Beer/ wine cooler garden table
The actual dream (Picture: Domesticated engineer)

This is so genius it makes our heads hurt.

We’ve all been there; the sun’s out, you’re in the garden with your mates, and then suddenly you realise you’ve run out of booze. And goddammit, someone’s got to get off their sunburnt backside and go and get some more cold drinks from the fridge.

Well not any longer, because someone has worked out a way to incorporate a drinks cooler into an actual garden table.

Yes, you will no longer have to waste precious drinking time walking to and from the kitchen.

OWWWWAAARRRGHUNNKKKHHHHOHSH*TBLOODYBASTARD!

… is the noise most people make when they tread on a Lego brick.

So why oh why would anyone choose to step on one on purpose?

We don’t actually know the answer to that, but it’s exactly what Australian YouTube comedians The Janoskians have done.

In a new video entitled Painful Lego Challenge (see what they’ve done there?), the pranksters film themselves walking up and down an ‘aisle’ of strewn Lego bricks. While blindfolded.

And we can’t lie, it’s pretty entertaining…

… from a distance that is. Because there’s not a chance in hell we’ll be trying this at home. At least not on purpose.

Microsoft is developing a bra that stops cravings
Your bra ain’t got time for your chocolate cravings

Would you like your boobs to tell you not to eat any more chocolate?

Microsoft thinks you’d love it – that’s why they’re developing a bra that can talk you out of unhealthy cravings.

Researchers from the University of Rochester and the University of Southampton have, together with Microsoft, developed a bra with heart rate sensors that pick up on changes in your mood.

When it senses you working up to a face-cramming FML moment it’ll send a message to your smartphone, reminding you to step away from that snack

eating

If you’re thinking the bra sounds like it’s veering the wrong way on the scale from helpful pal… Read the full story

Researchers at the Hanover Centre for Optical Technologies (HOT), University of Hanover, Germany, have developed contained a ‘self-contained fiber optic sensor’ which will allow you to do all sorts of biomolecular tests – including detecting pregnancies and monitoring diabetes – using your smartphone.

According to The Optical Society: ‘The readings of the sensor can run through an application on a smartphone which provide real-time results.’

gross summer beauty issues

Ah, summer. The time of year we’re supposed to look our best.

Sun-kissed skin, smooth bronzed legs, a smattering of cute freckles.

But somehow every year we forget that summer can also bring along some seriously gross beauty issues – frizzy hair, damp sweat patches and makeup that melts quicker than your ’99. Sexy.

Here’s how to solve the top seven gross summer beauty issues:

1. Chaffing

Or as it’s otherwise surreptitiously whispered – chub rub. You know, that lovely feeling you get between your inner thighs that’s basically a friction burn.

Rule number one: please dear god stay away from pencil skirts: they are the devil.

Stick to easy, breezy floaty numbers that give your thighs plenty of room to be happy in. And if it… Read the full story

Will you marry me? (Picture: Youtube/ Reactions)

If you’re serious about your steak, you need to watch this video.

Don’t you just love science? Just when you think it can’t get any better (sending people to space, curing all sorts of horrible diseases and all), it goes and shows you how to bbq the perfect steak.

A perfectly grilled steak is one of life’s greatest pleasures (unless you’re a veggie or vegan, in which case what are you even doing reading this?), but it’s also a real skill.

Unless you have science on your side that is, in which case it’s basically a breeze.

This video from the American Chemical Society’s Reactions Youtube channel goes into lots of sciencey… Read the full story

Real women, looking real good, as they do their thing.

When was the last time you saw a picture of a woman climaxing which wasn’t shot by a man?

In fact, when was the last time you saw any kind of sexual image of a woman, which didn’t involve a man in some way, shape or form?

Chances are, never.

And that’s exactly the wrong which American photographer Lauren Crow is hoping to right with her ongoing photo series The Little Death.

Nailed it.

Central Saint Martins fashion graduate Anna Goswami has created a collection of gorgeous, pop-art inspired dresses, which appear, at first glance, to be made of thousands of sequins.

But they’re not.

Instead, a closer inspection reveals that the dresses are actually made from hundreds of, er, fake nails.

Anna, who has interned for the likes of Marc Jacobs, Preen and Phoebe English, created the designs as part of her BA in fashion design, which she completed this year.

But we don’t look a day over 21?!! (Picture: Rex/Sipa Press)

Everyone gets older.

Mother Nature is a cruel cruel woman who thinks it’s funny to age your body while convincing your brain ‘you’ve still got it.’

It’s a slow, slow process and one you might not notice, until one day it hits you.

Yes, you have become old and these things now apply.

Here’s 14 signs you’re old but haven’t realised it yet.

The aftermath… (Picture: Getty)

Hen parties are generally known as the classy, feminine counterpart of the stag do.

People who think that statement is true have clearly never been to a hen party.

The reality can be anything from an evening of simple dressing up, dares and daiquiris to witnessing someone’s seemingly demure 65-year-old aunt turn into a borderline sex pest.

Here are the 17 things that happen on every hen night.

Prosecco will be opened far too early in the day

Michael Eisner doesn’t think women can be beautiful and funny (Picture: AP Photo/Peter Kramer, File)

The former Disney CEO Michael Eisner faced a backlash online after claiming women that are beautiful AND funny are ‘impossible to find’.

Yes, that’s the man who, between 1984 and 2005, had the power to massively influence young minds everywhere.

Eisner made the observation while being interviewed by Goldie Hawn at the Aspen Ideas Festival.

Despite being aware his comments weren’t going to go down well, admitting: ‘boy, am I going to get in trouble,’ he still felt it was something the world needed to hear, telling Goldie: ‘From my position, the hardest artist to find is a beautiful, funny woman. By far.’

Floating hotel: Our ship on the Viking cruise (Picture: Dave Monk)

The day begins early on the Mekong. We are woken at 6am by the clatter of ox carts coming to take us to a Cambodian village, the swoosh of fishermen dredging sea snails beside our ship or the chimes of xylophones drifting from a riverside Buddhist temple.

There is always so much to pack into the hours on board our 56-passenger vessel, including visiting local weavers or silversmiths, being blessed by monks, braving the streets of Phnom Penh in a rickshaw or taking a sampan to a floating market.

Even so, the 270-mile cruise takes up just half of our 15-day adventure, starting in Hanoi and ending in Ho Chi Minh City, taking in the 12th-century Angkor Wat temple… Read the full story
