Sex is great, right?

It’s fun, it’s intimate, there’s loads of room for being creative. You can have it when you’re single. You can do it all the time when you’re coupled up.

And the great thing about sex is that even after years of having it, it doesn’t get boring. Unless you’re doing the exact same moves every time, in which case we ask: why?

It’s important to change things up.

We’d never be prescriptive when it comes to sex. What works for one person doesn’t work for another.

But what we would definitely recommend is trying things – even if it’s just the once.

How I got a tampon stuck and went to hospital after a hook-up with a guy

Alexia Lafata – Tampon

I didn’t panic at first. I’d only put the tampon in the night before, at around 9 pm. And I didn’t even have sex with the guy. All we did was fool around, so surely it only got pushed up inside me a little bit and I just had to do some minor excavating to get it out. No big deal.

With the bathroom door closed, I sat on the toilet and keeled over slightly. I spread my legs, stuck two fingers inside my vagina and wiggled them around to search for the string, thinking about how silly I was to assume for… Read the full story

#NoFaceTune is the newest Instagram craze and it’s a load of bulls***

Instagram Photo

Another week, another Instagram craze.

This time, people are using #NoFaceTune in order to celebrate their ‘natural beauty’ – but full faces of makeup and filters aren’t prohibited.

So basically, you can wear as much foundation, contour and eyeliner as you like to sculpt your face the way you like it – but god forbid you zap out a pimple, because that’ll leave you unable to join in on the hashtag.

And sure, the people joining in, showing off their perfected winged-eyeliner and immaculate highlighter, all look absolutely exceptional. But I’m not quite sure how in anyway it represents natural beauty. Isn’t the whole meaning behind ‘natural beauty’ to be er, well, natural? Or is that just me?

Also, how can it be okay for one person to cover their zits with makeup, but a blemish remover is totally not okay for a girl using makeup with less… Read the full story

St Patrick’s Day is here – the day on which we celebrate one of the most famous patron saints in the world.

We are all more than ready to wear green, drink Guinness and celebrate Ireland on the March 17 every year.

However, here are some things maybe you didn’t know about this popular holiday.

1. St Patrick wasn’t actually from Ireland

The patron saint of Ireland was not actually from the country itself – he was kidnapped when he was 16 and sold into… Read the full story

These beautiful and fascinating pictures offer a rare glimpse inside a high-profile Ultra Orthodox Jewish wedding.

The bride, covered in a full-face veil and wearing an elaborate lace and pearl embroidered dress, is pictured standing in the men’s section of the hall for part of the traditional ceremony, while the other female guests watch on from behind a floor-to-ceiling gauze curtain.

The wedding between the grandchildren of two very prominent members of the community, had a guest list of thousands, while many more lined the streets in the Israeli city of Netanya.

It’s hard work being Irish.

Well, not really. It’s actually a walk in the park, what with strangers regularly complimenting your accent and the whole world telling you what great fun you are.

But behind the stereotypical image of the always drinking, always happy and always drinking Irish person is a real human being with feelings.

And many of those feelings are anger at hearing people say the same old things every St Patrick’s Day.

It’s hard work being Irish after all.

Here are some of the things they hate hearing every March 17.

1. ‘What are you doing this St… Read the full story

We mostly just see St Patrick’s Day as an opportunity to consume our body weight in Guinness and dyed-green food, but there’s more to it than that.

It’s the celebration of the patron saint of Ireland and, by extension, a celebration of all things Irish.

Here we take a look at some of the most famous and influential Irish people – both historically and those who are alive today. Let’s raise a glass (of Guinness) to them.

Welcome to no. 299, Mudeford Sand Spit, Christchurch, Dorset. At £200,000, it’s admittedly quite expensive for a 9ft 8in x 14ft 7in beach hut, but the views are priceless.

The beach hut costs the same as the average three-bed property in Dorset, but has the advantage of sitting right on the beachfront, so you can enjoy panoramic sea views, looking out towards the Isle of Wight and Needle and across Christchurch Harbour.

St Patrick’s Day – Guinness chocolate cake recipe

St Patricks Day is here!

This gives us the perfect excuse to throw lashings of booze into all our desserts: whether it’s Baileys in brownies or whiskey in whoopee pies.

That said, I always end up going back to my favourite St Patricks Day recipe: Guinness Chocolate Cake.

Each slice is damp, dark and rich.

The Guinness adds a little spice and tastes delicious with the dark chocolate.

Thanks to its beery taste and dense, moist texture, you can enjoy this cake plain without needing to add anything extra.

However, if you prefer, you can slather on some cream cheese topping on the cake to mimic the head of a Guinness pint.

Happy St Patrick’s Day!

While for many it’s all about the Guinness there are many other options when you’re planning to raise a glass to the Emerald Isle.

Irish cream liqueur, whiskey, poitin, stout and, of course, the ever-popular gin are big favourites too.

So, whether you’re planning a big night or quietly toasting Ireland at home, you needn’t be restricted to the black stuff.

Here’s five St Patrick’s Day drinks that aren’t just a pint of Guinness.

The realities of motherhood (Picture: Yuliya Skorobogatova)

A new mum, asked by a friend why she was so tired ‘just watching over a baby’, has used her selfie stick to show him just how ridiculous that question is.

We need a lie down just looking at these pictures.

Photography student Yuliya Skorobogatova from Moscow is a mum to two girls and, while she acknowledges that her friend ‘is right in some ways – I don’t have to wake up early 5 times a week and rush to the other side of Moscow in a metro carriage packed like a box of sardines,’ she wanted people to understand the sheer all-encompassing nature of motherhood.

Still sculpting your cheekbones with artsy contouring techniques?

That’s so 2015.

The new hot trend is shaping your face in a more directional, bold way: sticking a fake face on top of your face.

We’re not talking a mask, or even features arranged in a human-like way. That would be boring. We are of course recommending that you take fake ears, eyes, noses, and lips and stick ’em all over… Read the full story

Prepare yourself for a sudden need to run home and wash/burn all the ratty leggings you’ve been wearing to the gym.

Because guess what? Your gymwear is probably a cesspit of grossness. And you really, really need to wash your entire kit more often.

Josh Zeichner, M.D., the director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, explained to Cosmopolitan that the leggings and yoga pants we wear to the gym are the perfect breeding ground for all kinds of bacteria and other nasty stuff – which could… Read the full story
