A woman has hit back at a guy who told her she shouldn’t have a baby and a job, with an honest post about what it’s really like to balance work and motherhood.

Susan Keogh from Kildare, Ireland, is a newsreader for Today FM. She’s also a mum to four-year-old daughter Faith.

Susan begins her open letter, which she shared on Twitter, ‘Dear Brave Man, I got your message. The one where you pointed out that if I missed my 4 year old girl so much while I’m in work, then I should just give up my job.  Or quit posting… Read the full story

Just when you thought pizza could get any more convenient, we give you microwave pizza in a mug.

No one’s judging anyone here, okay?

The Microwave Mug Pizza comes courtesy of food blogger Gemma Stafford. The single serving can be whipped up in less time than it’ll take you to find the Domino’s takeaway menu and, Gemma promises, it’s incredible.

It’s also made with fresh ingredients, or as Gemma puts it, this is ‘REAL fast food’.

To be honest, they had us at pizza in a mug.

A film blogger has recreated Oscar nominated film posters with Winnie-the-Pooh and friends, and, somehow, it works.

David Adamek, a film blogger for website sfilmowani.tv, based in Warsaw, Poland, was inspired by Twitter user @dilsexia, who recently shared a picture of Winnie-the-Pooh jumping on top of Christopher Robin and captioned it: ‘The Revenant’.

In less than a week, the image has been shared over 12,000 times and liked over 13,000 times.

Clearly, being mauled by a wild bear is slightly less terrifying when it’s Pooh Bear.

This encouraging note was circulated to pupils at a Northern Ireland primary school at the weekend (Picture: Carrickfergus Grammar School Music Society/Facebook)

Receiving bad exam results can sometimes feel like the end of the world. Of course, in reality, it never is.

Which is why one County Antrim primary school took the step of sending a letter out to all pupils receiving their transfer test results – the results that would decide which secondary school they would get into – this weekend.

Harmony Hill Primary School in Lisburn asked each pupil to read their letter before opening their enclosed test results.

‘Inside the envelope is a score,’ the letter began. ‘It’s a score you’ve been… Read the full story

Game Of Thrones is fantastic.

It’s got pretty much everything you could want from a TV show – politics, powers struggles, sex, characters you love, characters you hate, gripping plots, quick wit, awesome costumes and unbelievable sets and locations.

Due to the fantasy element (you know, the whole dragon shebang) the show features a lot of computer-generated imagery.

But you may be surprised just how many of the sets you can visit, IRL.

The city of Dubrovnik, in Croatia, has played host to the HBO show’s cast and crew many times as they return series… Read the full story

Heinz Ketchup’s Super Bowl ad stars hundreds of little stampeding hot dogs and we just can’t live without it

As far as we can tell, the Super Bowl is about building mini-stadiums out of nachos and squeezy cheese, obsessing over the half-time show, and the big budget ads.

And, in our opinion, Heinz has already won, thanks to its ‘Weiner Stampede’ ketchup ad, which features hundreds of sausage dogs dressed as hot dogs, running towards humans dressed as Heinz ketchup, and set to Harry Nilsson’s epic power ballad ‘Without You’.

Asked to explain the thinking behind their ad, Heinz says: ‘There comes a time in every wiener dog’s… Read the full story

A man who casually asked his wife what was on her mind might be regretting it after she drew him a detailed map.

Redditor bpwwhirl, who we can only hope is called Stephen (see bubble top right) posted the diagram two days ago with the comment: ‘Asked my wife to draw me a picture of what is on her mind. This is her response.’

The short answer? She’s got a LOT going on, from the practical – ‘house is dirty’ – to the random – ‘Disney Disney’, to the very random – ‘waffle poots’.

Teddy bears were harmed in the making of these videos (Picture: Twitter)

We don’t know if it’s some sort of tribute to the Revenant, but the year is 2016, and kids on the internet are skinning their giant teddy bears so they can dance around in them.

And while we don’t condone any sort of violence towards teddy bears, we do have to admit watching kids dancing in giant bear costumes is sort of addictive.

The trend is still in its infancy and appears to have started a couple of weeks ago in the US.

Over the weekend, it took off after big sister Bianca decided to put her little sis in her bear and… Read the full story

Leeds might not be as in your face as London or Manchester, but it regularly rates highly as one of the best places to live in the UK based on cost of living, happiness and employment.

Shopping in Leeds is quite simply off the scale. Our high streets and shopping malls are filled with a wide variety of some of the best retailers…and all are within metres of each other.

People are a bit worried about House of Fraser after the department store appeared to have a bit of a social media meltdown yesterday.

The brand launched its new #Emojinal social media campaign on Monday morning, but whatever the intended message, it was slightly lost in translation.

dug the dog from up

If you’re bored of puking rainbows and doodling moustaches on people on the train, don’t worry.

There’s no need to panic or move on to Peach. Snapchat still has loads of ways to entertain you.

Some genius Snapchatters have discovered that one of the app’s filters, if used correctly, is able to transform pet dogs into Dug from Up (H/T Buzzfeed).

Meaning your dog will become even cuter than usual, because their nose will be massive and you can caption the photo: ‘I was hiding under your porch because I love you.’

All you have to do is flip to the front-facing camera, then focus it on your dog – as if they were taking a selfie. Then hold down the screen… Read the full story

Pretty convincing to be honest (Picture: Bo Johnson/YouTube)

It’s the classic fallback plan for getting out of a sticky situation – two kids standing on top of each other, dressed in a trench coat, to look like one giant person.

And now two best mates have proved it can actually work in real life.

At the weekend, YouTuber Bo Johnson and his mate Matthew achieved their lifelong dream of sneaking into see a cinema dressed as one large man.

As the video shows, it took hours of painstaking preparation and basically involved Matthew wrapping himself around Bo’s waist, underneath a large shirt and a zip-up sweatshirt, giving the illusion of a man with… Read the full story

A man with prostate cancer has spoken out about his battle with the disease in a Facebook post which has quickly gone viral.

In the summer of 2014 Kurt Jewson, 44, noticed that he had blood in his urine.

After seeing his GP to get checked out, he was told it was ‘probably just an infection and would clear up’.

Just as GP had told him, the blood did clear up. But, while Kurt was relieved that there was no longer any signs of blood, unfortunately, this wasn’t a sign that there was nothing wrong.

Kurt was actually living with prostate cancer that while going undetected had spread quickly over a period of 12 months.

Kurt is currently awaiting radiotherapy with the possibility of chemotherapy and has decided to speak out about his illness to raise awareness in the hopes he might be able to save others who may be silently affected by prostate cancer.

Kurt, who… Read the full story

And so, the people of the internet have initiated their obsession with a new carby, sugar-filled delight.

Because that’s exactly what it is.

Meet fairy bread. It’s white bread, buttered and topped with sprinkles. That’s it. No baking. No deep-frying. Just bread and sugar.
