If there’s one thing that soothes our souls and brings us inner piece, it’s carbs.

Carbs of all kinds (apart from cupcakes that look like pimples, but we’re just going to pretend those don’t exist). Pasta. Pizza. Potatoes.

So this Instagram – this magical Instagram where one chef shares videos of herself making fresh pasta – speaks to us on a deep and profound level. These videos make us feel whole again. These videos are everything.

One woman has responded to Playboy model Dani Mathers’ degrading Snapchat of a woman at the gym in a seriously inspiring way.

Mathers captioned her photo of the unnamed woman she’d secretly photographed ‘If I can’t unsee this, then you can’t either’ and posted it on social media where it attracted thousands of critical comments.

Conservative writer Milo Yiannopoulos has been permanently banned from Twitter in the wake of racist abuse directed at Ghostbusters actor Leslie Jones.

Earlier this week, Jones accused Yiannopoulos of inciting the abusive messages and said the social media platform wasn’t doing enough to stop it.

It’s hot, we all woefully unprepared for the arrival of proper summer, and we are currently miserable.

The cause for our distress? Well, other than bedsheets, dehydration, and actually having to go to work when we could be eating ice cream, it’s all down to our damn thighs.

We love our thighs usually. They’re great. They provide adequate cushioning for all the sitting we do.

But in the summer, when they are freed from their daily cages of denim and tights, they are the source of much pain and dismay.

Remember as a teenager when you told your parents you were going to a ‘sleepover’? It was really code for getting drunk in a field at a ‘camp-out’ that ended up being one tent for a group of people who had no idea how to put a tent up.

When Max Burnett told his seven-year-old daughter Matilda he was taking her to see the new Ghostbusters film at the weekend, she insisted on being properly dressed for the occasion.

She set about creating her own Ghostbusters uniform, complete with mini proton pack and sparkly flip flops.

She said she wanted to dress like the female stars of the film because ‘they look cool’.

It’s not the way most of us would choose to bond with our friends and reconnect with our exes. But hey. It works.

When photographer Tasha Tylee was asked to create a project for a group exhibition called ‘The Breakup Party’, she instantly came up with the perfect idea: getting her friends and lovers to cry in a bathroom.

‘The idea was a multimedia exhibition located in my friend’s house and our work had to revolve around the themes of love and loss,’ Tasha told metro.co.uk.
