Until two years ago, Jade Thrasher had been going for 20 minute tanning sessions on the sunbed three times a week, for 11 years.

Then in 2014, she noticed a clear spot forming on her nose, which kept bursting and failing to heal.

The nurse from Nashville, Tennessee, was just 24-years-old when a string of biopsies revealed that the growth was actually skin cancer and she would need to have the cells cut away.

Surgeons did not know how much of her nose they would have to take off until the day of the procedure… Read the full story

Thanks for being our mates. (Picture: Getty)

So your friend’s told you that she or he is struggling with an anxiety disorder. What now?

First things first: it sucks for them. It really, really does. They’re tense, stressed, and will probably feel like they’re losing their minds on a daily basis.

The second most important thing: you don’t need to change everything. Don’t suddenly start treating them like they’re delicate flowers.

They’re not. They’re tough. And they’re the same friend you had before. They’re just struggling.

Here are some easy ways you can make things a little easier for them.

1. Text back

You don’t need to be texting non-stop, and it’s perfectly reasonable to not have a constant stream… Read the full story

Pictures of a group of lads celebrating a birthday trip in Montreal with a cardboard cut-out of their friend have been circulating the web ever since they were posted on Reddit yesterday.

The cut-out was of their friend Kevin, who was apparently unable to attend the trip due to his ‘crazy’ fiancee refusing to let him go.

But, it turns out he’d never actually received an invitation for said trip – and the cardboard cut-out was planned all along. Meaning therefore, his no-show actually had nothing to do with his fiancee – nor is she crazy.

Most of us probably think sleeping pills are there to help you sleep, not to make you spend a ton of money on stuff you don’t need, right?

Well. Their side effects definitely need investigating after one man almost managed to spend £3,000 on something ridiculous. And we say ‘almost’, because although he’d already sent payment over – he was lucky enough to stop it just before the transaction was finalised.

So, when said person was on sleeping pills, he thought he’d do a little internet shopping – at two in the morning.

No, he didn’t manage to dopily convince himself to buy a new phone or order a huge takeaway.

He ordered a yak.

Malena and Klepetan are two deeply in-love storks who are sticking together despite the sort of problems that may have caused other couples to split.

The couple met 15 years ago on a red rooftop in Brodski Varos, a small village in Croatia.

Although they’d love to be together 24/7, Klepetan migrates to the warm south at the end of August, and sadly, Malena has never been able to join, as an Italian hunter broke her wing 22 years ago, and she hasn’t flown since.

But, love conquers all, and Klepetan refuses to let Malena’s injured wing have any negative effect on the relationship. And, to prove his firm commitment and dedication to his love, he flies 13,000km (8077.8255 miles) every spring just so that they can reunite.

This makes total sense (Picture: Getty/Patrick Lenton)

Anyone who works in a customer service role, dealing with the general public every day, has our deepest sympathies.

Because we have all, at one time or another, taken our frustrations out on the person behind the desk/at the end of the phone, knowing very well it’s not their fault.

But, at least we weren’t this guy – the customer that was so frustrating, he forced a man to fake his own death (for at least half an hour).

Earlier this week, Patrick Lenton, 30, an author from Sydney, Australia, took to Twitter to tell the story about the time he was working at Sydney International… Read the full story

All the rage (Picture: Burger King)

Earlier this month, Burger King launched its Angriest Whopper, the burger for hangry people.

It features a flame-grilled beef patty, piled high with thick-cut bacon, American cheese, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, crispy onion petals, jalapeños, creamy mayonnaise and spicy angry special sauce – all layered between a blood red bun that has hot sauced baked in.

It promised serious heat. It promised to blow your socks off.

But some people don’t think the Angriest Whopper is angry enough.

And it’s making them angry.

Johnny Cyrus’ religion is Kylie Jenner.

He is arguably her biggest fan. Last month, he met Kylie in Orlando. He described it as the ‘best experience of my life’.

The 18-year-old from Wisconsin is also a huge supporter of her sellout Lip Kits.

Earlier this week, after meeting the lady herself IRL (scream!), the superfan honoured the famous Jenner pout by getting her lip kit swatches tattooed onto his forearm.

It’s standard practice for fans to paint swatches of the lip colours on their arms to post on Instagram after each new release.

Spot on. (Picture: Instagram/Celeste Barber)

Sure, WE looked at Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s Vogue cover shoot and thought: ‘yep, that’s EXACTLY what my weekends look like. So wanton.’

We’re always smooching while riding motorbikes, and performing casual acrobatics during our morning sex sesh.

But not all of us live this life. It’s sad, but it’s true. And for those of us who don’t greet the day with shirtless kissing on the balcony, Celeste Barber is here to represent.

For the last year, Celeste has been hilariously recreating photos of celebrities – their Instagrams, their Vogue covershoots, their oh-so-candid but incredibly posed shots. And the results are glorious.

This is huge, in every sense of the word.

This week, M&S launched the biggest avocado on the high street. It’s called the Carla avocado. It looks like a mango. It is not a mango.

The Carla is five times the size of an average avocado. She’s a beast.

According to M&S, ‘its size makes it perfect for sharing with family or friends or making a party sized salads or guacamole’. Sure, we’re totally going to share. We’re not planning to use it as an edible serving bowl at all. Nope.

Bikini shopping can be stressful enough (so many layers to remove, ridiculously hot changing rooms) without having to worry about being body-shamed by other women in the queue.

Twenty-four-year-old Jessica Portelli, from Brighton, was queuing up in Matalan recently to try on a bikini when another woman told her she was ‘too big to wear things like that’.

But, Jessica, who is a size 18-20, refused to be embarrassed by the woman’s unsolicited opinion.

‘When the woman said it to me I just responded straight away telling her girls like her shouldn’t be telling girls like me what they can wear,’ she said.… Read the full story

Your resting bitch face just got arty. (Picture: Sally Nixon)

What do women look like when they’re not being watched?

The answer: pretty much like the women in Sally Nixon’s illustrations – chilled out, enjoying their alone time, and in a permanent state of resting bitch face.

It’s not a side of women we often see in popular culture. We’re used to seeing women smiling, or being all sexy and pouty.

And that’s why we’re so obsessed with Sally’s work. It shows us. It shows the everyday moments we actually live.

Everyone seems to look at 90s through rose-tinted glasses – the decade that was the best time to grow up. But as we get swept away by nostalgia, we can easily forget some of the major problems we faced if we were born before the millennium.

Now that technology has come a long way, a lot of these problems would make absolutely no sense today – but they could ruin your day back then.

Beyoncé smiled on us today. (Picture: Ivy Park)

This morning the world was shaken to its very core.

The world was slayed, okay, you could say.

Because on this day, April 14, 2016, Beyoncé officially launched her Ivy Park athleisure collection (you can buy it on Topshop and Net-a-Porter, just FYI)

We woke up early. We stocked our online bags in a frenzy. We chose caps we didn’t need and sweatpants we had no intention of sweating in.

Then we reached the Topshop checkout. It didn’t work. And a meltdown ensued.
