#ZooKeeperProblems.

After watching hundreds of people wandering round the zoo, glued to their phones as they tried to find cartoon creatures, one zookeeper gave up and decided to create Pokemon Go cards for the real animals in her care.

You know, in the hope that people might look up and see there were actual real life animals all around them.

The anonymous zookeeper, who works at Birmingham Zoo in Birmingham, Alabama, shared pictures of her mocked-up posters on her Keeper of the Zoo Tumblr page, writing ‘Decided to jump on the Pokémon Go hype train at the zoo! Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em…’

Today in first world problems, everyone’s losing their shit because Starbucks can’t deliver the drinks people need to fulfill their very specific caffeinated needs.

It’s sad, because we can’t complain about this very serious problem without sounding like spoiled brats. But it’s a real issue. People can’t handle it.

Starbucks keeps running out of coconut milk.

We KNOW. It’s awful.

What are we supposed to do? Drink regular milk, like fools? Resort to soya milk in our pursuit of dairy-free drinking? This is unacceptable.

We all love to Instagram our coffee right? (Picture: Starbucks/Instagram)

We have a certain admiration for Starbucks baristas and the many passive-aggressive ways they find to troll us.

After all, it can’t be that much fun having lines of grey commuters barking ridiculously complicated coffee orders at you all day, every day.

And then there’s the groups of teenagers who come in and order about 3,478 fraps at once.

So we can certainly forgive them the odd spelling ‘mistake’ with our names (sure, Virgin sounds a lot like Rosie) and the occasional bit of sass.

14 dating traditions from around the world that make Brits look bad

Apparently, Brits are crap at dating.

It’s not because we’re more committed in relationships and therefore less likely to date multiple people. And it’s not just that we’re almost totally reliant on apps and the internet to find a partner.

A survey by OnePoll found that 14% of Brits haven’t even been on a first date. Ever.

So maybe it’s not too surprising then that 43% of the population have never approached a stranger they found attractive.

So this all begs the questions: what are other nations doing that we’re not?

Love yourself. (Picture: Instagram/fredandfar)

Engagement rings are a glorious thing. They’re sparkly. They make your hand look ten times more elegant. They’re guaranteed to get you loads of Instagram likes.

The only downside? Getting your hands on one (and one on your hand) requires actually finding someone you can put up with. Which sounds like a load of faff we’re not entirely ready for.

So we’re very happy to hear about a new trend for anti-engagement rings.

Anti-engagement rings are essentially the same engagement rings you’re used to, except a little smaller, so you can wear them on your little finger.

Oh, and you buy one for yourself.

For students and teachers alike, this has to be the best time of year – the summer holidays are finally here.

Six or seven weeks now stretch out ahead of kids, brimming with opportunity of entertainment, trips away and summery shenanigans. But while many pupils assume that the lives of teachers begin and end with school, marking, planning and plying them with homework, educators are just as thrilled at the end of term.

Here are the thoughts that go through their heads on that beautiful last day before school is out for summer:

A humble Morrisons pork pie has just been named Britain’s best pie at the prestigious Supermeat Awards 2016.

*Wonders how you get an invite to the Supermeat Awards*.

Morrisons’ Caramelised Onion Lattice Pork Pie, which you can pick up at the deli for a bargain £1.50, was judged to be the best by a panel of Michelin starred chefs, master butchers and industry experts (the awards keep the names of their judges secret so they can carry out stealth judging missions, so we’ll have to take their word for it on the Michelin starred bit).

This might be why your alarm goes off every 9 minutes when you hit snooze

(Picture: Getty)

Hardly anyone in the world can get up when their alarm first goes off. But have you ever noticed how long you’re given after hitting the snooze button before it goes off again?

Apple alarms and lots of other digital clocks give you nine minutes in between each snooze.

But nine is such a random number. Why not 10?

giphy

Alarm clocks are ancient. They’ve been around before Plato – who is said to have had a large water clock with a water organ alarm device.

But it wasn’t until 1956 when the snooze button came into existence. General Electric-Telechron came out with their Model 7H241 ‘Snooze-Alarm’, which… Read the full story

There's now a perfume to make you smell like Pokemon Go
We kind of want this. (Picture: fragrance.com)

What does a Pokémon smell like?

