As someone who has an ‘invisible disability’ myself, and who therefore qualifies for a disabled blue badge, I can totally understand this mother’s frustration when she caught a stranger sneakily taking pictures of her own.

American writer Alethea Mshar was shopping at Target with her disabled son when she noticed a man taking pictures of her van.

Alethea, who is a runner, also has stickers on the window – which show that she had completed both a 25k and a 13.1k run. These stickers were also placed next to the blue badge itself – which Alethea feels caught the stranger’s attention.

The summer BBQ. It’s a British tradition – especially when it’s held before it’s properly summer, and people are lightly shivering as they chat about the lovely weather.

And because BBQs are so special to us, it’s totally understandable that we make a really, really big deal about celebrating each one to its full potential, food-wise.

We’ll take grilling duties much too seriously. We’ll buy more potato salad than should ever be consumed by a group of ten people. We’ll take pride… Read the full story

Modern life is full of frustrations but sometimes it is the little things that can really make your bloody boil.

Here are just a few:

1. When the dishwasher beeps to tell you that it has finished. Then it keeps on beeping and beeping and beeping until you finally relent and go and open it despite shouting, ‘ YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME DISHWASHER.’

2. Facebook invites. I am pretty sure that in the history of social media no one has ever accepted an invitation to play a game about a stupid FARMYARD.

3. When you get to the supermarket only to find you haven’t got a pound coin for the trolley.

4. Having to… Read the full story

There are good people in the world. (Picture:Facebook/Sara Melnicoff)

Sara Melnicoff was taking her dog, Carli, for a walk along Mill Creek in Utah when something terrible happened: Carli fell into the water and was swept away by the rapids.

Sara immediately started running along the creek desperately calling Carli’s name. She had just reached a point where she could jump in and was about to take off her shoes when a man appeared.

That man was Bobby L’Heureux. He immediately stripped off, made his way along the slippery rocks, and plunged into the water.

How do you give the perfect handjob?

Of course, that’s a rather broad question and there’s way more than one way to answer it.

But, it’s a question that a bunch of porn stars were asked to answer over on YouTube channel Wood Rocket – and they answered it in as much detail as possible.

Maybe Tina’s just misunderstood. (Picture: Photo-features.co.uk)

Tina is a terrapin with a bad attitude.

We don’t know why. Maybe she’s had a tough upbringing. Maybe she’s frustrated at the state of the world, and is using aggression to take down the power structure of the patriarchy. Maybe she’s just hungry.

We don’t know. What we do know is that Tina is so grumpy that she’s now being kicked out of her own home. Why? Because she keeps bullying the three crocodiles she was sharing a tank with.

Ah, Pot Noodle. The not-so-secret ingredient of every student’s cheap lifestyle.

Almost every student that is.

Because Bradley Phillips, a student at John Moores University in Liverpool, hates them.

Of course, you can’t expect every student to like the same thing, so it’s no big deal, right?

Or, it wouldn’t be – if he hadn’t won 350 of the damn things.

Bradley won them for ‘staying in student accommodation another year’ – even though he had no idea he was even entered in a competition, so it really did come as a surprise.

350 pots were delivered to the 19-year-old’s… Read the full story

Prepare to cry a little.

A Chinese photographer – who goes by the username ‘the childhood of Sekeke’ – has shared a series of truly heartbreaking photos of their 99-year-old grandfather before and after the death of his wife of sixty years.

The photographer’s grandfather had been married to his wife for 60 years before she passed away last year.

In the black and white photos, taken in 2012, the couple are shown enjoying married life, comfortably sitting together on the sofa,… Read the full story

Dreamy. (Picture: Paolo Pettigiani)

New York is one of the most iconic cities in the world. It’s where dreams are made of, according to Alicia Keys and Jay Z. It’s where people go to make it.

And it’s got some truly incredible architecture – skyscrapers that live up to their name, historical apartment blocks, the flat iron building.

But with all that beauty, there’s one teeny, tiny thing that’s a bit lacking: colour. It’s all a lot of grey. Not complaining. But it’s true.

Not so in these photos by Paolo Pettigiani.

Whoa. (Picture: Instagram/cinnamonsnail)

Doughnuts are proof that there is goodness in this cold, harsh world. They are magical. They are comfort is gently squishy, glazed form. They are everything.

So anyone who’s enough of a genius to take the humble, wonderful doughnut and make it better by adding more doughnuts is a true hero in our books.

Which is why we urge you to bow down to Cinnamon Snail and their glorious creation: THE INCEPTION DOUGHNUT (all caps emphasis ours, but entirely deserved).

WHAT ARE YOU? (Picture: Getty)

Remember last year when we finally, finally had an official answer to the ‘is a hot dog a sandwich?’ debate?

Well Merriam-Webster – you know, the dictionary people – has just torn that ruling to shreds, causing mass internet frenzy and rage in the process.

To recap, in November the America’s National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (yes, it’s a real thing) decreed that a hot dog is NOT a sandwich.

They declared that the hot dog is just too important to be slotted into the greater sandwich category.

Head to the forest and get away from it all. (Picture: Getty)

We’re all stressed out. We all need to get away from our desks, get outside, and take some proper time off (meaning actually going out and doing relaxing things, not just staying in bed and marathon-watching Netflix shows).

But we’re also skint. Which doesn’t exactly help with our plans to run away and backpack across America, or pop over to that fancy French spa we’ve been fantasising about.

The obvious answer? Going on a microadventure.

Would you pay £11.99 every two weeks for work-week breakfasts? (Picture: The Cereal Club)

You’ve heard it a million times: breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Which is an idea we quietly push to the back of our minds every time we nibble on a cereal bar or pick up an overpriced muffin from Starbucks.

Sure, we’d like to sit down in our kitchens and have a proper meal before we leave the house, but we just can’t quite be bothered. And our healthy bowl of porridge doesn’t quite leave us inspired.

But we’re not entirely sure if that means we’ll resort to this option. The Cereal… Read the full story

This is why you’re so obsessed with G&Ts (Picture: metro.co.uk)

Ahhh. The first sip of a G&T after a hard day. It’s right up there on the list of most satisfying, refreshing feelings in the world.

Because gin is wonderful. That much we know. And tonic water is, erm, well, a bit gross on its own, to be honest.

So why is it that gin plus tonic magically combine to make the most glorious go-to drink around? What gives the simple G&T its power?

Turns out there’s a scientific reason behind gin and tonics tasting so damn good: it’s all down to each part’s chemistry.

Not all Instagram-famous animals have to be teeny-tiny.

Sure, mini pigs are cute. We’ll always be up for looking at a cute pug puppy. Baby bunnies are too much for us to handle.

But these two giant Newfoundlands are just as lovable.

Festivals are the perfect time to try out something new. (Picture: Instagram/dominiqueldr)

Festival season is officially here.

In between selecting your wellies and digging around your shed for a tent, it’s also time to try out some of 2016’s most on point hair and beauty trends.

Because let’s be real. Festivals are the only time you’re actually going to shove a load of glitter on your face.

Use this time as a chance to try something weird and new. Because while you might get some odd looks for doing a unicorn braid at the office, pretty much anything goes at a festival (apart from culturally appropriative nonsense. Please don’t do that).

Here are… Read the full story
