BAN THIS. (Picture: Facebook/Jamila Rizvi)

That’s it. Pack up your things, retreat into your home, and never venture out to a café or restaurant ever again.

Your house – with your kettle and tetley tea bags – is the only safe place now. The only sanctuary from a world of rainbow food, meals served on shovels, and, worst of all, deconstructed coffee.

Writer, presenter, and commentator Jamila Rizvi shared the news of the true end of times on her Facebook, with a photo of the coffee she was served at a café in Melbourne.

This coffee was not given to Jamila in a mug. It was not even served to her in a mason jar.… Read the full story

Well, if you don’t ask, you don’t get.

We’ve all poured over pictures of our favourite celebrities wearing dream gowns on the red carpet at the Oscars and the Golden Globes and wished we could borrow from their designer wardrobes.

But, we mere mortals have to settle for Topshop and M&S instead of Tom Ford and Marchesa.

Well, we thought we did. But that’s until we heard about New York teenager Jessica Casanova.

Back in January, Jessica sent this wistful tweet to Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez.

During the teenage years it’s common to believe your mum has been put on earth simply to stop you from having fun.

Fast forward a few years and you realise she was only ever trying to keep you safe and well.

Her wisdom becomes invaluable as you grow and her love is never ending. Romances and friends come and go but your mother stays by your side through thick and thin, no matter how obnoxious you have been.

Bonds don’t come any stronger than this and so often, the woman you once called mummy, you now call your best friend.

Here are 17 things you’ll know if you and your ma are best buds…

Drop everything. The drunk eating game just changed forever.

Sydney’s Tella Balls dessert bar – a café dedicated to all things Nutella, and the same people behind the glorious Tella Ball freakshake – has just debuted what they claim is the world’s first ever Nutella kebab.

The Tellabab has a doughnut in place of a pitta bread, wrapped around milk and white chocolate shavings, strawberries, banana, whipped cream, and a load of Nutella.

It’s glorious, and proof that heaven is a place on earth. A place called Tella Balls, where we can eat these at all hours of the day.

If you haven’t heard of Jack Wills, you clearly haven’t spent a lot of time in middle class suburbia.

Their trackie bottoms and hoodies are the unofficial uniform of preppy teens with implausibly volumised hair across middle England. You can’t move for the stuff on the high streets of Surrey.

But, today, the British fashion brand was rapped by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for targeting a young teenage audience with ‘sexualised images and text’ in its latest ad campaign.

The ads, which were were sent out as a direct mailing in February as part of… Read the full story

Snow White has never looked so poignant.

With nine stitch marks over where her right breast used to be, she poses in defiance with her left hand flashing the V for Victory sign.

These 13 Disney princesses and cartoon characters had their fairy tales rewritten by artist Alexsandro Palombo to show them as breast cancer survivors.

With mastectomy scars bared, these powerful images have been re-released ahead of Cancer Survivor’s Day on June 5 to raise awareness of the disease and support those who have survived. The pictures also highlight the importance of early diagnosis.

overeating

We know, we could just develop some will power and stop eating. But, somehow, when faced with a giant juicy burger and cheesy fries, all thoughts of moderation go out the window.

If you quite often find yourself having to undo your top button discreetly at your desk after misjudging your portion sizes or with chronic nighttime indigestion caused by your inability to say no to carbs, then this simple trick might be the answer.

We say might. Let’s be honest, there are days when the only answer is to give into your urges and bury your head in a pesto pasta mountain.

Sorry

But, if you are looking to cut back, in a Q&A on Quora about top life hacks, Brandon Nguyen, founder of healthy living blog ChillPill, offered this useful little nugget:

‘One simple way to eat more deliberately and slowly is to force yourself to… Read the full story

Normal carnivals are great, but ones in the Seychelles are better.

The African nation is already synonymous with honeymoons, and famously hosted Prince William and Kate Middleton for theirs.