It’s one of the great questions facing the world. Kind of. Actually, it’s really not something we’ve considered.

But one company has dared to find an answer. And that answer is, well, not what we were expecting, to be honest.

Yup. There’s now a Pokémon Eau De Toilette, and it smells just like real Pokémon. Meaning vanilla, orange blossom, and musk. Right then.

It’s a unisex fragrance designed for daytime, so it’s perfect for keeping yourself fresh while you’re running around and trying to track down that bloody Jigglypuff.

This is why baby bumps don’t immediately go away after you give birth

If you needed a reason that the pressure to ‘get back’ your pre-pregnancy body after having a baby is a very bad thing, look to science.

It’s not at all realistic to expect that a woman will have flat, toned abs a week after giving birth. Not just because of all the skin-stretching involved, but also because there’s some pretty big stuff happening in that area – stuff that doesn’t just snap back to its pre-baby form immediately after giving birth.

But you’d be forgiven if you were a little confused about the whole thing. Every other week we see a celeb debuting their incredible ‘post-baby body’.

And we hardly ever talk about the post-baby baby bump.

Construction worker Jason Haney is currently working on a build opposite the Memorial Children’s Hospital in South Bend, Indiana.

Realising a lot of the children were too sick to go outside and that the only view out of their hospital room window was a building site, the dad decided he wanted to do something to brighten their day.

So, he roped in his daughter to help him make an 8ft Where’s Wally cutout.

What happened when I went on a Pokemon Go first date (Picture: Nixalina)

Pokemon Go has whipped the world into a frenzy, and is being praised for getting people out and about on the streets. But I wondered if it could go further than that – could it bring two people together?

Could it be the kind of activity that helps potential lovers unite under their attempts of catching a Zubat? There is only one way to find out.

That’s why I decided to create The PokeDate.

The PokeDate aim was to find a guy I’ve never dated before (or met) and try to get to know each other whilst also playing Pokemon Go.

It’s not just about catching an… Read the full story

How can you not love this face? (Picture: Getty)

Everyone thinks their dog is the best dog in the world, which is as it should be.

But, objectively speaking, cockapoos (a cocker spaniel/poodle cross ) are clearly actually the best.

Alright, I’m not objective at all. Our family cockapoo is a magical princess creature that brings happiness wherever she goes.

But, putting my own bias aside (sort of), here are the 19 reasons cockapoos are the best dog breed in the world.

1. They’re hypoallergenic

Like poodles, they don’t shed and they don’t trigger allergies.

So even if you’re allergic to dogs, you can still give a cockapoo a… Read the full story

I know that as people living with near-constant grey skies and rain, we tend to get very excited about the arrival of summer.

It’s all very exciting, isn’t it?

What could possibly go wrong? (Picture: Tristan Cooper/Dorkly)

Did no one learn the lessons of Boaty McBoatface?

Don’t put your faith in the Internet. They will let you down and then tell everyone about it on Twitter.

So, perhaps McDonald’s New Zealand should have thought this through a little more. Although, to be fair to them, similar schemes have gone off without a hitch in other countries.

In honour of their new in-store Create Your Taste touch screens, Maccy’s decided to run an online contest where they let New Zealanders build and then name their own burgers. People could then save them on the McDonald’s NZ front page for people to vote on… Read the full story

Who really watches the in flight safety videos on board planes? Apart from those who are scared of flying, literally no one.

Yes, they might save our lives but they’re always so unutterably boring.

One airline however, has produced the most epic safety video which no doubt will keep people from flicking through their chick-lits until the end of the announcement.

Superdrug’s Online Doctor has found that ‘ideally’, men sleep with no more than 15 partners, while for women, it’s 14.

They surveyed over 2,000 people in the US and Europe to gauge their attitudes towards numbers of sexual partners – including who lied more about them, promiscuity and STIs.

For the vast majority of people, the idea of having the nudes and sexts you sent someone plastered all over the internet would be unimaginably horrid.

Molly Soda, cyber artist and Tumblr Queen, has created a digital zine entitled ‘Should I Send This?‘, which includes lots of boobs, bums and tums – as well as snippets of previously unseen text that were previously lying dormant on her phone.
