Can you spot the dog hiding in these photos? Picture: imgur/seeyourgypsy
Well, can you? (Picture: Imgur/seeyourgypsy)

We’re not sure we’ll ever get tired of frustratingly good optical illusions. Especially when there are dogs involved.

Redditor seeyourgypsy is the latest person to both annoy and delight us with a set of ‘can you see this well-hidden thing’ style photos, sharing a set of pictures of his father-in-law’s dog sneaking around in a cabin.

In some pictures the dog is harder to spot than in others, but we promise, she is actually in every single photo. It just might take you a while to see her. She’s got great skills when it comes to going undercover.

Lulla Doll - taken from Facebook
We know, it looks weird, but mums swear by them (Picture: Lulla Doll/Facebook)

We totally get it. When you’ve been deprived of sleep for days, weeks, probably months, you’re probably prepared to throw any amount of money at the problem.

Which is why some parents are willing to spend up to £200 on a doll that sounds a little like Darth Vader.

The Lulla doll was developed by Icelandic mum and psychologist Eyrún Eggertsdóttir, following extensive research on co-sleeping. It plays heartbeat and breathing sounds that replicate a mum’s breathing during sleep.

It looks pretty creepy and, yeah, it sounds like a Sith Lord, but it appears to work.

This is a time when you don’t really want to cook anything. Frankly, even though I am a chef, I just want to sit in the garden in my knickers scoffing ice cream.

Ice cream is having a moment in London. From macha-flavoured soft serve and bulging ice cream-based freakshakes and Italian gelato at Gelupo to rolled ice cream courtesy of Kreemlicious in Willesden. My local ice cream parlour, The Sweet Spot on Kilburn High Road, is doing ‘cold stone’ waffles, an enticing mash-up of ice cream and hot waffle.

But what can beat the ice cream sandwich? It’s two of the best sweet things in one satisfying dessert. Here is a recipe for a homemade PBJ ice cream. Of course you can… Read the full story

Many people believe sugar babies (females who engage in financially beneficial arrangements with wealthy men) are simply escorts or prostitutes.

These are some of the worst compliments ever

But there are even a lot of mixed views about what the term actually entails.

Some believe females in this role are mainly there to accompany men on dinner dates, outings and to receive gifts and money in exchange. Others assume the job has more of a sexual role than that.

We spoke to 26-year-old ‘sugar babe’ Madeleine*. She says… Read the full story

Quokkas are the happiest animals around. (Picture: Instagram/daxon)

In case you’ve somehow remained unaware of the joy of quokkas, let us educate you. They are adorable. They have little smiley faces, cute little paws, and are basically full on teddy bears.

And so The Quokka Book – a book entirely dedicated to the cuteness of quokkas – is quite clearly going to be brilliant. We need it on our coffee tables, stat.

Perth-based photographer Allan Dixon, who’s spent two and a half years travelling around taking glorious selfies with Australia’s animals, has launched a Kickstarter to make his quokka-themed book a reality, with the hopes of raising $22,000 (£12,000).

Moving in with your best friend is exciting.

Life is a constant sleepover, you never run out of makeup (AKA ‘Can I borrow this?’ first thing in the morning), and you’ve got someone to save you from eating an entire tub of ice cream on your own.

What’s not to love?

But of course, we’re all human, and we all get irritated. It’s impossible to live with anybody without something annoying you at least once.

Here are 16 things you’ll only know if you live with your best friend

1. You’re never bored

You always have someone to hang out with – and being able to do it without having to leave the house is even better.

2. You have twice the amount of clothes than you did before you moved in together

But this is something else.

Refinery29 has brought our attention to a dye job that magically makes you a blonde and a brunette at the same time.

No, we’re not talking about dodgy highlights. We’re talking about hair that’s brown one minute, then gets transformed into blonde with just a simple hair flip.

The video of this mindblowing hair change was shared on Reddit by Achoo_Gesundheit (we’re not sure if it’s her in the video, but we appreciate her sharing it… Read the full story

It’s a truth universally acknowledged that if your workplace has a meeting, there’ll be at least one man who just has to speak over everyone else. He’ll also likely repeat the ideas you just said, but louder, and get the credit.

It’s infuriating.

But it’s hard to speak up and actually tell someone to pipe down for a minute so other people can talk. It feels too bold. You might be worried you’re imagining things (you’re not).

So we’re all for this new tool being used in every future meeting, presentation, and workplace conversation.
