When Rebecca Mountain’s friend Eliza moved into her new house with her partner Tiffany, she wanted to do something nice for them. 

Considering their new house was pretty large, and would also be called home for seven cats, Rebecca knew the best house-warming gift she could give was to turn the home into a cat lover’s dream.

Having seen photos of the new home posted on Facebook, she’d already thought up an incredible modification to make the home perfect both for Eliza, Tiffany, and their various four-legged friends.

When Jesse Ryan brought a tiny ginger kitten home to meet his grown-up cat, Evin – who pretty much looks like a larger double of the new arrival, Minnie – he was unaware of the bond his two cats were about to form. 

After one of the cats at the dairy farm Ryan works at had a litter, he just had to bring one home for Evin. And, as the cats at the dairy farm are all ginger, it was inevitable that the kittens would be too. Much to Evin’s delight, who’s also a ginger cat himself.

The pair hit it off straight away, and Evin knew there was only one thing he could do about his little doppelgänger – adopt him.

When looking for a place to stay, most people look on estate agent sites or at rental ads. 

Often, we’re totally let down by the fact the number one choice of place looks nothing like the dream house we saw in the photos.

Honestly, it happened to me. When searching for a new place to rent, I came across a lovely ‘two-bedroom flat’ in Brighton which was painted white, had laminate flooring and a lot of space. Oh, and it looked super clean.

When I turned up to view, however? I was welcomed by a downstairs neighbour who didn’t even know the place was up for grabs, so refused to let me in until ‘someone with authority’ told me it was okay to do so.

After an hour of waiting, I was taken up to the flat by an estate agent, to find a one bedroom studio with a tiny room with a toilet in it.

Peanut is a 16-year-old  Jacob sheep who has been dubbed a ‘ewenicorn’ after an accident with schoolchildren left him with just one horn. 

Children had been playing with Peanut when they accidentally tugged at one of her horns, resulting in it snapping off and leaving her with just one.

They had been on a school visit to Peanut’s farmyard when they asked farm-owner, 76-year-old Rocky Pearce, if they could help get Peanut back in her van at the end of the visit.

That’s the message of Women Speak’s new project, called #supersheroes. In their photo series, the project’s creators asked women who had left abusive relationships to share their stories – while dressed up as superheroes, to show just how strong they truly are.

Just a few weeks ago, poor pit bull Kobe was given to a Maryland shelter.

He was in bad shape. The kind of bad shape that showed he hadn’t been treated very well by his previous owners.

But now everything’s changed. Kobe’s been taken in by his new foster parents, Sean and Jade. They’ve showered him with plenty of love and affection, giving him plenty of treats and toys to show him that never has to worry about being mistreated again.
