So Instagrammable. (Picture: Instagram/alineperi)

We’ve had rainbow bagels, rainbow doughnuts, and rainbow pancakes. Are we even a tiny bit surprised to learn that rainbow sushi exists in the world?

Nah. Not at all.

But that won’t stop us from marveling at the beauty of rainbow sushi, wondering if it tastes as good as regular sushi or just like a bunch of food colouring, and one day attempting to make our own colourful rolls of rice and fish.

Because let’s be real. Of all the rainbow food, rainbow sushi might be the best.

Cheers! (Picture: Natalie Migliarini)

The rum negroni is a tasty twist on the classic negroni.

I once came home after work to make a classic negroni and realised I was out of gin so I decided to substitute Zacapa rum instead.

This drink is the perfect after work drink because it requires almost no preparation.

All you need is three ingredients including a dark rum, Campari, and sweet vermouth.

This combination is classic and easy to remember because it’s equal parts of all three spirits stirred with ice.

Simplify your happy hour or after work drink by making this twist on a boozy classic.

This recipe serves one.

Let me say, straight off the bat, that I regret the title of this article already.

You might actually know some of these.

That’s anxiety right there – negative core beliefs perpetuated by my own brain.

Fun, isn’t it? So here we go!

1. If you have anxiety it is common to have a fear of losing control of your bladder or bowel!

If mental illness wasn’t sexy enough, someone went and put uncontrollable bodily functions in there too. Yes, please!

The reason for this is that after… Read the full story

You can swap out white bread, rolls and baguettes for things like collard greens, Portobello mushrooms or nori.

We’ve all been there, smearing lipstick all over our faces when the bus or train slams the breaks on.

This blog is going to teach you how to be one of those people that get stared at on the train – the ones who didn’t have time to get ready in the morning so they have to do their makeup en route.

Don’t be ashamed – own it, and maybe give those onlookers a friendly little wave.

Again? Really?! (Picture: Getty)

How would you feel if nine times out of ten when you went out to eat you didn’t have a choice of what to eat?

You had to eat what you were told.
And it was one of the same three or four meals you were served every time.

Any vegetarian (that’s someone who doesn’t eat meat or fish) reading this will understand the disappointment of seeing everyone else in your group tucking into a roast dinner when you’re stuck with risotto again.

Of course things have improved for vegetarians and nearly every restaurant does have a veggie option.

This much-loved Cadbury’s classic is coming back on the market after 13 years

Cadbury’s Tiffin chocolate bar will be returning to stores next month after sales were stopped back in 2003.

The bar was first launched back in 1937 and is returning as a limited edition on June 1.

Cadbury’s stopped making the bar in 1972, before bringing it back again in 1985 until its 2003 axing – though they have always been available to buy in Ireland.

For those outside Ireland though, it may well have been a whole 13 years since we last tasted the bar – which comes filled with biscuit pieces, raisins, and all the childhood nostalgia you could ever wish for.

Oh, and it’s smothered in the classic Dairy Milk chocolate. Yum.

My relationship with food became more important than my relationship with people (Picture: Getty)

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week (May 16-22) and this year’s theme is relationships.

The annual event is organised by the Mental Health Foundation.

I have always been an introvert and found new relationships difficult.

Anorexia made me believe losing weight was the answer to everything.

The truth is that when consumed by the illness, the love/hate relationship with exercise and food became more important than maintaining relationships with people.

So, for Mental Health Awareness Week, I’m writing about how anorexia has affected the different relationships in my life.

I know it sounds horrific, but it is one of the best ways to get in shape, and this why.

An 84-year-old man and the love of his life, 82, have finally married after dating for 44 years.

Colin Dunn and Sally Smith first met in 1972 behind the bar of a social club Colin visited every weekend after work.

Colin, a retired lorry driver, recalled: ‘Sally used to serve me every weekend when I’d go in after work. We got chatting and she got used to me going in. Eventually, I asked her out.’

10 things you’ll experience every summer if you’re ginger

ginnnn

Oh hey there, summer. So we meet again.

When you’re ginger and of pale complexion, this season can be a pretty challenging time.

Like many of my people, I love the sun. But sadly, the feeling just isn’t mutual (cue baby violin).

