Since Leonardo DiCaprio finally won a (well deserved) Oscar, the internet has been going pretty nuts.

I mean, he’s missed out time and time again, and so his win came with a great big sigh of relief, probably from him, certainly from most of the internet.

But with his previous losses bringing the odds of his winning being brought lower, one woman decided to make a bet on Twitter.

The bet, however, didn’t involve money. Nope. Quite the opposite, actually. Marriage.

A woman tweeted to her followers that if Leo went… Read the full story

First things first: cats are awesome.

There’s no two ways about it, I don’t want to hear it.

It’s impossible not to love them. They’re just great. But as well as they being cute and fluffy, they’re also Grade A arseholes.

Because, with them being so self-sufficient, they’re also very selfishAnd I’m pretty sure that they often thrive off of winding you up.

Well, this cat does anyway. Burnie Burns, founder of Rooster Teeth, posted a video of his cat to Twitter. In the video, his cat can be seen meowing at the door.

Fair enough, perhaps he wants to come in. Or perhaps he just wants to be annoy his owner. Who knows?

What we do know is that the video contains strong language:

His video received a mixed reaction after others began questioning why his cat, Joe, was… Read the full story

Let’s enjoy the slightly awkward moment a man found out he was going to be a dad on a flight back from Vegas.

We should say, it was his wife Lisa Sadiwnyk, who was with him on the flight, who arranged for the pilot to make the announcement, so it was definitely good news.

But, Eric was left stunned for a few seconds after the pilot made an unscheduled announcement during the American Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Philadelphia.

‘I had a note handed to me and I’m going to read it verbatim,’ the pilot announces at the start of the clip which Lisa shared on Read the full story

The bad news: you’re about to have your happy sandwich memories ruined.

The good news, though? What lies ahead is pure, sandwich-y happiness. No more lies. No more disappointment. No more 11 inch sandwiches.

In case you missed it, Subway’s been involved in a major lawsuit over the last year or so, concerning the length of their sandwiches.

Why? Because their footlong sandwiches weren’t always a foot long.

We KNOW. It’s shocking. No longer can you happily reminisce about that time you enjoyed a footlong BMT in the park.… Read the full story

We’ve all seen it: perfectly filtered photos of smashed avocado on toast or those pepper sprinkled poached eggs that are most likely cold by the time the people hoping to eat them are finished taking the perfect photo for Instagram.

And yes, those of us who do opt for a quick bowl of cereal or at best a slice of buttered toast before heading off to work do tend to get a little annoyed.

A little at the fact that these people actually have time to make these beautiful breakfasts – but mainly because WE DON’T WANT TO SEE YOUR AVOCADO.

And one family, who have all seen many a breakfast snap, attempted it themselves. But as a family of four, it wasn’t going to be the easiest task – especially with two young kids who would probably prefer a bowl of Coco Pops over something fancy.

Dad of the family, Ktoś Na Przyczepkę, decided to capture the… Read the full story

But Gimo is just a little cat. There is nothing he can do to help you.

So instead Gimo just looks into your soul, with his massive, concerned eyes, and silently asks you if you’re sure whatever you’re about to do is the right decision.

But we are missing out on the true pleasure that munching on the good stuff can illicit.

It is inevitable (Picture: Getty)

Sometimes, you open your mouth and your mum’s voice comes out.

It’s inevitable – we all turn into our mothers eventually.

And, according to a Mother’s Day study by Interflora ahead of the big day this weekend (March 6, don’t forget), that generally happens around the age of 27.

Interflora talked to 1,500 sons and daughters about their relationship they have with their mums, looking at the (generally positive) influence they have on our lives.

Over half of us (53 per cent) believe we are already turning into our mothers, although 34 per cent of those see it as a positive thing.

And, according to those questioned, these are the telltale signs:

McDonald’s are really going hard on this whole ‘no, really, we’re fancy thing’.

First they announced table service and a snazzy new gourmet menu. We were startled. We didn’t know how to deal with the changes. But we slowly accepted it.

THEN they launched the Camembert burger, sadly not called the McCamemberger. It was too much. We were confused and hungry.

And now, they’ve reached new heights of fanciness.
