And so, our obsession with taking delicious food to its disgraceful extreme continues.

Presenting the double cheeseburger pie. Created by Australian chain Pie Face, the double cheeseburger pie is, as the name suggests, pretty much what would happen if a double cheeseburger and a pie had a baby.

It’s made up of two beef patties sandwiched with cheese, pickles, onions, relish, and mustard, encased in a pastry crust topped with sesame seeds.

Which sounds delicious, sure. But at this point we have to ask the big questions. Is a humble cheeseburger no longer enough? Must a pie be tainted with another equally delicious thing?

Every coffee fan has their own little recommendations for making the best cup of coffee.

Seriously. You think the milk first or last debate is heavy? Try asking a bunch of coffee-drinkers their opinions on beans and filters. It’ll get heated.

But there are some little tricks that all coffee-lovers can get behind – mostly because they’re easy, and make coffee just taste better, no matter how you make it. This is one of them.

According to the New York Times, we should all be keeping our coffee beans in the freezer.

Today is International Yoga Day 2016, a time to celebrate twisting, stretching and easing our bodies into an array of poses.

International Yoga Day: 19 reasons NOT to do yoga

And what better way to celebrate yoga day than with a pose.

One pose that is trickier than it looks is the Supta Baddha Konasana (aka butterfly) pose, where practitioners lie back with their feet together and their knees bent.

The move, also called the reclining bound angle pose, is excellent for blood circulation around the pelvis, abdomen and back areas and is said by some yoga teachers to benefit those with uterine disorders – as well as boosting fertility.

Good news for any wine-drinkers who are getting bored of the eternal choice of red or white (and can’t be bothered with rosé): there’s a new wine in town.

A Spanish startup, Gik, has just unveiled the first ever blue wine. Yep, you read that correctly. Blue wine.

They’re hoping it will be the next big thing among alcohol-loving millennials who want their drinks to be Instagrammable, not just tasty.

Gik created their wine with the help of the University of the Basque Country and Azti Tecnecalia (a food research team). they make it by using both red and white grapes sourced from vineyards spread around… Read the full story

11 reasons you’re already over summer

spring 1

Go home summer we’re bored of you already.

Sure the promise of warmer weather, pastels and being able to pop to Tesco without a coat seemed promising, but then in true British weather style it didn’t deliver any of the above.

We’re sick of the bad weather, the suspicious rise in allergies and blisters from our expensive new sandals.

Can it just be autumn already please?

1. False promises

False promises are really not cool. We’re okay with little ones like when someone says they’ll meet you at 1pm for a Bloody Mary and then they meet you at 2pm.

But what we can never be okay with is the weather person promising us sunshine and 20 degrees on Tuesday, then waking up Tuesday morning to a torrential downpour.

2. Blisters

Oh hey brand new expensive summery sandals that cost me a week’s worth of salary.

Thanks for shredding my poor little toes, and giving me the most enormous, red and angry… Read the full story

The Stone Roses played at the Etihad stadium in Manchester last week and it was epic.

As a life long fan, it was emotional to see a band who were so important to me when I was getting into music and even better to share it with my husband, friends and 15-year-old son.

But, yet again, disability ignorance struck when I needed to use the toilet with my ostomy bag.

An ostomy bag is a medical device worn to collect waste from the body through a stoma, which is part of the intestine showing through a surgical hole in… Read the full story

Want to know the secret to being a productive, functioning adult? It’s naps. Naps all day, every day.

At least, that’s what we’re telling ourselves. Napping helps you do things. Napping restores your emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing. It doesn’t count as procrastinating or relaxing because it’s good for you, right?

We have some bad news.

A new study has found that taking long naps isn’t quite the health-helper we thought it was. In fact, if you’re napping for too long, you could actually be doing some serious damage to your health.

Parents receive note from ‘techer’ whose writing is very similar to their son’s

Do you think kids forget that their handwriting is very distinctively, er, kid-like?

It looks as though young Collin has, anyway. Unless his teacher seriously signs off her letters with ‘I am the techer!!’

Collin’s parents received a very suspicious letter from ‘Mrs Teague’, informing them there would be no school for the entire week.

She also very nicely suggested that Collin could stay home and play video games. Isn’t that thoughtful?

We’re not sure whether it’s the style of handwriting, the misspelling, or the generosity of the ‘techer’ that makes this note rather non-believable, but there’s just something a little fishy about it.

It’s a good job his parents didn’t fall for it.

Good try though, Collin.

Stunning. (Picture: Instagram/littlestdove)

It’s been a week since the Orlando shooting caused the death of 49 people. The world is still very much in a period of shock and mourning.

But it’s when times get dark that people make the most powerful gestures to remind us that there’s still some good in the world.

Hundreds of people have headed out to their local tattoo shops to permanently ink themselves in honour of the Orlando victims – and to show everyone, once and for all, that love wins.

Many tattoo artists are offering discounts on pride and Pulse related tattoos, or donating their proceeds to LGBTQ* charities. Which is wonderful.

The dream. (Picture: Etsy/tinkercast)

Let’s just be honest. No matter how old we get, we’re always going to want to dive into the sea and live as mermaids. It’s the dream.

The only slight downside to our plan, other than the slim chance that it might not actually happen? The fact that once we become mermaids, we’ll have to give up our ability to walk on dry land.

Sad times.

If all the swimming and underwater singing don’t quite justify that sacrifice, there’s an alternative solution. Etsy-er tinkercast has made some snazzy tights that let you be more mermaid-y and still maintain your human legs. HOORAY.

Magical. (Picture: Disney)

Disney films gave us unrealistic expectations about a LOT of things. Hair and makeup, for example. Romantic relationships. Our ability to befriend woodland animals.

And of course, the amount of maintenance required to keep a damn flower alive.

Seriously, think of all the times princesses casually stuck flowers in their hair or popped a bunch in a vase. It’s not that easy. Our flowers seem to wilt the moment we touch them. Is that a metaphor?

And the worst offender of all is, of course, the Enchanted Rose from Beauty and the Beast.

Mum falls so hard for daughter's epic filter prank
(Picture: Rebecca Wyn Owen / Facebook)

Is your mum tech-savvy?

Or is she the sort to sign off every text with ‘Love, mum’ despite knowing you saved her name and number years ago?

One woman who’s heading more toward the latter, it seems, is Rebecca Wyn Owen’s mum, who hasn’t quite grasped the concept of filters just yet.

When Rebecca sent her a mum a video of herself using a filter with gave her a square shaped face, her mum grew seriously concerned.

Worrying that Rebecca may have had a bad reaction to something she had eaten, she pleaded with her to go to the hospital
