And now the story gets even better. Because Kala and Keira have been adopted – by two best friends.

The Atlanta-based dog rescue charity Angels Among Us Pet Rescue initially posted the photo of Kala and Keira on its Facebook page after learning they were due to be put down at a ‘high kill’ shelter (so called because they have a time limit on how long rescue animals can… Read the full story

So this happened (Picture: The Works)

Ask yourself, is it really so wrong?

After all, it’s sort of like a sweet satay sauce. Right?

Because ‘they’re nuts’ and also to honor of National Nut Day this week, Canadian burger chain The Works created a burger stuffed with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

That’s a beef patty stuffed with melted peanut butter and chocolate. With a little extra Reese’s Pieces scattered on top.

It’s left people questioning everything.

Like did we really need the fried onions on top?

In some capacity, we’ve all learned the lesson that we do not appreciate what we have until it’s gone but when this refers to someone you love, it’s a particularly difficult realisation.

True friends last forever, but that doesn’t mean maintaining friendships is easy, particularly when geography decides to interfere. Life takes us all in different directions and the chances of finding your dream career on your doorstep are often quite slim.

As you or the BFF go your separate ways, assurances that you’ll keep in touch every day and promises that nothing will change make that wrench a little bit easier.

Until you realise that EVERYTHING changes.

We know we say this virtually every other day, but this little girl has definitely, 100 per cent, won Halloween.

Dad Royce Hutain proudly showed off the amazing cloud costume – complete with special effects – he’d made for his little girl Zoey, via a video posted to YouTube over the weekend.

Royce and Zoey are the enterprising duo behind the GlowyZoey website. And they pull out all the stops every year. When Zoey was two-years-old, dad turned her into a human flashlight.

Last year, she was a light-up Minnie Mouse.

I’m dying! (Picture: Getty)

It’s that time of year, when the change in temperature brings on a variety of colds, sniffs and flu.

With sick days set to rise in the coming weeks, here’s the stages we all know too well from a day when we just can’t make it into the office.

Stage 1 – The Dreaded Phone Call

You call your boss to notify them of your impending absence. Even if you have a stomach bug, you still put on a husky voice, so you’re illness is super realistic.

Stage 2 – I. Can’t. Even.

I can’t get up. But I can’t sleep. Because I can’t breathe properly. I can’t face the walk to the living room to watch TV.… Read the full story

Merticus is a 37-year-old antique dealer and vampire who lives with his wife in Atlanta, Georgia.

He believes he was born a vampire and says he drinks human blood to maintain his energy levels.

I put my cross on, got my steak and carried out an interview with a vampire to find out what they get up to on Halloween (and we should warn you that some of the discussion is quite graphic about drinking blood so discretion is advised).

1. Fangs for chatting. How come you haven’t burst into flames yet? It’s pretty sunny out.

I’m wearing my polarized Ray Ban sunglasses and Neutrogena SPF 100, so you don’t have to worry about me spontaneously combusting.

When Polish photographer Agnieszka Gulczynska observed the bond between her toddler son and their three family dogs, she knew she wanted to document their special relationship. Igor is 2-and-a-half years old, and he loves spending time with his dogs, Vega, Pikey and Canon. "Igor and our dogs give each other a sense of emotional safety and ocean of unconditional love. Looking at the relationship between my son and his dogs, I realize that no interactive toy would ever replace the touch of dog's wet nose," Gulczynska told The Huffington Post. Having grown up in "a household where dogs were treated like family members," the photographer believes that close relationships with pets can teach kids important values. "Every day I can see my child learning empathy while taking… <a href=Read the full story

Well, it might be – but does that mean we should suffer?

First we gave you why popular superfood avocado is a plague on our society and should die. Now we bring the rest.

It’s been a bad month for dads and their willies. Just last week we shared the story of one poor guy whose daughter decided to willy-shame him in a public bathroom.

And now another victim of peen-shaming has come forward, posting his experience in Reddit.

Fittingly usernamed wtf_did_she_just_say and his wife decided to teach their daughter the words ‘penis’ and ‘vagina’. Which is a great thing, really, because it’s important to talk about bodies and general sex education early on.

Except they didn’t think through all the possible outcomes of their little lesson, and one day, when dad, wife, and daughter were hanging out, the little girl decided to discuss the difference between… Read the full story

Important chocolate news – Cadbury is about to make all your 90s nostalgia dreams come true by bringing back Fuse or Marble.

But not both, and only for Halloween.

Unless you lived in a hole in the 90s, you’ll know Fuse was the jazzy chocolate bar packed with peanuts, raisins, cereals and fudge.

Marble, meanwhile, was part of the more sophisticated praline set of the 90s, which also featured Guylian shells of course.

Both Fuse and Marble have dedicated Facebook pages created by fans calling for them to be resurrected.

Go on, wear your vagina loud and proud.

A new fancy dress from Wayne by Wayne Cooper is getting loads of love online. But probably not for the reasons they’d hoped.

It’s a ‘Sahara’ print maxi dress, complete with some fancy stud embellishment around the neckline. They say Sahara print, but people on the internet say vagina.

Vagina, vagina, vagina. All over the dress, in the form of a lovely oversized pink print.

The dress first got noticed when it was shared on the School Mum Facebook page. The parenting page’s founder, Sam, wrote: ‘So I bought this dress today from MYER because I really liked it…

No matter how many times we get a new gadget, use it twice, and then shove it into a cupboard to gather dust, we can’t help wanting more.

Because who can be bothered faffing around with toasters and frying pans when you can get an actual breakfast sandwich maker?

Also, why stick to run-of-the-mill flat omelettes, when you can have them on a stick? Yep. We’re talking omelette lollipops people.

Make room on your Christmas list/in your kitchen cupboard for these beauties.

This year they’re doing a tribute to Robin Williams, dressing up as – from left to right in the picture above – Mrs Doubtfire, Mork, Alan from Jumanji, Popeye, Captain Hook, the Genie, and Armand Goldman from the Birdcage.

In 2014, they were Will Ferrell.

Nothing says Halloween like a handmade pork scratching (obviously) (Picture: Hazel Paterson)

Even if you’ve always failed to get crispy crackling on your pork joint you’ll be able to make a batch of these beauties for your Halloween party this weekend.

There’s a special place in my heart for pork scratchings, yes, yes, one day this may well turn into heart disease if I lived solely on these crispy beauties, but every once in a while I just HAVE to give in to their temptation.

Forget packets of ‘pig lumps’ hung behind the bar, these are light and bubbly and are all the best bits from a hog roast (yeah we all just want to eat the crackling).

Sorry Adele, but we’re going to have to say goodbye to ‘Hello’.

We know you’ve only just released your first song in five years and everyone is loving it, but it could be having a negative effect on our mental health.

According to a study published in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, listening to sad songs could be making us anxious and neurotic.
