‘Are you a cat or a dog person?’ you’ll often be asked.

But, for many of us, the answer is neither, because you know that rabbits are the best by a hop, skip and a thump.

Here’s 12 reasons rabbits are better than cats and dogs.

1. No muddy boots, frizzy drizzle hair or Tesco bags filled with excrement in your coat pockets

Because, while you can buy special leads, most rabbits give precisely zero f*cks about going for a walk.

2. They can live in the house or the garden

Or both. If you’re… Read the full story

When babies are really little, they don’t do much. They just sleep, poop, eat. Repeat.

To get round that problem, one dad has taken to doodling on his baby’s pictures on Snapchat.

Meet Snapdad, Belgian graphic designer Lukas Costeur, and his newborn baby son Felix.

Felix is the star of the Snapdad Tumblr page and he really is the most adorable little cartoon character we’ve ever seen.

Dad uses his doodles to illustrate the everyday realities of fatherhood.

Living with an inquisitive three-year-old is one of the joys of parenting.

It is also extremely exhausting and sometimes you simply don’t have the answers to some of the things they want to know. ‘Ask Daddy’ has become one of my most-used phrases.

Here are 15 questions that my three-year-old and those of my friends have asked and how we responded:

1. ‘Why is that a pizza?’

Because that’s what’s for tea. Now eat it!

2. ‘Why are plates round?’

Because that’s how they make them in the factory.

3. ‘How do babies get in there (mum’s tummy)?’

Very carefully.

4. ‘How do babies get out?’

Very carefully.

5. ‘Are those chilli mussels made out of people?’

No, that would… Read the full story

Chrimbo Limbo. Leftover turkey week. The festive perineum. Whatever you call it, the week between Christmas and New Year is a no man’s land of confusion and horror.

We genuinely don’t know how we will survive.

As we sit in a pile of roast potatoes, leftover wrapping paper, and a sad Christmas tree no one will take down until February, we feel a bit like crying.

But instead we battle on, wondering aloud what day it is and lamenting the fact that Christmas is a year away. These are our struggles.

What did you get for Christmas? Baby Easton got bacon.

We’ve all watched those videos where babies try lemons or avocados for the first time, but no one has ever – as far as we know – filmed the precise moment their baby experienced bacon for the first time.

Well, they haven’t put it on YouTube at least (and if it’s not on social media, did it even happen?)

California mum Melissa Beach uploaded a video of her 18-month-old son Easton trying bacon for the first time on Christmas morning and, let’s just say, there’s no chance of this kid going veggie… Read the full story

Don’t fancy this? (Picture: Getty)

Who says you need to drop £150 on entry and drinks at a huge nightclub?

Nobody, that’s who.

Here’s some cheaper alternatives to see in the new year – one even includes your onesie. Result!

1. Throw a house party

The good thing about this one is it doesn’t even necessarily have to be at your house. But on the off chance that you don’t have a mate willing to do the hosting, you can still keep things cheap by asking everyone to bring their own booze. Supply a few nibbles and just watch the drinks pile up over the evening. You literally won’t have to step foot in the alcohol aisle of the… Read the full story

Bad idea. (Picture: Disney/metro.co.uk)

A reminder that there are some things that really shouldn’t hop on the Frozen branding bandwagon.

Like condoms. That would be too far.

Or a champagne bottle designed for kids. Which actually happened. In real life.

A Frozen-themed drink has been discontinued after complaints from alcohol awareness campaigners, who pointed out that giving children fun champagne bottles to drink from might encourage them to drink actual alcohol.

The drink was a non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice in a champagne bottle – with a cork to pop – decorated with Elsa and Olaf.

America: land of the free, home of the brave, and a place where crisps and hot dogs can become one.

Pringles has just introduced a new flavour over the pond that’s slightly blowing our minds. We’re not entirely sure how to feel, tbh.

Presenting: hot dog flavoured Pringles. Or, as Pringles are calling them: Hot Diggity Dog Pringles.

