For the entirety of December, Beating Bowel Cancer are asking all men to take part in ‘Decembeard’.

Men will ditch their razors and get sponsored for growing a beard, decorating their beard, dyeing their beard or even baking/knitting a beard to raise funds to help beat bowel cancer.

Beating Bowel Cancer is a supporting and campaigning charity for everyone affected by bowel cancer. They provide practical and emotional help – on the phone, digitally and face to face.

They run the UK’s only nurse-led specialist helpline for bowel cancer, which patients call a ‘lifeline’. They bring patients together to share experience and support, through their website, social… Read the full story

It’s National Brownie Day today and rightfully so!

Anyone can make a brownie, they’re super simple but none quite so rich and fudgey as these salted caramel fudge brownies with hidden Lindt chocolate truffles.

I’ve used Lindt chocolate truffles to hide inside the brownie mix but you can use whatever truffle or chocolate you fancy.

Why not chop up some Snickers or dark chocolate Bounty bars if you like your coconut? Anything goes.

I’ve used shop bought salted caramel sauce as it bakes better than my homemade version, which is mostly cream!

tiny rescue rabbit jumping in autumn leaves

Bun Bun is a tiny rescued rabbit who’s living her best life.

After being left on the side of a road, she was found by her new owner Amanda, who’s given her a home where she can run and play as much as she likes.

One thing to know about Bun Bun: she bloody loves autumn leaves. Seriously. She loves them so much. They’re her favourite thing in the world.

Or maybe she hates them. We’re not entirely sure. Either way, if you throw a bunch of leaves in her general direction, she’ll jump up to greet/attack them.

This is a rabbit… Read the full story

One woman perfectly explains depression to her mother in inspirational video

It’s not easy to explain depression to those that don’t understand. It’s twice as hard when the person who doesn’t understand is your own family.

But that’s exactly what one woman, Sabrina Benaim, an American poet has gone on to do. In front of a live audience, too.

Speaking in Oakland, on behalf of Button Poetry, Sabrina begins:

Mom,

My depression is a shape shifter.

One day it is as small as a firefly in the palm of a bear,

The next, it’s the bear.

On those days, I play dead until the bear leaves me alone.

This is true Christmas magic.

The Haberdashery will offer a free turkey dinner with all the trimmings and festive entertainment for up to 25 people who would otherwise be spending the day alone.

When Marty McFly traveled to 2015 with Doc Brown in 1989’s Back To The Future II he entered a world of amazing technology.

While sadly we didn’t quite live up to the all the expectations (still waiting on that flying car), we’ve not had a bad go at things.

Real life hover boards exist and Nike invented self-lacing trainers in time for Back to the Future Day, which got us all in a tizz.

And now we’re all over excited again, because the self-drying jacket has just become reality.

Happy Chanukah! (Picture: Getty)

Yay! The best Jewish holiday of all has finally arrived – it’s Chanukah, with its abundance of donuts, fun songs and plenty of pressies.

All right, so it may not be quite as well-publicised as Christmas, but if you’ve ever been to a carb-heavy Chanukah party, you’ll have experienced some of these situations.

1. You overdose on donuts

Jam donuts, chocolate donuts, hell, even peanut butter donuts – there’s no rule, just shove ’em all in your mouth.

2. Your diet plan just doesn’t work

Forget office Christmas parties, latkes every night for eight days?

There’s no chance of being skinny by the time January rolls around.

3. You spend loads on gifts

When life gives you lemons, take a bite and screw up your face in the most adorable way.

Because it gives the rest of the world a whole lot of joy, just like this 10-month-old baby has.

It’s not the first time a baby’s had an epic reaction to a bite of citrus fruit, but what we love about this one is the delayed reaction.

They have a little bite, ponder on it a moment and only then do they go full screw-face.

Let’s see that again:

Over the weekend, Cara Delevingne posted a photo of herself looking pretty badass with model Adwoa Aboah, each wearing a sweatshirt reading: ‘The Future is Female’.

We all immediately wanted to buy said sweatshirt, obviously, so were pleased to see that Cara was indeed selling them. She’d added them to online store Represent for $39.99 (around £26.69), with proceeds going to Girl Up!, a charity that helps young girls in developing countries.

Which all sounds lovely, really. Except there’s one (pretty massive) problem.

Cara and her girlfriend St. Vincent had previously been seen wearing… Read the full story

Not a bad note to come home to (Picture: Imgur)

A wife who’s been feeling depressed recently came home from a trip to find an adorable note from her husband – written on the mirror in their bedroom in (hopefully non-permanent) Sharpie.

He had listed of all the things he loves about her.

Imgur user mollywho shared the note yesterday with the explanation: ‘I’ve been depressed lately. Thankfully, my husband seems to get the whole “For better, for worse…” thing.’

She explains underneath: ‘I’ve been juggling a LOT lately. Trying to move up the (ahem) corporate ladder. Just got married. Couldn’t afford a wedding. Family is sparse. Falling out with friends, yaddadyadda. But, the thing… Read the full story
