Feel like your eyebrows just haven’t reached peak levels of fleek?

Better get turning them into rainbows, then. That’s the new big thing for decorating bits of hair on your face. Bushy Cara-style vibes just aren’t good enough anymore.

Thankfully, you don’t have to commit to permanently dyeing your brows a bunch of bright colours.

There’s a cosmetics brand named Winky Lux that’s made a special palette especially for the task, with high pigment rainbow bright makeup sold in a palette along with brow wax.

Available from US store Big Lots! and described as ‘the gift that keeps on giving’ the animated twerking penguin, dances (well, grinds) to its own beat.

turns out cats are scared of cucumbers

Just a few months ago, we shared the story of one poor cat being harassed by a cucumber. It was devastating. And hilarious.

But it turns out that cat hadn’t once had a traumatic experience with vegetables. ALL cats, it appears, are scared of cucumbers.

It’s officially their Kryptonite, as noticed by the Reddit thread dedicated to cucumbers scaring cats.

Here’s how it works. Find a cat distracted by food or a toy. Place a cucumber behind it. Observe as the cat notices the cucumber and freaks the f*** out.

The trick also works with courgettes, thanks to… Read the full story

The hilarious moment that a dopey dog had to be released by firefighters from a cat flap in Leicester. See NTI story NTIDOG. The five year old American Bulldog called Keeta got its head wedged in the flap when she spotted another dog in the garden. She is in season and got agitated and ripped the flap out of the door. The other dog ran off when approached by the owners.

Felix and Harry were born at 33 weeks (Picture: Nadia Cohen)

My twin sons Felix and Harry were born at 33 weeks and spent almost a month in the neo-natal unit at St George’s Hospital, Tooting.

Here are 10 things you shouldn’t say to a parent of a premature baby:

1. ‘I hope I have a small one!’

No-one plans to have a premature baby, so when pregnant women say they don’t want to get too big in the hope of an easy delivery, it’s really not cool.

2. ‘You must be enjoying the peace!’

At the end of the day neo-natal nurses will urge you to leave, but a silent house is suddenly the worst place in the… Read the full story

There’s nothing more frustrating than getting a ticket when you’re five minutes late back to your car or have managed to park in the wrong place outside your own house.

But, imagine if, instead of having to pay out cash to the man, you could donate canned food to those in need this Christmas instead.

That’s exactly what the City of Lexington Parking Authority’s ‘Food for Fines’ scheme – now in its second year – is for.

From November 16 to December 18, residents who receive a parking ticket dispensed by the parking authority or Lexington Police Department will be able to pay in canned goods instead.

Nail madness (Picture: Miri J/Instagram)

If you’re anything like us, you would have thought bubble nails were the craziest things in nail art around.

Well, like us, you were wrong.

The Tokyo Nail Expo is showing us levels of nail insanity that we just had no idea existed.

These nails have full works of art gracing them, they are adorned with flowers and pom-poms, there are bejeweled talons bigger than your hand.

We might not be recreating the whole look at home, but we’re inspired to at least throw on some glitter polish.

Now for those insane looks:

The history of why women started shaving their armpits

$

It’s a bit weird this obsession society has with women shaving off body hair that’s just trying to grow naturally.

We’ve all got it, so who was the oddball who one morning woke up and tried to make hair-free armpits a thing?

Well, according to a video from Timeline News it’s all down to an advert in Harper’s Bazaar in 1915.

Before then, ladies weren’t really shaving anything.

The ad told women that modern dancing and sleeveless dresses were the next big thing, meaning ‘objectionable hair’ was out.

Then a whole flood of anti-armpit hair adverts followed.

Being the pale friend is the worst. When everyone else is getting their spray tans on for a night out, you’re left covering your pasty complexion with even pastier makeup, because anything darker will give you that awkward contrasting face-to-neck disaster.

Here’s 16 problems only pale people will understand.

1. Buying foundation to match your skin tone is awkward so you end up with something called Ivory or Porcelain. And even they don’t match your white skin completely.

2. Being asked ‘Can I use your foundation for my Halloween makeup?’ because it turns out your makeup is the perfect way to help somebody look like a ghost.

Children deal with divorce in different ways, but over time, you get used to it and things get easier.

It’s hard and sometimes it takes longer to heal the emotional scars it can leave, but eventually you begin to see the good that comes from divorce.

Often, divorce happens for the greater good. It’s not something that should be frowned upon. And it is definitely not something that should be negatively judged.

Here’s 11 things you’ll only know if you grew up with divorced parents.

Tracy Kiss swears by her regular semen facials (Picture: YouTube)

This is a genuine question.

Last week, beauty blogger Tracy Kiss, who suffers from rosacea, waxed lyrical about semen as an excellent ‘cooling, natural skin treatment to soothe sensitive skin’.

She claims semen, ‘harvested’ and delivered fresh each morning by a male friend in a (clean) Chinese takeaway pot, is the secret to baby soft, clear, skin.

‘I think people are concerned with the thought of putting semen on their face but actually it’s a very natural and healthy thing to do,’ she says during her lengthy tutorial.

The 28-year-old credits the ‘man moisturiser’, which she rubs into her skin and leaves to soak in for around 20… Read the full story

BRB, going to another world. (Picture: Getty)

Loving books is a wonderful thing.

Books are a cheap, technology-free form of entertainment. They let you step into the minds of people you’d never get the chance to meet. They take you to places you might never get to explore.

They broaden your mind, make you feel less alone in the world, and unite you with other book lovers far and wide.

But sometimes, being a book lover is terrible. Because any long-term love affair with reading comes with a certain set of struggles.

1. Losing your place in a book

That’s one happy pig in a blanket.

Wilbur the 20lb pot-bellied pig was apparently found wandering by the side of a road in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, last week.

The three-month-old was found with an injured back paw but soon rallied when he was cocooned in a snuggly blanket by animal rescuers.

A video of Wilbur being cuddled by a member of not-for-profit animal shelter Friends of Anne Arundel County Animal Control has been melting hearts after it was posted on Facebook over the weekend.

Senior couple and granddaughter walking dogs, Norfolk, UK

One Tumblr user has hit the nail on the head when it comes to the acceptance of transgender people.

This simple example takes on a seemingly complex issue with total clarity.

The post, written by Tumblr user accidentalanarchy, says:

‘You know something I found interesting?

Is how when people meet dogs, they’ll say something like ‘He’s so cute!’

And the owner will shyly respond with ‘she’s a girl, actually’.

And the person will apologise and IMMEDIATELY start using the right pronouns.

So my question is, if it’s so easy to do with DOGS, why is it so f*cking difficult to do with trans people?’

We’ve all heard people insisting that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

But while some people debate the truth in that adage – at least for grown-ups – there’s very good reason to suggest we should be holding our children to it.

A new study has shown that children who eat breakfast are twice as likely to score high marks on tests, compared to children who skip the first meal of the day.

Caveat: It must be a decent breakfast.

We all remember our teen years, even though there are times when we would really rather not.

Being a teenager gives us the chance to learn about who we are. It’s a chance to mess up and embarrass ourselves without being judged as an adult.

So while we can’t really blame ourselves for what we got up to, there are definitely things we that, when we look back, we wish we could erase.