They taste like hot dogs (as the name would probably suggest) and come in a snazzy hot-dog-shade-pink tube.

Would these even taste good? We’re not sure. It’s unclear whether or… Read the full story

When life gives you a cone of shame, use it to, um, drink water, or something.

Mine the cat is a little poorly, so has to wear a surgical cone. She hates it. She hates it so, so much.

But she has discovered that even the worst things in life can have a silver lining. In this case, the massive cone driving her to madness also serves as a bowl she can use to drink tap water. Genius.

So, let’s accept who we are and move on.

Because ‘new year, new you’ is never going to happen. And also it’s really annoying. Seriously, never say that.

So, how about some New Year’s resolutions that you might actually be able to achieve?

Whether you’re not a fan of feeling ‘girly’, have horrific flashbacks of your mum dressing you in a vision of tulle and pink, or like the dancing freedom trousers provide, it’s perfectly okay to just not be a dress person.

But on New Year’s Eve, things become a bit tricky.

Because however you’re celebrating, a little sequined dress tends to be expected.

Don’t stress – you don’t have to give in to the overwhelming  power of dresses. There are plenty of alternatives…

A £2,000 gin has been launched that makes you think: a) there are some people with too much money, and b) where can we find those people because we need to try this gin.

The gin has been made by a British distiller called Will Lowe, who managed to find a way to capture the elusive drops of gin called ‘angel’s share’ that are usually lost during distilling.

When you’re exhausted, fed up, and just don’t feel like you can go on, it’s always good to have a friend to carry you over those final hurdles.

One dog lucky enough to have someone offering a ride home – metaphorically and literally – is this magical dog, granted a piggyback by his owner.

Clearly, he’s got a little fed up being taken for walks. He’s done strolling on his little paws. He just wants to relax.

So on he hops, and clings on as his owner cycles him home.

Who would’ve known that fish should not – I repeat – should not – eat Dairylea cheese? Well, I mean, you’d assume it was just common knowledge, right?

Seriously, have you ever seen a shop stock anything but fish food when it comes to feeding fish? No, obviously not. Because fish food is safe for fish. They like that stuff. Dairylea on the other hand… a bit much.

Lipstick will always be there for you.

When you have zero smokey eye skills, but want to look a little fancy. When you need to distract people from the massive bags under your eyes.

And when midnight hits on New Year’s Eve, all your friends are making out with their respective boyfriends and girlfriends, and you want to make sure everyone knows you’re a strong, independent badass rather than a lonely person desperately looking around for someone to kiss, lipstick is there.

Because nothing simultaneously says ‘I’m not here for any kisses’ and ‘I look bloody brilliant’ like a bold lip.

Here are some of our faves.

Want to bring your baby up to be the musical genius of your dreams? Well, now you can.

With a new device called the Babypod you can actually emit music into your own vagina, relaxing your baby with the beautiful sounds of Mozart.

Or Drake, if that’s more your kind of thing.

Designed by the Institut Marquez, a leading international centre in gynaecology, obstetrics and assisted Reproduction in Barcelona, the little gadget is made to fit inside the vagina where it will fill your womb with the music of your choice.

They carried out a test in 2014 on hundreds of pregnant women, comparing unborn babies listening to music in the womb both abdominally (played into the belly from the outside) and internally, through the vagina.

The test showed that babies who had music played from outside of the womb didn’t generate a response to the music they were played.

Those who listened to… Read the full story

Have you ever wondered what your life would look like if it was spread out on a page in front of you? Well, wonder no more. Because one artist has done it for us.

For women, at least, that is.

Oh, and it’s mainly for women who enjoy spending hours in front of Netflix with messy hair and a large pizza you promise you will only eat half of – then eat the whole damn thing.

So, if you’re that kind of woman, these illustrations, by artist C-Cassandra, are for you.

And they’re absolutely, realistically, fabulous.

When you know you should shave, but also know you’re not getting any at the moment. So what’s the point?
