If this isn’t an amazing piece of memorabilia than we don’t know what is.

Designer Chris Epic-East has created a tribute to Alan Rickman and David Bowie in the form of British ales.

Sadly they are just that – a tribute – and not available to buy.

Although the labels on the bottle suggest the ales were produced by King Goblin/Wychwood Brewery, it turns out the designs really were just the product of an imaginative mind.

Wychwood Brewery posted onto their Facebook page: ‘You may recently have seen two Wychwood branded beer bottles featuring the late David Bowie and Alan Rickman.

‘The artwork was created by dedicated Wychwood fans celebrating… Read the full story

On Martin Luther King day, do you have a dream? This kid does and it's terrifying Taken without permission. Author unknown From: https://twitter.com/IncrediblyRich/status/689415533247107073
We’re afraid. We’re very afraid

Yesterday was Martin Luther King Day, which got people talking.

Kids were learning about the great man in school, people were sharing inspiration quotes based on his incredible speech.

And then there was this kid.

This kid had a slightly different take on what makes a good dream.

A dream where a spider robot takes over the world is something most of us would call a nightmare.

But not for this kid. This kid’s dream involves a ‘giant spider rowbot’ coming to life and killing everyone.

Watching TV is great, sure. And so much better than having to go outside and brave the sticky floors and loud noises of clubs and pubs.

But you know what makes TV even better? Alcohol.

And even better than just drinking wine while watching First Dates? Getting involved with a drinking game, designed especially for whatever TV show or film you’re currently watching.

Thankfully, your alcohol-addled brain doesn’t have to think of ways to turn Antique Roadshow into a method of getting smashed. Drinkwiki will do that for you.

Having spent five years as a professional photographer, Sebastian Luczywo thought he’d got his photography style down.

His goal was simply to tell a story in every picture and he was doing that brilliantly, receiving praise from all round the world.

But when his 17-year-old daughter Kaja came back from a school trip with five photos of her own, Luczywo knew he still had a lot to learn.

He told Metro.co.uk: ‘Kaja’s photos from her school trip showed me a very important thing in photography, namely the simplicity of looking at things, of concentrating on the subject to be photographed and showing… Read the full story

Prepare to feel uncomfortable, but maybe not as uncomfortable as these guys.

Because they’re the gay men who are touching a vagina for the first time.

We’re just the ones watching it.

It was only a matter of time, ever since lesbian couple and singing duo Bria and Chrissy kicked off the whole ‘I’ll show you mine if you show me yours’ escapade.

They had lesbians touch guys’ penises for the first time, which then turned into gay guys giggling over touching breasts.

Teenager Dion Parratt says that her experience has shown the shocking realities of what can happen after you become addicted to energy drinks.

The 18-year-old has been left with a serious heart condition because, she says, she consumed up to five energy drinks a day since she was 11 years old.

But it is likely, medical professionals indicate, that it not the energy drinks alone that are causing the problem.

She posted a startling image of herself on Facebook, covered in monitors and wires, to tell her story.

She wrote in her post: ‘This is what happens when you spend your childhood drinking energy drinks. I’m now stuck with wires and a massive box attached… Read the full story

We’ll admit it – we’ve seen a quite a few Disney themed weddings in our days on the internet. But none as stunning as this one.

Juliana Chong Stryker and her husband Bobby tied the knot back in November 2014, with a fairytale wedding to top all others.

The couple have a shared love of Disney since day one, so a themed wedding was only natural.

‘Disney clearly left a strong impression on both of us in our childhoods, the magic, the mystique and the romance,’ Juliana told metro.co.uk.

‘There’s something about Disney’s fairytales that simply speaks… Read the full story

Having teachers as parents is a uniquely strange experience.

It stays with you, whether it’s a sudden, unignorable need to buy notebooks, or pure anger at the fact that not all adults get six weeks off in the summer, or the compulsion to edit other people’s work in red pen.

Unless one or both of your parents are teachers, there’s no way you can truly understand what it’s like to grow up with parents other kids call Mrs or Mr ___.

These are things you’ll only know if your parents are teachers.

Sugar – the enemy of health? (Picture: Steven Legere/Metro)

Sugar is fast becoming the biggest dietary enemy we face.

