When moving house, it’s probably best to do a little investigation into your potential new neighbours – otherwise you may end up with some trouble.

Especially if you’re moving next door to a pub.

Generally, pubs consist of people who are there to drink and have a good time. You should expect noise, drunken fights and loud singing in the early hours of the morning or the late hours of a Saturday night. This is England after all.

Of course, it’s not very nice, unless you’re involved in it of course – and certainly not something you wish to listen to in the background as you snuggle up to a film.

But you can’t really complain about an establishment that you knew about before you moved in right next door, can you?

One pub is making that clear with a hilarious sign that prompts its customers to make their neighbours aware that they live next to a… Read the full story

Meet Pippa. Pippa lives in Brisbane and she loves to collect her family’s post every day.

Each morning, she meets postman Martin Struder at the end of the drive to get her post.

Martin works for Australia Post. Martin is a dog-lover and he may in fact be the world’s best postman.

Because, when he doesn’t have any post for Pippa, rather than disappoint her, he makes some up.

‘Sometimes, Pippa comes out for the daily delivery but there’s no mail for her to collect,’ Martin explained on his Facebook page last week. ‘So I have to improvise :-)’.

The Colonel’s extra crispy too (Picture: KFC)

The Colonel has spent a lot of time in the sun (look at him). He’s a man who knows the importance of sun protection.

So, it makes total sense for KFC to make the move into chicken-scented ‘extra crispy’ sunscreen.

Okay, it doesn’t make any sense at all, but, after the fast food chain’s wildly successful foray into chicken-flavoured nail polish, released in Asia earlier this summer, apparently, their ambitions know no bounds.

So, this week, they rolled out 3,000 bottles of Col. Sanders’ Extra Crispy Sunscreen with an SPF 30 and the heavenly scent of fried chicken.

You think this looks easy? (Picture: Raye Lee/Facebook)

A new mum has hit back at people who describe c-sections as the easy option, by sharing graphic pictures from her surgery.

Because a caesarean isn’t exactly a walk in the park. It’s an emergency operation and carries the same risk as any other major surgery. It is often carried out after a woman has spent hours going through difficult labour and requires a significant recovery period.

Childbirth is not easy. It’s also not a competition. And, as new mum Raye Lee from Missouri points out, a c-section should never be considered ‘the easy way out’.

In a Facebook post that’s been shared over 10,000 times in… Read the full story

If you’re one of the many people who feels an overwhelming sense of doom come 6pm on a Sunday, and has hated their job since they left education, then you, my friend, are in for some bad news.

Turns out, hating your job really does affect your health.

A new study reveals that those who hated their job early on, and who continue to dislike it, are more likely to have increased physical and mental health issues in later life.

All the new Beyoncé Lemonade merch you need to see
Hold up. We need this. (Picture: metro.co.uk)

Okay, so maybe you weren’t one of the unfairly lucky people who were able to see Beyoncé when she came to the UK. That sucks. You may never get over this.

But if Beyoncé has taught us anything, it’s that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Or a visual album tearing whoever gave you lemons to shreds.

Or, you know, buy yourself some fancy Lemonade merch. Because while you may not have been blessed by the actual presence of Beyoncé, you’ll be wearing something Beyoncé had a hand in designing. Which is almost as glorious.

Thankfully, Beyoncé has… Read the full story

You think you’re doing pretty well in life. You’ve made it to uni. You’re in your organic chemistry class and you kind of understand it.

And then you look to your left and there’s an 11-year-old sat next to you. And you wonder what you’ve been doing your whole life.

Cigdem Kahyaoglu, 19, is a second year maths and pre-med student at the University of Toledo, Ohio.

Yesterday, she shared a picture of a kid called Daniel. He’s 11-years-old and he’s in her chemistry class at university.

Japanese product pumps foam soap in a perfect rose
So pretty. (Picture: YouTube/kanebocos)

In the world of beauty innovation, Asia is f***ing nailing it.

South Korea brought us sheet masks and the ten-step skincare routine (to which we all stride towards). Japan pioneered the use of snail trails for a youthful glow. We have Asia to thank for bubble masks, cushion foundation, peelable lip tints, and pretty much every other exciting beauty product that’s been launched in the last few years.

And now, Japanese cosmetics brand Kanebo has brought us the deeply satisfying Beauty Whip Soap.

Beauty Whip Soap is a foam cleanser that’s coming out in September. It promises clear and softness and all that… Read the full story

We’ll admit we had dismissed the endless stream of new one-food only restaurants as one-trick ponies.

Do we really need a restaurant that only serves souffles? Does anyone really like souffles that much? Well, apparently, they warranted their own dedicated London pop-up, so perhaps so.

And don’t even start us on London’s first broth bar.

But, it turns out, we were just waiting for them to hit upon a food worthy of having its name up in lights, a food with enough star quality to open a restaurant on its own. The Leo DiCaprio of the food world.

Like the meatball.

When David Cameron suggested we should introduce parenting classes to the British public, the public were appalled.

How could a man who leaves one of his children in a pub (a pub!) have the audacity to suggest that we could do with parenting lessons?

At least when one of us leaves a kid in a pub nobody finds out about it.

If you’re currently enjoying the wonders of your womb shedding its skin to make way for a baby that probably isn’t coming, then this news might come as a double blow.

Because it turns out the reason we’re still having to deal with period pain in the year 2016 is that no-one can be arsed to do enough research on it.

A week ago, Samantha Wragge put her wedding dress up for sale on eBay after her husband of 18 months left her for another woman.

Blogger Samantha, 28, didn’t pull any punches. ‘I’m selling this designer Art Deco wedding dress in ivory. Mainly selling as I need to pay for my divorce which my ex-husband has left me to foot the bill for,’ she wrote.

She apologised that the dress was a little dirty on the train, but explained ‘I didn’t have time to get it dry-cleaned myself before my cheating scumbag of a husband decided to call an end… Read the full story

A day filled with love. (Picture: Lindsey Kay Photography)

When Susie Osei and her boyfriend Miles decided to get married, they knew they wanted a simple ceremony. No extravagant party. No huge, fancy cake. No fuss.

They just wanted one thing: to get married on the street where Susie grew up, where her parents still live.

Susie had always been ‘very close-knit’ with her neighbours. Each year they all have a block party, every Christmas they put out mini trees, and now and again they do cookie exchanges (which sound like great fun).

But the couple’s choice of venue wasn’t just sentimental.

Same.

Offices are strange, strange places. Yet millions of us trudge to one every single day and sit on a swivel chair, breathing stale climate-controlled air and sipping lukewarm instant coffee, whilst staring at a screen for eight hours.

IT’S WEIRD.

And it turns otherwise normal people into weird beings, who get annoyed at weird things and blurt weird things out of their weird mouths to their weird colleagues who are typing weird things on their weird computers whilst eating weird snacks.

This is what we’ve noticed in our years of office life.

1.There will be someone who is insufferably miserable from Mon-Thurs, and is only nice to people on Friday. At 5pm.

2. Everyone will pretend they don’t poo.

We all know by now that the thigh gap craze is awful, damaging nonsense.

Not thigh gaps themselves, to be clear. If your body is structured in a way that creates a gap between your thighs, that’s perfectly natural and normal. Don’t stress.

It’s the craze that surrounds the gap that’s worrying. The idea that all women should strive for a body shape that only comes naturally to some people. The belief that a thigh gap is proof that you’ve lost ‘enough’ weight (it’s not, by the way. Thigh… Read the full story