Mr Sun has his magnifying glass and we gingers are the sweaty, helpless ants.

If you’re a fellow redhead, you too will experience these 10 things every summer:

1. Your friends will constantly compare their tan to yours

‘OMG, I’m so dark next to you’.

lkll

2. You’ll be the only one wearing a jacket

‘Yes, I’m aware it’s 32 degrees but I’ve grown quite fond of actually having skin.’

3. You’ll morph into one giant freckle

‘No, I don’t have dirt on my face.’

klkl

4. You’ll wear sunglasses just to protect yourself from your own blindingly pale skin

‘Oh lord, the world is just not ready for this.’

This incredibly unique proposal is also quite possibly one of the cutest

Would YOU say yes to this, ladies? One man’s unique (and rather nerdy) proposal sees him using an air-pressure capsule to deliver the ring to their table at 140km
(Picture: Facebook)

Okay, we all know the whole ‘ring in your food’ thing is pretty worn out when it comes to proposals (unless you like that sort of thing, of course).

But what if that food comes courtesy of a pneumatic tube, travelling at 87 miles an hour?

If you don’t know what a pneumatic tube is (and let’s face it, many of us don’t), it’s a system that sends small tube-like capsules through a compressed-air system. They were used in banks many years ago and… Read the full story

Kids will attempt to outsmart their parents with every attempt where presents are involved.

Take this little girl, Lily, for example, who desperately wanted to know what she had been bought as a surprise from her parents.

Of course, no parent is going to ruin their child’s surprise, so Lily was pretty much out of options when it came to finding out.I can

So, she did what any child would do and opted for one last resort. Forging a letter from her dad.

One Reddit user posted the letter online after it was shared with him by the dad himself

The letter reads:

Dear wife,

What did you get Lily for a surprise again. I forgot.

We don’t know what’s funnier, the obvious attempt at wording the letter correctly (hence the rubbed out words), or the fact she really thinks addressing her mother as ‘wife’ is going to get her… Read the full story

A gay student has spoken out about how he was turned away from an event at his former school because of his choice of clothing.

Angus McCormack was returning to his hometown of Bendigo, Victoria, for a weekend with his father, excited at the prospect of attending an event which was organised by his former high school, Girton Grammar, in light of the annual Foundation Day Service – a service which honoured the school’s 133rd year.

‘My father was just one of many members of the school board, and asked me to accompany him to the event,’ Angus said.

‘This is of course was very fitting given that I was not only a past student, but also the school captain of 2013.’

Before attending, the school had requested that Angus wear ‘appropriate attire’ for the event.

Though it didn’t comply with his usual style, Angus obliged to make sure everyone had a stress-free evening.

He opted for a white shirt, black jacket, bow tie and some… Read the full story

Remember Christine Jiaxin Lee

The girl whose bank accidentally increased her overdraft limit to £2.3 million? How could you not.

For four years, she was living the high life – spending an incredible £1.7 million in less than a year, with lots of the money going on designer handbags.

Of course, it all came crashing down when the bank noticed

But it turns out not all the money went on handbags. How do we know? Because the entire list of her spending was recently released by Federal Circuit Court.

Being single can be tough. Really tough.

And you know what makes it worse? You know what really reminds you of your unending loneliness and despair? Social events that require dates.

They are the worst, not just because they uphold the idea that you need to be in a relationship to have a good time. But also because they lead to things like this: a young man putting a cat in a dress and taking it to prom.

This is what you’ve made happen, society. Look at this cat’s face. Look at this guy’s smile of acceptance – acceptance of what his life has become.

Hmm. (Picture: Pizza Hut)

Beer and pizza. It’s a classic combo, whether you’ve just been dumped and need to eat and drink your feelings, you’re hanging out with friends, or you’re working the late shift.

So why wouldn’t you want to combine the two into one glorious mouthful? Why wouldn’t you want to drizzle your pizza with beer?

Not literally, obviously. That would be disgusting.

We’re talking about a pizza made with craft beer infused dough, which Pizza Hut just launched.

This week Pizza Hut unveiled two brand new pizzas made with craft beer infused dough. The only catch? They’re a limited edition menu item for one day only (Friday May 20th) at one restaurant only – the… Read the full story
