There comes a point in everyone’s life when you become an adult. When the spontaneity and devil-may-care attitude of youth suddenly, doesn’t hold quite the same appeal.

When priorities change and you find yourself considering the consequences of the next day more and more – that’s not to say you don’t still appreciate a good night out – just that, now, you bring a pair of sensible shoes for the journey home.

Think you’re still queen of the night?

Here are 21 signs you’re too old for staying up after midnight.

1. You’re amazing at mental maths

*If I leave at 10.47 and speed walk to the station, the journey, without delay, should see me home by 11.34, up at 7am… Read the full story

Sadly there will be no clitoris celebrations (Picture: Getty Images/METRO/mylo)

Residents of the Galician-speaking town As Pontes were more than a little confused when they saw an advertisement for a ‘clitoris festival’ on the town’s website.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with celebrating the female form in all its glory, vaginas and all, but what does one do at a clitoris festival?

Eat cupcakes in the shape of vaginas, while watching the Vagina Monologues?

Looking at your vagina in a mirror in the bath and daying vaginas

Nope, according to The Local, the Castillian Spanish version of the website read: ‘The clitoris is one of the typical products… Read the full story

Ready to have your faith in romance, streaming films, and general chilling destroyed for all eternity?

What was once an innocent phrase, and then an innuendo-laden invite to hook up, has now become a cesspit of sex, loneliness, and personal ads.

Nothing will ever be the same, because lonely people are now taking to Craigslist to advertise their Netflix and chilling services.

In fantastic news to us UK-based people, this horrific phenomenon doesn’t seem to have made its way over the pond just yet.

Let’s never go to America again, so we can all be safe from online adverts mentioning Netflix and girth in the same sentence.

A very hairy history. (Picture: Youtube/WatchCut Video)

It’s been a long, hairy journey to the year of man buns and hipster beards.

Men really have been through it all, facial hair wise. This Movember, Cut Video has created an ode to man hair, charting all the moustaches, beards, and hairdos men have tried on throughout the last 100 years.

It’s been weird. They’ve gone clean shaven, long and scruffy, and everything in between.

Expect to see many variations on these looks for the next month, and try to remember that it’s all for a good cause when you’re hating every man you see.

Ste took to Facebook to warn people they should never judge a book by its cover (Picture: Ste Walker/Facebook)

Fed up of people making assumptions about him based purely on how he looks, Ste Walker has written a powerful post on Facebook warning people to think before they speak.

The 24-year-old from West Yorkshire suffers from severe Crohn’s disease, a form of inflammatory bowel disease, and has spent much of the last 18-months in hospital.

He’s also undergone three life-saving operations in two years.

Yet, because he looks like ‘any normal guy my age’ with his clothes on, he’s faced criticism and attacks from complete strangers, some of whom have accused him of faking his illness.

Sick of people berating him for using disabled toilets and disabled car parking… Read the full story

Okay, we’ve stared at these photos for a good five minutes.

Dad and son Paul and Bobby Evers decided to think a little closer to home for their Halloween costume, going for the scariest thing of all: the idea that one day, you’ll become your parents.

And, for a spOoOoky twist, that your parents might become you.

Yep, they dressed up as each other, and did it impressively well.

When Dan White’s daughter Emily, who has Spina Bifida, said to him ‘I don’t see wheelchairs on the telly, are they allowed?’ he was devastated.

But rather than letting it get him down, he decided to do something about it and he created The Department of Ability, a comic book gang of superheroes who use their disability as their super powers. Is this the best dad ever?

Dan thinks that disabled children deserve to be represented in the media in a positive way, not, as he puts it, ‘just with sad music playing behind them.’

‘The D.O.A were designed to be as accessible as possible without losing sight of the aim behind their creation.

It begged the question, do advertisers purposefully make ‘tasteless’ ads to fuel Twitter rage?

Premier Estates Wine’s ad campaign, released in August, showed a woman with a glass of red wine placed in front of her crotch as she utters the line: ‘Australia practically jumps out of the glass – in fact, some say you can almost taste the bush.’