But after sampling the Seychelles’ version of a carnival – Carnaval International de Victoria – I think you may want to head there for a party with your friends instead.

McDonald’s is giving away an 18-karat gold chicken nugget as part of a new marketing campaign.

The nugget, worth £1,000, has been hidden inside a random box of six Chicken McNuggets.

Yes, Ronald’s come over all Willy Wonka.

But here’s the catch (you knew there’d be a catch, didn’t you?) – you’ll need to travel to Japan to get your hands on the gold. Because, of course, this is only happening in Japan.

The golden nugget is being offered as part of McDonald’s Japan’s promotion of its new limited edition chicken nugget dipping sauces – in Fruit Curry and Creamy Cheese. Err, yum?

But printing a photo of of your nostrils on a mug and sending it to him in the mail? That’s a new one.

That’s exactly what Meg Dooley, a teen from Crewe, did.

Toddlers can be so cute (Picture: Getty)

Nothing can prepare you for the whirlwind of emotions and energy a toddler brings into your life.

My 16-month-old has more energy than a six-year-old after a Haribo binge. And life is more complicated than you’d think with such a small family member.

Here’s my A-Z of life with a toddler:

A is for adorable
It melts my heart when my toddler puts his arms up for a cuddle saying “up up” or snuggles up with his toy owl.

B is for baby
Their newfound speech and mobility give toddlers a feeling of superiority over those smaller than them. Anyone smaller, more stationary or balder than them results in a cry of “baaaaaby”, followed by a… Read the full story

One new-mother was left feeling incredibly overwhelmed after one stranger’s act of kindness.

22-year-old Briar Lusia Mcqueen was out in a local cafe when her eight-week-old son Jaxon started crying because he was hungry.

As Jaxon is breast-fed, Lusia, who is from Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, prepared for stares and even comments from other customers – but what happened instead gave her restored faith in humanity.

‘Just wanted to share this really sweet moment I had this morning,’ Briar wrote in a Facebook post that was liked by over 140,000 people.

In case you somehow managed to miss this very important bit of news, we’ve just ended Masturbation Month – a month-long celebration of wanking that occurs every May. Hooray!

It was a glorious occasion. We talked about vibrators. We learned how to have better orgasms. Masturbation was discussed in offices and over family dinners (just me? Oh).

But how did Masturbation Month impact actual, well, masturbation?

Turns out it actually had quite an effect on people’s jerking off habits. People love sticking to a theme.

I’m the eldest of four.

I do have one sister who is only younger than me by three years – but the other two are both more than 10 years younger than me.

This is both a blessing and a curse. For example, I get to sit and colour in with them all day and pretend I’m five years old once more – but it also means I’m a cheap babysitter.

Here are 10 things you’ll only know if you have really young siblings.

1. You have the chance to re-live your childhood

Welcome to 2016. (Picture: Jordan180/Reddit)

It’s happened. Our wrongdoings have caught up to us. When they look back at 2016, all that will be left to represent our lives will be selfies and Snapchat filters.

Yep. The city of Sugar Land, Texas has erected a statue showing two women (who may or may not be basic b*tches) taking a selfie.

The statue is actually part of a 10-part series, donated by Sugar Land resident Sandy Levin. The other statues do not appear to be selfie-themed, and the other one that’s been put into place shows a man playing a guitar.

As you’d expect, people are not impressed with the selfie statue. They… Read the full story

Portable microwave will change your sad desk lunch forever
This changes everything. (Picture: Wayv)

You’ve made a week’s worth of soup in bulk. You’ve actually remembered to bring a portion of soup to work. You’re feeling smug.

Then you see it. You see that the microwave has been in constant use from 11 ’til 12. You can’t find a moment to slip your lunch in. It gets to 2pm. You are so hungry you might cry.

Finally, the microwave is free. You dive towards it, only to notice that it reeks of fish. You give up, defeated, and go buy an egg and cress from Pret.

*Sigh*.

This new invention could ensure that NEVER happens again.