The government now wants to impose a 20 per cent tax on the stuff for its contribution to our obesity epidemic.

It can be hard to think of a life without sugar as it’s in so much that we eat. There can even be surprisingly high amounts of sugar in foods that are meant to be healthy, like fruit.

But what exactly would happen to your body once you cut it out? We looked to science, and here seven things you could probably… Read the full story

McDonald’s is calling its new ‘innovation’ a ‘surprising and unique menu item’.

We’re calling it ridiculous (though we haven’t tried them yet).

French fries are being made ‘unique’ with drizzle of chocolate sauces.

Customers will get a choice of milk and/or white chocolate which can, the company reckons, make a great combo for different occasions and even as a dessert.

MORE: The McDonald’s of the future is here and it’s very, very shiny

What’s even more ‘surprising’ is the name: the McChoco Potatoes.

We thought it was a joke too but we checked and yes, there it is from the official McDonald’s newsroom and on… Read the full story

With Burns Night just around the corner, it’s the perfect time for chefs to dust off their classic haggis recipe for another year.

But one chef, Paul Wedgwood, has decided to go down a slightly less traditional route, skipping the usual sheep-themed option to make what he claims is the world’s first guinea pig haggis.

Yep. We’ll just let that sink in for a bit. This really is haggis made out of little guinea pigs.

We know we shouldn’t be too freaked out by the whole thing.

However, some of us take it to a whole new level of love and treat our pets like our offspring.

If you’ve ever had the unfortunate task of preparing an avocado for a salad, piece of toast, or perfectly posed Instagram shot, you’ll know that chopping into the little bastards is a whole load of faff.

First you have to cut through the shell. Then you have to cut them in half, doing a weird jiggle around the stone with your knife.

And finally, the most faff-filled bit: carefully slicing the filling into cubes in preparation of pressing the skin and popping out your carefully diced snack.

Too much effort, we say.

Art, a load of crap? (Picture: Lisa Levy/Christopher Stout Gallery)

Brooklyn-based artist Lisa Levy is about to spend two days sat on a toilet.

Not because she plans on eating a dodgy curry, but because she wants to protest about how crap the art world has become.

Like when people do weird things like sit naked in a box for a week and afterwards are like, ‘Hey that’s art right?’

It’s gotten so confusing as to what constitutes as art, that cleaners have even cleaned up an installation thinking it was just rubbish left over from a party.

Levy sees this kind of art as being incredibly pretentious, saying: ‘Ego and pretense has seriously… Read the full story

Norwood and Joyce lost touch after he returned to America (Picture: GoFundMe)

Norwood Thomas and Joyce Morris (née Durrant) first met over 70 years ago, in 1945, on the banks of the River Thames.

Joyce lived in Richmond at the time, while Norwood was an American solider – just months before, he had parachuted into Normandy with the 101st Airborne Division as part of the D-Day landings.

At the end of the war, Norwood left to go back to America, while Joyce stayed in the UK. They said goodbye at a train station and, although Norwood did write once, they never saw each again.

But, 71 years on, 93-year-old Norwood and 88-year-old Joyce are preparing… Read the full story

22 ridiculous things people used to believe as children

Kids have weird minds. (Picture: Getty)

Kids come out with the strangest things sometimes.

Partly because they’re gullible little critters, who will believe pretty much anything you tell them – one of the major perks of parenting.

And partly because they have wild imaginations that haven’t been curbed by the adult world yet.

So from an adult perspective the things they end up believing can be extremely funny.

Twitter has been sharing some of the best things they used to believe as children with the hashtag #AsAChildIUsedToThink and they’re brilliant:

1. How do turtles get their shells?

This is why you can’t focus

Can’t stay focused? (Picture: Getty)

You’ve spent the last two hours on a task that could have quite easily taken 20 minutes.

You catch yourself scrolling through Twitter for the fourth time in one morning, when you could have sworn you were doing something important five minutes ago.

Why can’t you just focus, buckle down, and get on with it?

Blame your brain.

In a new book called Deep Work: The Secret to Achieving Peak Productivity – excerpted on Wharton University of Pennsylvania’s website and highlighted by The Science of Us – computer science professor Cal Newport explains that in order to actually focus and stop getting distracted, we… Read the full story
