Cheating is never okay.

It’s hurtful, deceitful, and can break a person’s trust so badly that they never recover.

In 1995, Walmart decided these 'woman president' tees were too offensive for sale

One woman whose husband was cheating on her found him out when she saw two missed calls on his phone.

On further investigation, she discovered – thanks to multiple phone calls, emails and text messages – that he was having an affair.

Furious, she got in touch with the mistress.

Rather than show contrition, the mistress was only too happy to reveal all on their sordid affair, even ‘boasting’ about what had happened between them in intimate detail.

In revenge, the wife wrote a note exposing the affair and posted copies of it through the letterboxes of the mistress’s neighbours – one of whom happened to be 22-year-old Georgia.

Georgia says the note was addressed to the mistress’ husband and… Read the full story

What cheese to eat for which kind of dream

If you’re still labouring under the belief that cheese before bedtime gives you nightmares, grab a slice of Gouda and listen up.

Because the British Cheese Board last year carried out a very scientific survey to dispel this myth for good.

They asked a whole 200 people to eat two-thirds of an ounce of cheese half an hour before bedtime and then asked them to keep a sleep diary. And, according to British Cheese Board secretary Nigel White, they found that ‘about three-quarters of everybody said that they slept well every night.’

So fresh, so clean. (Picture: Instagram/thegracechon)

A great haircut can be transformative. It can change the way you look at the world.

Because when a haircut is done well, it makes you feel good about yourself in a whole new way. You know you look good. You’re fabulous.

Evidence of the power of a haircut? The dogs featured in photographer Grace Chon’s series, HAIRY.

Grace has captured photos of dogs before they went on a trip to the groomers – all shaggy and scruffy – and after their makeovers, looking glamorous as f***.

All the dogs have been transformed by groomers at the Healthy Spot in LA, who are clearly experts in making dogs look and… Read the full story

Mandy is living our worst nightmare.

Mandy Swash from Horfield, Bristol, says she’s spent the last nine days sleeping on her sofa because a ‘huge rat’ was camped out in her bedroom.

The rat apparently ran into the house through the back door the weekend before last and made for Mandy’s bedroom.

The 48-year-old is too scared to confront the rat and can’t afford to call out a private pest control company, so she made a desperate call to Bristol Council instead.

A poo-themed cafe has opened in Canada
(Picture: Metro)

Canada is known for lots of great things. Its mega hot prime minister. Its maple syrup. The fact that it’s not America.

And now it’ll be known for the hosting one of the few poo-themed cafes outside of South Korea…where poo puddings are already sort of a thing.

Described as ‘Toronto’s first toilet themed dessert bar’, the Poop Cafe will be serving poo-inspired traditional Asian puddings and desserts.

Founder Lien Nguyen told The Toronto Star: ‘I’m trying to make poop cute’.

Opening in mid-August in Koreatown, all desserts will be served in toilet-shaped dishes. And according to The… Read the full story

When your cat goes missing for over eight years, it’s pretty normal to give up hope of ever being reunited.

But one intrepid feline has proved that it’s worth holding for a little longer.

Londoners Marna Gilligan and Sean Purdy haven’t seen their black and white cat since she went missing on New Year’s Eve, 2008.

But last month, they received an email from the Kennel Club, claiming that a cat with a matching microchip had been found.

In Paris.

After exchanging photos with the rescue centre she was staying at, it became clear that this was the same cat who had gone missing all those years earlier.

Your child is a brilliant, polite, endlessly entertaining genius. All other kids are annoying, sticky, and much too loud.

Logically, that doesn’t make sense. But all parents know this to be true.

So if you’re feeling a bit bad about the fact that you secretly hate all children who aren’t yours, don’t stress: You’re not alone.

Three quarters of British parents admit to disliking other people’s children, according to research commissioned by Voucher Codes Pro, and they’ll even try to put their kids off… Read the full story

Not content with stopping their free movement in Europe and speeding up climate change, it appears we’re also trying to destroy the future generation by naming them after Pokemon.

BabyCenter, a US-based website which offers advice to parents on everything from children’s health to baby names, is reporting a spike in Pokemon-inspired names, in the wake of the global Pokemon Go takeover.

Which means that, a decade from now, classrooms will be filled with little Pidgeys and Eevees. Maybe not Gastlys though – people have standards.

BabyCenter reports that names like Roselia and Eevee are very much on the rise for girls.

Don’t believe us? These stats don’t lie.

One minute you’re holding a fragile, helpless little bundle in your arms. The next, there’s a two-foot-tall ball of energy leaving chaos in its wake.

But with each exasperated sigh at clearing the building blocks from the carpet for the gazillionth time, there is a smile to replace it, after stumbling upon a little treasure they have hidden away – a stone from the garden or a sticker from the library.

A child’s transition to toddlerhood is never an easy one and is fraught with tears and tantrums (mostly yours).

But it is also magical.

As little ones learn more and more about the world around them, making new discoveries each day, parents are often left baffled… Read the full story

Imagine that! (Picture: Nick Kapur/Twitter)

Back in 1995, the idea of a woman becoming president of America was apparently nothing more than a hopeful slogan on a T-shirt.

And it seems even that was too much for some people.

Hillary Clinton made history last night when she became the first female presidential nominee of a major party in US history.

This morning, Twitter user Nick Kapur, Professor of Japanese and East Asian History at Rutgers University, New Jersey, shared a story from 1995 which shows just how much Hillary is changing the game.

‘In 1995 Walmart pulled “Someday a woman will be president” T-shirt from shelves, saying it offended “family values”,’ he wrote, alongside a picture… Read the full story

Japanese corgi really wants snacks, gets Photoshop battle instead

There’s been many a time where people have fallen victim to a Photoshop battle

If you’re not sure what a ‘Photoshop battle’ is, it’s where people with a load of spare time on their hands have fun messing around with other people’s pictures and generally putting the person in the snap in a ton of increasingly ridiculous pictures.

The latest battle, however, features a cute little corgi who just wanted to get his paws on some treats.

Reddit user blue_lights posted the picture of the Japanese dog ogling some doggy snacks, and the internet responded accordingly.

Ah Switzerland. It’s a strange and wonderful country with beautiful mountains, delicious chocolate and bizarre laws.

In 1995, Walmart decided these 'woman president' tees were too offensive for sale

And one of those laws specifies the minimum number of pets belonging to the same species you’re allowed to own.

For example, it is illegal in Switzerland to have fewer than two goldfish.

But are goldfish actually intelligent enough to want a partner?

It actually turns out that they’re way smarter than we all give them credit for. Their ‘three-second memory’ span, for example, can actually recall information for up to five months.

And that intelligence stretches into emotional awareness, with single goldfish being open to loneliness.

There are currently 3.9 million people in the UK living with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes is far more common than type 1. In the UK, around 90% of all adults with diabetes have type 2. While Type 1 diabetes is less common than Type 2, it still affects 10% of adults in the UK.

Why are so many women not interested in heterosexual porn? (Picture: Getty/metro.co.uk)

We all know that mainstream porn has a bit of an image problem when it comes to women.

It’s still considered unusual for women to watch porn, for one thing. There’s loads of debate over whether or not porn objectifies women. We’re still questioning whether it’s possible to be a feminist dedicated to women’s empowerment and to enjoy watching a woman fake-moaning and submitting entirely to the power of the penis.

So are we really surprised that the majority of women aren’t that into watching heterosexual porn made for men? Nah.

But what is interesting is the type of porn women actually… Read the full story
