What would happen if wild animals took to the city?

Lithuanian artist Ceslovas Cesnakevicius‘ photo manipulations using two images imagine what it would be like if we shared our every day world with wild animals.

The whimsical black and white photographs were taken during Cesnakevicius travels in London and Amsterdam.

‘I saw the diversity of people of different cultures and nationalities, with all sorts of extravagant outfits and looks and yet people keep to themselves and don’t seem to notice,’ he says.

Makeup vlogger Lisa Eldridge met up with Adele’s makeup artist Michael Ashton after her viewers begged for a tutorial on Adele’s signature look.

Micheal admits that the key to his success for Adele is lashes and eyeliner and, we can’t deny, it is the most satisfying thing to watch him in action.

The video has bagged Lisa over 800,000 views, with her audience going crazy for the variety of techniques Michael used on his model Lottie Williams.

You can see the video here:

But, we couldn’t help but think it took quite a lot of makeup to achieve the look – and he was using top end, very expensive makeup. Which, let’s face it, isn’t possible for all of us.

As his video’s main focus was on the eyes, and he was quite specific with what he did to achieve the look, I decided to have a go at replicating it myself.

coffee main

When it comes to a comforting and delicious beverage coffee wins hands down. Soz tea lovers.

Deciding whether you belong to team tea or team coffee is not a decision to be undertaken lightly, and your allegiance to either steamy drink practically determines your whole life.

But it’s a well known fact that coffee with its strong aroma, comforting qualities and ability to satisfy you every time is the clear choice. Tea just can’t compete, and may as well give up now.

Here’s 15 reasons why coffee is better than tea.

1. Perks you up

Coffee can always be relied upon to act as the perfect pick me up in the morning.

It gets you alert, gives you a jolly good buzz, and goes very well with a pastry type treat.

Tea doesn’t pick you up, it offers no buzz, and results in just needing to wee a lot. Thanks for nothing.

2. Always perfect

Have you ever experienced a bad… Read the full story

Okay, maybe not the last one, but you get the idea.

User marleylovestrees took to Reddit yesterday to ask for the internet’s help. ‘My roommate’s girlfriend has over stayed her welcome, and I need advice!’ she cried.

She explained that she and her… Read the full story

‘I’m not good at talking to girls’,’ he wrote. He was not wrong.

He went on to explain: ‘I matched with this girl on Christmas and then I messed up by spelling “Christmas” wrong. I didn’t know what to do, so I panicked. I did what… Read the full story

The 11 best brunch spots in Brooklyn

0
0

New Yorkers live for mimosas (that’s a buck’s fizz, FYI) and brunch on the weekend, just like Brits live for Thursday-is-the-new-Friday, Saturday fry-ups and Sunday roasts.

If you’re in Manhattan, good luck to you. You’ll be dealing with a tsunami of tourists, hiked prices and attitudes that stink.

But, over the bridge in Brooklyn you’ll get a more authentic taste of New York life, and your pick of some pretty God damn amazing brunch spots, with less of the hassle and (fingers crossed) the price.

Places that I (or my friends) have ‘painstakingly’ tested first-hand. (I just drooled on myself thinking about them).

Here are 11 of the best places in Brooklyn to get brunch.

TIP: Turn up at opening time (normally around 10am) if you’re not fond of queuing for your food.

But depression is much more than that.

Here’s what to do if you think you might be depressed.

1. Test yourself

Use the NHS’s self-assessment test to help you analyse your situation and your symptoms. It’s completely confidential.

2. Make an appointment with your GP

Arielle Musa (side note, she has a really cute dog) met a guy called Endri on Tinder. He seemed totally normal, so they went on a date at a bar at Rutgers University, in New Jersey.

‘He seemed normal and trying to be respectful,’ Arielle told metro.co.uk. ‘Trying to compliment me, had normal conversation about ourselves.’

But Arielle didn’t end up feeling romantic towards Endri.

Scrabble Day 2016: 23 things anyone who has ever played Scrabble knows to be true

(Picture: Getty)

People say that Monopoly can tear families and friends apart, but what about Scrabble?

Because it’s all fun and games until someone pulls a 60 point word out of the bag…

1. There’s always one player who’s vocabulary far exceeds everyone else and they become the one everyone tries to compete with.

2. And there’s also always one player who consistently puts down words under 10 points, so everyone just lets them do their thing.

3. They’re usually the same player who has to get help towards the end of the game.

4. AND they’re usually the same player that sets things up for someone to hit the triple word score. AMATEUR MISTAKE. Well, unless you go after… Read the full story
