You said you wouldn’t do it. So does every other parent. But sooner or later you discover the power of kids’ TV to calm little ones and give you enough time to go for a wee.

But children’s programmes aren’t just good for kids. They’re an education for grown-ups too. Here’s what we’ve learnt.

Ugly people aren’t allowed to do links

Many broadcasters are diverse in their choice of studio presenters, but one group isn’t represented at all: uglies. Broadcasters would rather have a mangy dog puppet manning the desk than risk showing somebody who isn’t both skinny and perky.

Some of the funniest stuff on TV is on… Read the full story

Contrary to what the fashion industry may have you believe, not all women have a four inch gap between the tops of their thighs.

As shocking as it seems, some women’s legs actually touch. And what’s more, that might just be totally okay.

And, while the internet has been calling BS on the thigh gap since it reared its unrealistic head sometime in the 2010s, one photographer is rumoured to be turning her crusade in body confidence into a book.

In 2013, New York-based photographer, Stacey Baker began photographing women from the waist down – a project she’s dubbed Citilegs – in a bid to prove what we often forget… we’re all different.

Here are the biggest fashion moments of the last 100 years in just two minutes.

Youtube channel Glam has hopped on the what we’ve looked like in every decade trend.

From buttoned up in 1915 to some very questionable hair and make-up choices in the 80s, a LOT has changed when it comes to what we like to wear. 90s and 30s – still very cool. 2005, not so great.

exes do body shots for cut video as part of playing Truth or Drink
(Picture: Cut Video/Youtube)

Sitting face to face with an ex doesn’t sound like a barrel of laughs. One way to make it a lot more entertaining? Alcohol. And some really uncomfortable questions.

Cut video is back with another Truth or Drink series, this time ramping up the tension by getting exes involved. We didn’t think they could top the parents and their kids video, but this one wins, if only for the involvement of body shots.

Considering questions like ‘what did your parents think of me?’ and ‘do I ever pop into your head when you masturbate?’, it isn’t actually as painful to watch as you’d think, probably because loads of the couples are… Read the full story

Sounds a bit off at first, but wait, because this creamy dessert also comes with an optional balsamic caramel and a whole confit strawberry sauce, because balance. Hello lover.

‘Most soft-serve is made with a mix or powder, but I wanted to use fresh ingredients. Simple, quality flavors that we all love’ says Ansel.

2015 is definitely the year of the goat. No really it is.

If you didn’t think baby goats jumping around could get any cuter, you were wrong. The one thing that was always missing? Onesies. Of course.

Sunflower Farm Creamery brought this important development in the world of cute animals to our attention, uploading a video of two 3 week old baby goats dressed in pyjamas earlier on this week.

Apparently Winifred and Monty (brilliant goat names) hate the rain, so are more than happy to chill in the barn in their fuzzy onesies, jumping around and doing general adorable goat things.

With a Japanese mother and African American father, Ariana Miyamoto has become the first bi-racial woman to be crowned Miss Japan. The question of whether a person of mixed race should be eligible to win the competition has since provoked a heated argument on social media, Rupert Wingfield-Hayes reports.

Ariana Miyamoto is the first mixed-raced woman to ever be crowned Miss Universe Japan, but she’s not getting the attention she deserves.

With a Japanese mother and African American father, Miyamoto is what’s known in Japan as a ‘hafu’ (not foreign but not fully Japanese), and this, according to people on social media, means that she’s unworthy of the title.

These expressive portraits of animals are the work of the young Belgian photographer Vincent Lagrange. The ongoing project is called Human Animal, and we have to agree the photographs from both domestic pets and wild animals are indeed reflecting powerful "human" emotions.

Now, Belgian photographer Vincent Lagrange has brought that human side out, creating a strangely emotional photo series of portraits of animals, from a very wise looking dog to a cat that seems to be judging our life choices.

Life lesson: wrapping your dog in a blanket will make him look like Yoda.

1. You poo. Violently

At first your stomach churns and you try to ignore it and go back to sleep.

But then it becomes too loud to ignore resulting in a comic dash to the nearest toilet with your hands tightly clutching your bottom.
