Trevor Macdonald is a 31-year-old dad who works from home. He, his husband, and their two children live on 14 acres of land just outside Winnipeg in Canada, along with their goats, chicken, a dog, and a cat.

Trevor was designated as female at birth. His gender is male, and in his early twenties he transitioned by taking testosterone and having chest surgery.

A few years later, Trevor and his partner decided they wanted to start a family. On the advice of his doctor he stopped taking testosterone and became pregnant.

“PLEASE JUST SLEEP!” (Picture: Getty)

Thanks to the Internet we have parenting tips available to us 24 hours a day.

While we might occasionally stumble across some helpful advice, much of it is either totally useless or appears to assume that parents are idiots.

One area in which there is an abundance of guidance from ‘experts’ is how to get a baby to sleep.

Here are a few pointless pieces of advice you may have come across during a sleep-deprived Google:

Sleep when the baby sleeps

This is all well and good IF YOUR BABY SLEEPS!

If she/he doesn’t, then your best option is ‘drink coffee while the baby doesn’t sleep’.

Dildo1

Reading a book on the tube is great, sure. But being the important-women-trying-to-have-it-all that we are, we’re in search of something a little more productive.

We’re multi-taskers, you know? We want our commute to tick off multiple things on our to-do lists.

Which is why we are obviously OVERJOYED by the creation of the dildo hoverboard. It’s a hoverboard (not one that actually hovers, just one of those annoying things on wheels) with a thrusting dildo attached.

Dildo4

So you can masturbate, get to work, AND take in your surroundings. So many accomplishments, and all before 9am. It’s the dream. The dildo dream.

The Dildo Hoverboard is, of course, the creation of Dildo Everything, the same people behind the dildo drone and the dildo selfie stick.

Again, it’s not actually available for purchase. And for that we are deeply sorry.

If you’re wanting to sell something, you’ve got to do exactly that – sell it.

Woman’s eBay listing for ‘piece of excrement’ Mini Cooper is refreshingly honest

Big it up. Tell people it’s the best thing since sliced bread and that it’ll change their lives for the better.

For most people, this is obvious. Of course, if it’s got a scratch here or there, that needs to be mentioned.

But hopefully, your pitch will be so good that the the odd negative thing won’t matter at all.

One person who totally doesn’t get the idea of a sales pitch is an eBay user who… Read the full story

Finishing your dissertation is an amazing feeling.

For some, it’s so amazing that they feel the moment should be documented forever.

Just like American grad-student Morris Vanegas, who recently finished his after months of hard work.

And, to commemorate his hard work, he decided it was only right to star in an awesome photoshoot, which saw him saying goodbye to his huge workload forever.

Entitling his photoshoot A Love Note To My Thesis, his photos were the perfect tribute to the time he’s spent working his ass off.

We all know there are lots of kids out there who are incredibly witty and smart.

One little girl was so smart, in fact, that she managed to trick her mother into telling her what her surprise birthday presents were.

Another child, however, has proved their comedic talents with a clever answer to their Sats exam question.

The child’s teacher, Damith Bandara, uploaded a photo of the test answer to the UK Education Crisis Facebook page. He wrote: ‘Now that Sats are over, one of my children wrote this on the grammar paper.

‘The question was to write the word ‘point’ as verb and noun. The answer you see is for the latter! An intelligent response I thought.’

The answer managed to give over 5,000 people a giggle – deservingly so.

There’s no doubt this kid is going places.

Obnoxious internet ‘prankster’ Brad Holmes and his girlfriend have posted yet another eye-wateringly asinine video to their YouTube channel in an attempt to grow their internet fame.

Brad, who is famous mainly for being cruel to his girlfriend and laughing like a brain-dead hyena as she suffers (suffers actually being debatable, as it looks increasingly like she’s in on it and is acting), has this time, apparently, put chilli on his girlfriend’s tampon and then planted it in the bathroom for her to use.

She then, according to the film – we’ll tell you what happens to save you the three minutes of your life you’ll never get back… Read the full story

Twenty-two years ago, now-27-year-old Chelsea Herline was too sick to enjoy the last day of her family holiday at Disney World.

But recently, and somewhat amazingly, she was able to redeem the same unused ticket that had been bought in 1994.

The ticket had been found by her father in a safe in the the basement of their family home in Michigan, as he was rummaging around in it in preparation for another another holiday – and it still had a photo of Chelsea as a toddler printed on it.

towel day

Brace yourselves. Social media is about to get towelly.

Renowned science fiction author Douglas Adams died fifteen years ago and 25 May is the day fans choose to remember him – by carrying a towel.

If you’ve already encountered The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, you’ll know why. If you haven’t, don’t worry – you’ll find an explanation in the list below. (But you should probably read more.)

In the meantime, here’s a list, aimed at old and new fans alike…

1. Douglas Adams enjoyed a distinguished and varied career, but The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, and its various follow-ups, are his masterwork – telling the story of Arthur Dent, a man who explores the universe in his dressing gown, accompanied by a travel writer, a two-headed former Galactic President, a sparky astrophysicist and a terminally depressed robot.

2. Adams was renowned for his love of numbers – particularly 42,… Read the full story

Would you pay for a vagina massage? (Picture: Getty)

Look, we know that if someone offered you a ‘vagina massage’ you’d most likely run far, far away or possibly slap them. It just sounds like a front for ‘oi, let me finger you’. It sounds dodgy.

But apparently vagina massages are a thing – and they’re more than just a sexual experience.

Women’s Health brought our attention to the existence of vagina massages – also known as yoni massage and tantric massage – this week, interviewing expert yoni massage practitioner Isis Phoenix.

Isis explained that her treatments cost upwards of $300 (£200), and involve… Read the full story

After a quite frankly embarrassing length of time, the fashion industry is finally taking steps to diversify the meaning of the word nude (because nude should not just be beige).

Leading the way is lingerie startup Naja. They’re selling nude bras and underwear in seven different shades of skin-matching nude, as part of a collection they’ve called Nude for All.

The underwear is available in three seamless styles, and Naja is also selling a bra with band sizes from 32 to 40 and cup sizes up to an E.

93-year-old Vicky Hazelgrove can barely walk and, due to having dementia, has very little short term memory.

Sadly, Vicky’s dementia also means she is often unaware of what is going on around her.

This is all now changing.

With the help of a weekly dance lesson from dance teacher Vanessa Marian, Vicky is slowly learning to get back on her feet.

The dance isn’t just enabling her to become more active. Using music from Vicky’s past, the lessons are helping to bring back memories that Vicky had previously forgotten.

After all the success of the Ladybird books for adults series (they make GREAT Secret Santa gifts, just FYI), it makes total sense that someone’s now created a grownup, hipster-tinged parody of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five series.

Which is exactly what’s happening.

A new series written by Bruno Vincent and published by Quercus Books brings the Famous Five into modern day, with titled such as Five Go Gluten Free, Five Go On A Strategy Away Day, and Five Go Parenting.

Our favourite bit is the cover of the gluten free one. Note the portable spiralizer.