That was the strapline by the way: #TasteTheBush.

While the UK-based winemakers claimed… Read the full story

guinness gid pint being poured

Apologies to any vegetarians who had been drinking Guinness in blissful ignorance, but never in its 256 year history has it been suitable for veggies.

Until now that is.

In the past, Guinness has used isinglass in its production, which is a gelatin byproduct created from dried fish bladders. Yum.

It’s used to accelerate the process of filtering yeast from the stout and, while it doesn’t affect the flavour or texture of your pint, small traces of the fish remain in the drink.

We might love both cats and dogs, but let’s face it – we prefer one or the other.

So the question is, can we guess whether or not you’re a cat or dog person?

Take the quiz we’ve made below to find out.

These drawings without context make absolutely no sense

WikiHow is a wonderful place.

It tells you how to do pretty much anything with all sorts of illustrations and drawings depicting whatever it is that you’re being showed how to do, whether you’re fixing a squeaking bed frame or freezing a mango.

But some of those drawings are odd. Really odd.

And when you take away the descriptions they make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

The account No Context WikiHow has taken to the internet to prove that these images, without any context whatsoever, are hilarious. But ultimately nonsensical.

So we took a few guesses:

How to be slightly over-familiar with children?

How to ignore people while on drugs?

How to ignore giants with unusual… Read the full story

This photographer wants to take down the cat lady stereotypes

No lonely cat ladies here. (Picture: BriAnne Wills)

Cats: for some reason, they’ve got a pretty bad reputation.

Standoffish, boring, ‘trying to kill you‘ (psht, that’s just how they show love) – these are all insults slung in cats’ general direction, mostly by dog-lovers desperate to make their favourite animals look less dumb/needy.

But the most annoying bit of the cat-slander is when people think owning a cat means something bad about the person. If you’re a man who owns a cat, you’re weird. If you’re a woman, you’re a sad, lonely cat lady.

That’s the idea photographer BriAnne Wills wants to take down, once and for all.

The biggest faux pas most of us can make at the office is not offering everyone a cuppa on the tea round.

For porn stars things can get a little more awkward.

As Nikki Darling shares: ‘Probably most of my horror stories involve, like, you know, either being sh*t on, or accidentally sh*tting on someone else, and being like sorry, my bad.’

No Nikki, we really don’t know, we’ll just have to trust you on this one.

There are two primary reasons why people want to avoid hurting themselves. The first, and most obvious one is that it’s f***ing painful.

But the second is that it means you have to endure the sheer nightmare that is the dreaded hospital waiting room.

We will all do anything to avoid ending up in the cell of purgatory for hours on end, questioning whether you should have considered just treating yourself at home.

After a recent experience of standing in one (no seats, obviously) with bones broken in my foot for a lovely three hours, I was reminded of all of these torments everyone experiences during a visit to A & E, the… Read the full story

Pole-hogging: it’s rude, inconsiderate, and we can’t believe it’s a thing. (Picture: METRO/Daniella Birtley)

The other day, I hopped on a busy train at High Street Kensington, saw there were no empty seats, and quickly headed towards the centre pole.

And there he was. A man, leaning with his entire back, shoulders, and butt against the pole, oblivious to the one woman gingerly holding the pole above his head.

I walked around him, said ‘excuse me’, and in the moment he shifted his back (not in response, he was just getting comfy), quickly slipped my hand onto the pole.

I assumed that once he knew someone was there and attempting to cling on for dear life, he’d move. He didn’t. Instead, he shifted… Read the full story

Maths class was never like this when we were at school.

But then our 60-year-old maths teacher Mr Price wore a tweed blazer and cords, and he couldn’t work it out quite like this.

In honour of Halloween, this cool AF calculus teacher (not something we ever thought we’d write) dressed up as Drake and danced to Hotline Bling for his class.

And he’s got the moves.

A short clip was posted to Twitter last week by G Maya with the caption: ‘My Pre Calc Teacher Is Drake From Hotline Bling For Halloween’ and has now been retweeted and favourited over 100,000 times.
