Legal blunder means guys brought the wrong house
Chris Meyer has unwittingly been living in someone else’s house for six years (Picture: Caters)

Chris Meyer is trying to sell his three-bed flat so he can move into his dream house.

The only problem is, he doesn’t own the flat he’s been living in for six years – he actually owns the one next door.

Businessman Chris, 30, from Carlisle, was hoping to sell his flat at no. 8 Carlisle Court and move to a more spacious house, but a legal mix-up with the Land Registry documents means he actually owns the house at no. 9, while his neighbour owns his.

Which is making the sale pretty… Read the full story

Dogs need to be walked whatever the weather.

So it was only a matter of time before someone invented umbrellas designed especially for pampered pooches.

The dog brolly looks like an umbrella after it’s been turned inside out in a storm – it’s basically a normal upside down brolly that attaches to the dog’s collar.

You hold the umbrella handle as you would a normal lead.

So that also means your dog can’t run on ahead but must stay by your side like the good and faithful friend you’d always hoped they’d be.

So, it’s fair to say most of us will never run 100 metres in under 10 seconds.

We’ll probably never land a pole vault, or perform a dance routine on horseback (known in some parts as ‘dressage’).

But, that’s not to say we’re not achieving greatness every single day. In our own way.

Ahead of the Opening Ceremony in Rio tomorrow (August 5 – 8pm there time, midnight here), Twitter users have been imagining what their Olympic sport would be.

Seriously, if they were giving out gold medals for napping, we’d be nailed on for the win.

A lot of people fancy themselves as competitive pizza eaters.

If you’ve got kids, the holiday Holy Grail is a stylish hotel that has food you actually want to eat, drinks you want to drink, beaches that are attractive and not too crowded and a pool area that makes you not want to just float out to sea on your lilo.

You want to drink cocktails and be massaged safe in the knowledge that your kids are being brilliantly looked after, and you want plenty of fun things to do with them when your ‘me time’ is done.

You want buckets and spades, bottles and high chairs, car seats and cots provided so you… Read the full story

This is why you should always order the largest pizza

Go big (but it does need to be a circular pizza kid)

The next time you’re quibbling over spending an extra £3 on a large instead of a medium pizza, remember The Pizza Equation.

No, we don’t mean you + pizza = heaven. This is an actual, honest to goodness, equation.

The Pizza Equation proves that, if it’s value for money you’re after, you should always go large.

If you’re still blissfully going through life believing that a 16-inch pizza and two 8-inch pizzas will give you the exact same amount of cheesy, carby goodness, then you need to wake up sheeple.

Because, as this video from AsapSCIENCE explains, they are not the same thing. Not the… Read the full story

There are loads of things that can push someone towards losing weight. A grim picture on Facebook. The inability to keep up with their kids. General well-being.

But one mum has lost half her body weight after being told that she was too big to ride a rollercoaster.

Four years ago, Carolynn Macdonald was on holiday at Universal Studios Theme Park in Florida.

classic-simpsons-cat-lady

If you’re a crazy cat lady and someone buys you a colouring book to celebrate that fact, you kind of expect it to be a nice book all about cats.

What you don’t really expect it to be is a coded puzzle book full of hidden insults.

Oh.

That is what this guy found after buying a Crazy Cat Lady Colouring Book for his girlfriend.

Reddit user RhodesRugger was checking out the word search in his girlfriend’s book when he noticed some rather sinister phrases hidden among the innocent words they were asked to find.

While his girlfriend searched for words such as ‘meow’ and ‘yarn’, the Reddit user noted the darker findings, such as ‘reclusive’ and ‘lonely’.

And, after posting the word-search to Imgur, it seems the user hadn’t found all of the hidden words.

‘Disturbed’, ‘isolated’ and ‘anti-social’ were also among… Read the full story

First we had a cat cafe, then a bunny cafe and now an entrepreneur is planning to open…a blow job cafe. Yes you read that correctly.

Bumpix, a social networking site for escorts, is already planning to open a branch in Geneva this December, and is now hoping to open a ‘fellatio cafe’ in Praed Street, Paddington.

According to Bumpix employee Bradley Charvert, it’ll be able to cater for up to 100 men (it’s ~exclusively~ for male clientele) who can sit and have a coffee. And be pleasured by an escort.

The English language. It’s a strange beast.

St John, for example, is pronounced ‘sin-jun’. And hiccough is ‘hic-cup’.

The same applies to place names – and even if you’re a seasoned traveller, you’ll find it’s easy to get your tongue in a twist over whether it’s ‘Edinboro’, ‘Edinburg’ or ‘Edinbruh’.

Luckily, we’re here to help.

Here’s 19 British place names you’ve probably been mispronouncing your entire life.

Access to pizza 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, is a basic student right.

Which is why one university in the US has decided to install a Pizza ATM.

Yes, that’s right, students will soon be able to withdraw pizza at any time of the day. Including out of hours.

The university in Cincinnati, Ohio, partnered with French company Paline to install the ATM next to the student dining hall.

This dog is not prepared to sit on the sidelines and let life pass it by.

In a 16-second clip shared online last month by YouTuber John Proctor, the black dog can be seen itching to get involved in its humans’ slip-and-slide.

As two riders fly down the water slide, approaching the lake at speed, the dog can be seen lurking on the sidelines.

Then, it just decides to go for it – leaping onto the slide just as the dinghy passes by.

The glorious footage (albeit filmed vertically) shows the dinghy hitting the dog and propelling him high up into the air.

Imgur user sarrey was on a hike recently with her husband and two dogs, when she decided to stop and get a picture with one of them.

Except, the other dog wasn’t having it.

‘I asked my husband to take a picture of me and my buddy and our other dog decided to make an appearance,’ she explained, alongside a series of three brilliant snapshots.

For the majority of us, joining the Mile High Club brings up images of awkward positions and awkward bathroom-door encounters. But one couple have given another meaning to the phrase entirely.

A guy proposed to his girlfriend during a two hour flight…and then married her during a surprise mid-flight wedding ceremony.

The Austrian Airlines flight from Vienna to Athens started normally enough, until a choir popped up started to sing Bruno Mars’ ‘Marry You’.

Disabled toilets are something that shouldn’t cause controversy but sadly, they often do.

It’s often because of the sign showing an image of someone in a wheelchair.

A toddler went rogue during a live broadcast and it was TV gold

While nobody bats an eyelid as the disabled loos are used for the purpose of baby-changing and for a parent to avoid taking their young child into a bathroom for the opposite sex, there are other needs for the toilet that are often ignored.

When Tyler Henthorne-Dunivan and new wife Chermilla first saw each other, something told them they were destined to be together.

It might have had something to do with the fact they’re both dead ringers for Back to the Future sweethearts Marty McFly and Jennifer Parker.

And, unlike Marty and Jennifer, who had to navigate the space-time continuum to be together, Tyler and Chermilla ‘only’ had to cross 4,000 miles – from Hampstead to Fayetteville, Arkansas.

In May last year, a picture of Tyler, 36, dressed as Marty McFly, posing with original Jennifer Claudia Wells at Comic Con, went viral after they were Photobombed by Christopher Lloyd… Read the full story
