know he was recording her. She’s just this naturally cool.

Wow, we have never felt so old and lame.

‘The perfect setting for a good night’s sleep is something you will not find here,’ goes the Yoda-esque ‘sell’ for new Tokyo hostel Book and Bed.

Not quite sold yet?

‘There are no comfortable mattresses, fluffy pillows nor lightweight and warm down duvets,’ they go on. Okay then.

What they do offer is approximately 1,700 books (a mix of English and Japanese) and sleeping booths hidden away on the shelves next to them.

In other words, if you were the kid who read under the bedclothes with a torch when their parents told them to turn the lights out, this is for you.

Touching

Can I Touch You… There? Well Michael Bolton, it’s very nice you asked, but I’m gonna go with no.

And according to a new study by University of Oxford and Finland’s Aalto University  – the biggest study ever conducted into physical contact – I’m not alone.

Researchers asked 1,368 adults from the UK, Finland, France, Italy and Russia, to colour in body outlines to show where they are happy to be touched by different people – ranging from their partner to a stranger.

To be fair, many of the results are pretty unsurprising. For instance, no one was really up for anyone except their partner touching them… there.

The Caribbean has long been one of most coveted destinations for Brits seeking a bit of sea and sunshine who aren’t totally horrified by the thought of a long haul flight.

St Lucia, Barbados and Jamaica tend to be the top choices, and while they’re pretty fab and all, there’s an equally beautiful island next door to them that many people have still never heard of.

Nevis (pronounced Neevis) has everything you could want from a Caribbean break and more.

Anti-rape cloak by Sarah Maple

Like most women today, London-based artist Sarah Maple is tired.

She’s tired of hearing about yet another woman getting added to the long, long list of rape victims. She’s tired of rape culture in general, really. But most of all, she’s tired of the idea that somehow, getting raped is the victim’s fault.

Because you know, the woman probably dressed too sexy. She was out on her own. She was drunk.

Maybe if she’d just stayed covered-up and sober, it wouldn’t have happened. She’s asking for it, really, by wearing what she does, being a woman, and going outside.

In protest of all the bullsh*t, Sarah’s created a… Read the full story

Oh, the wonders of the female body. So mysterious and magical.

And the same way that periods, multiple orgasms, and female ejaculation leave men completely befuddled, female contraception is an area that most men know little to nothing about.

Because basically, they either wear a condom, or trust that their sex friend is on the pill. That’s all they have to do.

So in a mission to help men everywhere learn more about all the myriad ways women are protecting themselves against pregnancy, Facts got a bunch of men in a room and asked them to talk through female contraceptives.

The men hadn’t even seen the majority… Read the full story

At some point in your travels, you’ll come across a sight that’s so beautiful, it takes your breath away.

In those moments there’s only one thing to do. Take a photo. With your balls out.

Nutscaping is a photo-taking trend which involves dropping your trousers, whipping out some testicles (yours, if you have them), and gently hovering above the camera so your balls hang down like a majestic moon in the sky.

Nutscapes.com is a website dedicated to capturing the phenomenon, and has even shared a handy guide on how it’s done:

Pictures of the adorable panda cubs were released by the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) to celebrate a record year for panda births.

Because a bumper year for pandas is definitely worthy of celebration.

This year, the research centre saw 26 cubs born, with 23 surviving, including nine pairs of twins. One of the cubs was born to Mei Xiang at Washington’s Smithsonian National Zoo. One other was born outside China, at the Malaysia National Zoo.

Anyway, enough facts. Just take time to enjoy this adorable panda photocall.

Divorce jewellery – will it catch on?  (Picture: Alex Monroe)

Or a necklace? Or new bracelet for that matter?

We’ve all been through bad break-ups and let’s be honest, not all of us have a simple ‘conscious uncoupling’.

From old t-shirts to record collections, most of us acquire a lot of s**t from ex-partners.

But possibly the most sentimental item we are left with is the jewellery.

And here comes the dilemma – what do we do with those once-treasured trinkets? We’ve taken a look at the more precious ways people are marking their break-up milestones.

Let’s start at the bitter end: if you want to stick two fingers up at a past relationship, Gisele Ganne’s somewhat macabre Divorce Ring collection makes a real… Read the full story

9 of the worst things about renting in London

London, London, England - UK
(Picture: Getty)

London is known for being expensive, I mean, a Gregg’s sausage roll is 10p more down here…

The average price of renting a flat in the great capital is at £1500 per month, and with rental costs continuing to rise, here are a few reasons we aren’t such big fans of renting in London:

1. Two words: cost comparison

Don’t do it to yourself. Do not look at how much you pay to rent in London and then ask your best friend in Liverpool what they are forking out for a place twice the size, with a garden and a bedroom that doesn’t resemble a cupboard under the stairs.

2. Garden – what’s that again?

London is, sometimes surprisingly, one of the greenest cities in Europe.… Read the full story

Okay, people. It’s time to get strict and give ourselves a bedtime. A really, really specific one.

Some scientist-y types have got involved to help us out, discovering the exact perfect time to go to bed. In Winter, anyway.

Basically, it turns out that the colder months make it trickier for us to get a proper night’s sleep, with a new study finding that 55% of people struggle to sleep in Winter – mostly because they’re a bit chilly.

Researchers surveyed 1,000 people about their formula for the perfect night’s sleep, and found out all kinds of interesting bits and pieces about how to feel properly rested when it’s cold outside.

One thing they discovered is the perfect bedtime, which… Read the full story

Baby Girl Crying Becuase of Teething

You totally underestimate the impact teething can have on your baby before you have a little one.

It really is tough for them (and the parents). Not much can ease the pain and often the only remedy is lots of distraction and cuddles.

If your baby is teething here are 12 things you, as a parent, will understand:

1. There’s no warning.

One minute your baby is an absolute angel, then BAM – teeth start to move and they turn into a grizzly baby.

2. You’re constantly questioning, ‘Is it teeth?’

As most babies teething cannot talk it’s almost impossible to know whether they’re teething or something else is bothering them. It’s normally a process of elimination before you settle for their crying being down… Read the full story

It’s all down to the humble juniper plant which, if you didn’t know, is the main component of gin.

In devastating news to us all, the juniper plants in Scotland – considered the best place in the UK to get hold of the key ingredient – are being killed off by… Read the full story
