No, this isn’t him. Just to be clear

Everyone wants to know about a man’s penis implant.

And yes, before you scroll any further, your scrolling comes with images that are penis-based.

Yep. Really.

It turns out, he was in a near-fatal accident five years ago that left him with a spinal cord injury.

He was involved in a crash in which he impacted water and was then submerged.

Breakups suck. There’s no other way of putting it really.

And when texting is involved, it can get ugly pretty quickly.

Who hasn’t thought back on the end of their relationship and wished they’d said this or wished they’d said that?

There may even be things you didn’t even know you wanted to say. Like telling them what a knob they were for letting you go.

But imagine for a moment if you could pluck up the coverage and tell them exactly what you think? Look no further than here.

Here 10 things we all want to text our exes…but probably wouldn’t.

Scars are part of the tapestry of life.

Sometimes they are lessons from foolish mistakes, like attempting to choreograph a dance routine on a treadmill or trying to stroke a feral cat who clearly wants nothing to do with you.

And other times they can be powerful reminders of how strong people are – revealing how they have come through life altering events like cancer.

However they happened, they all have a story to tell and mark a passage of healing.

Which is something Helene Gugenheim celebrates as a precious thing in her project Mes cicatrices, Je suis entièrment tissé.

The title is taken from a line of one of Gugenheim’s poems and beautifully translates from French as: ‘My scars,… Read the full story

If you’re a cat owner, you’ll know that even though they can be the most snuggly, adorable things – they can also be the biggest arseholes.

While they can make you feel like the most amazing person in the world by giving you their undying love and attention – they can also decide they no longer like you.

And it can be so frustrating, trying every attempt to grasp their attention or make them understand what ‘NO!’ really means.

Here are 14 phrases you’ll totally relate to if you’re a cat owner:

1. ‘No! Get down! GET DOWN!’

Because apparently, they can hear you when you’re offering… Read the full story

Welcome to 2016, the year where fridge doors open without you lifting a finger and cupboards tell you when you’re running out of food.

Sure, we don’t need  all this new kitchen gear that’s being debuted at CES 2016, the tech expo in Las Vegas.

After all, we have been cooking for hundreds of years without it.

But life is definitely a lot more fun with it.

Here’s our pick of the foodie gadgets we really want, even if we don’t exactly need:

is this an instrument of communication or torture

The invention of the phone is a wonderful thing. It’s brought us together. It’s made us able to communicate with people around the world. Emoji are a thing.

But with great power comes great horror. Because talking on the phone – through an actual *shudder* phone call – is the absolute worst and should be banned, immediately.

Why? We’re not sure. Maybe it’s being unable to see the person’s facial expressions. Maybe it’s the pressure of relying only on our voice, no hand gestures, to express ourselves.

We have no idea.

There are some people who can make and receive calls with no bother, happily chatting away to their parents every evening and calling up to make a brunch reservation on a Sunday. These people are strange and wonderful.

Then there are the rest of us. The ones who have severe phone fear. These are our struggles.

January, what’s not to love about the one month of the year when people are done with going out and are more focused on getting their heads down and blinkers on until it’s over.

When it comes to dating however, it is also known as the month of sign-ups, with more people joining online dating sites than at any other time of the year.

Surprised? You shouldn’t be. After all, what’s more appealing than the idea of a snuggle on the sofa during the flattest month of the year. However, if you’re single in January you’re not alone – but there’s more to it than Haagen Dazs and box sets.

Look. We’re sorry to tell you this, and we really don’t want to ruin what is truly one of the greatest joys of being a human – eating pizza.

But according to research from mathematicians from the University of Liverpool, the way we’re slicing up pizza is all WRONG, giving us uneven slices and a sad, sad situation whenever we’re having a pizza party with all our friends.

No one wants to be the devastated friend who’s left with the one tiny slice of a pizza. The sad truth of the matter is that the way we’re doing things, there will always be one smaller slice. It is… Read the full story

Sometimes you try something new, and it doesn’t go to plan.

It’s okay. We’ve all been there. You live, you learn, maybe you don’t do it again. Or maybe you do, but with a slightly different technique.

Sometimes ‘not going to plan’ results in absolute terror and a major ‘wow, I really f***ed this up’ epiphany.

If this happens to you and you need to feel a little less alone in your embarrassment, just look to this cat.

He tried something new – wriggling out of his lead to escape the vet’s table. It works, actually. But right before he makes his glorious escape, there’s the moment he drops off… Read the full story

Online dating: It isn’t just for single people.

OkCupid has made a pretty major move in listening to the widening definitions of dating and relationships. They’ve introduced a feature specifically designed for polyamorous people, that allows people to date multiple people in a more open, honest way.

The dating site will now allow users who are set as ‘seeing someone’, ‘married’, or ‘in an open relationship’ to link their profiles with another user. This way, you can show potential dates that you’re committed to someone else upfront, and you and partner can look for dates together.

The new feature will rid the site of some of the confusion caused… Read the full story

It’s real. It’s happening. (Picture: McDonald’s/Getty)

It is a truth universally acknowledged that there is only one food other than pizza, nutella, and bacon that makes people on the internet completely lose their sh*t.

That one food is avocado. Deep fried avocado. Avocado eggs. Avocado on toast.

People love the stuff.

So McDonald’s Australia has made a pretty wise move in combining two of the world’s favourite things in one box of crispy goodness.

Yep, McDonald’s restaurants all over Australia are now offering fries covered in guacamole, because the world is a strange place and there is nothing that cannot be topped with avocados, apparently.

It’s classic human psychology. The people born without them think freckles are the most gorgeous thing ever, drawing on a few across the bridge of their noses in adolescence and considering temporary freckle tattoos in later life.

The people born blessed with freckles, meanwhile, tend to spend a good portion of time hating them.

Photographer Brock Elbank wants to show off just how beautiful freckles truly are. He started a project dedicated to freckled skin back in 2012 (which he had to then pause, restarting it in 2015), photographing people with distinctive freckles in a stripped back… Read the full story

Rain keeps our lochs topped up  (Picture: Getty)

It’s safe to say that we Scots aren’t renowned for our cheerful, positive nature, but while we might not show it every one of us knows that we’re very lucky to live where we are.

Here are 18 things every Scot should be thankful for.

1. The rain

Not only does it keep our beautiful countryside green and our majestic lochs topped up, but when climate change leaves much of the world in drought it’s a safe bet that Scotland won’t be one of those bits.

Really though, f*** Sundays.  (Picture: METRO/Myles Goode)

Weekends are awful. Why? Because they’re too damn good.

They’re a wonderful time of relaxation, bringing out all your fancy cooking skills, watching excessive amounts of TV, and reconnecting with who you are outside of the office.

But here’s the problem: there’s too much build up, and then they’re over before you know it.

The concept of weekends – their promise and wonder, followed by a sharp, sudden return to early mornings and work – is awful.

And the worst part of weekends? Sunday. Every single Sunday is a disappointment.

These are the emotional stages everyone goes through… Read the full story
