Couple from Yorkshire, were shocked to find they were the only passengers onboard a flight from Thailand to Malaysia

Can we preface this by asking why this never happens to us?

Anyway, a couple from Yorkshire unintentionally took a private jet when they flew from Krabi, Thailand, to Penang in Malaysia, last week.

They didn’t mean to. They’d booked via low cost commercial airline Firefly. It’s just that no one else turned up.

Carrie Fisher and her partner Kyle McNicol, both 28, first got an inkling something was up when they checked in for the flight. ‘Oh very special flight for you today’,… Read the full story

Feeling a little miserable at the state of your life after seeing yet another one of Facebook friends announces their engagement or new baby?

Don’t stress. You don’t need what they have. You have Facebook.

A new study conducted by Carnegie Mellon University and Facebook suggesting that interacting with people on Facebook could make you just as happy as getting married or having a baby. Apparently.

Researchers tracked 1,910 Facebook users’ activities for three months, looking at how they used the site – commenting, posting statuses, liking photos, posting on people’s… Read the full story

Your Sunday routine could be about to change in a big way.

Starbucks has announced that they’re trialing a snazzy new weekend brunch menu, complete with waffles, quiche, and French toast. *Drools*.

The news was officially broken by blogger StarbucksMelody, an unofficial source of Starbucks-related news, who revealed that Starbucks was testing out brand new waffles.

Starbucks has now confirmed the rumours, explaining that since August 17, they’ve been trialing a new weekend brunch menu in multiple Starbucks locations across the U.S., primarily in Seattle and Portland.

Act like a boss but don’t be too bossy (Picture: Daisy Bernard)

We are told that we need to be more assertive in the office but, when we are, we’re called bossy. We’re told we should wear makeup and love our bodies, but, you know, not too much.

Sound familiar?

If it feels as though you can never win, whatever you do, that’s because you can’t – not if you’re trying to please other people.

Every day, women are expected to live up to unrealistic, and constantly conflicting, expectations, as these illustrations perfectly demonstrate.

Artist and fashion illustrator Daisy Bernard created the illustrations in the wake of the burkini ban on beaches in France and… Read the full story

How to get through small talk without being deeply bored and uncomfortable. (Picture: Keystone/Getty Images)

Small talk is an unbearable but necessary evil.

These illustrations pretty much sum up how it feels to be a woman in 2016

We hate it with a passion. We wish we could skip through chatting about the weather and start getting to the real stuff, like our intense opinions on Beyoncé’s Lemonade or our miserable childhoods.

But we have to do it.

Small talk is essential for networking and friend-making. You have to put up with it in the world of dating.

It sucks, but we all have to do it. So we will… Read the full story

You can love your body at any size. (Picture: Facebook/Mum On The Run)

Losing weight or toning up isn’t the only body transformation you should be proud of.

Bodies change. Sometimes this is because you’re no longer restricting your diet. Other times it’s because your body has just done something really tough, like giving birth, or recovering from illness.

These transformations should be celebrated too – not just the traditional six pack and weight loss selfies.

Mum On The Run blogger and mum Laura Mazza is a brilliant example of that. Last week, she shared a before and after photo with a difference, that’s since been shared more than 3,800 times.

Who are you calling crazy?

I don’t know, maybe I’m lucky, or maybe I’m just really good at picking friends, but I’ve never had to deal with psychotic bridal parties.

Sure, there have been a few fraught conversations in the Coast changing rooms about bridesmaids dresses and we’ve all whinged about having to spend a fortune on a weekend in Dublin drinking out of penis straws with crazy aunts, but that’s all par for the course.

Asking bridesmaids to put on weight so you’ll look the best on your big day? Not so much.

Panache’s new ‘Modelled by Role Models’ campaign is seriously inspiring. (Picture: Panache)

Following the success of last year’s ‘Modelled By Role Models’ campaign, Panache has brought the idea back for another round.

Rather than hiring standard industry models to show off their new collection of snazzy underwear, Panache set about choosing women based on their accomplishments, not just their bodies.

This year they chose to launch a competition to find their new role models, asking the public to nominate who they’d like to see modeling in the campaign.

They received more than 7,000 nominations.

Eventually the brand narrowed this down to a shortlist of 14 women, then asked… Read the full story

Loving each other for 57 years (Picture: Mary Evelyn Photography by Stacey Welch-Christ)

Some love stories are meant to last a lifetime.

Clemma, 76, and Sterling Elmore, 80, have been sweethearts for 57 years ‘and counting’.

They fell in love almost from the first moment they met and married four months after they started dating.

It’s like something out of a movie – and, last week, the couple from Oklahoma celebrated almost six decades together with a photoshoot inspired by one of the most romantic films of all time – The Notebook.

The photos were taken by Stacy Welch-Christ for Mary Evelyn Photography and arranged by the couple’s granddaughter Amber. Stacy… Read the full story

We thought we’d be tired of the rainbow food trend by now.

But then we saw the rainbow burger, and we fell in love all over again.

So, essentially, to recap, get this rainbow burger in our mouths immediately, please. We need it.

This week, Sydney’s Bar Luca debuted the Beauregard Burger, a tribute to the late Gene Wilder.

The Beauregard Burger is a beef patty drizzled in tomato jelly, fried potatoes, popping cheese, blueberry onion jam, and wonka sauce (we’re not sure what’s in that, but we like the sound of it), and nestled in a rainbow bun.

BEHOLD.

Sadly, Fabric was shut down today.

What shall we do with it now?

Obviously you can’t leave a space that big in a prime East London location empty for too long.

So I’ve imagined nine things Fabric might be turned into now its party days are over.

1. An artisanal all-you-can-drink champagne bar that specialises in 18 different types of savoury popcorn

You don’t really like popcorn, but apparently their strawberry and balsamic organically popped Parisian-style popcorn is a ‘playful, culinary delight’, and all your friends Instagrammed the cool neon signage inside weeks ago.

You also doubt you can drink more than two glasses of champagne before it starts to feel like you’ve swallowed shards of glass.

When 34-year-old Camilla Nielsen chose to become a parent, she risked her life.

At three years old, she was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, a genetic neuromuscular diseases characterised by progressive skeletal muscle weakness and severely damaged muscle tissue.

Along with incredible pain and difficulty day to day, the condition also makes having children a difficult choice.

As well as carrying the risk of passing the genetic disease on to children, women with Muscular Dystrophy who become pregnant risk worsening the symptoms of their syndrome as a result of increased muscle weakness.

It’s Yeezy season. Meaning misery, ennui, and a new burning need to own a nude leotard.

Yesterday fashion genius and inventor of leather jogging pants Kanye West packed a load of fashion influencers and journalists on a bus and took them over to Roosevelt Island, so they could behold his latest collection, Yeezy Season 4.

And, erm, it was a total mess.

First there was the bus travel, which featured no snacks, no Kanye merch, and no provided bottles… Read the full story

I don’t care what you’re doing right now. Put down your work and look at this little bird. Its struggles are more important.

A little mockingbird – it doesn’t have a name, so we’re going to call it Tim – was recently rescued by the California Wildlife Center, who took him in after noticing his deformed feet.

Tim was born with ‘knuckled’ feet, which means the feet have grown to fold on themselves, making it impossible to comfortably walk or perch on trees.

Left in the wild, a mockingbird like Tim would likely die.

Stop offering your opinion when I didn’t ask for it (Picture: la_syd/Twitter)

If you’re fed up of a world where people think it’s fine to just go up to a woman in the street and give their opinion on their appearance, or to approach a parent with their child and offer their thoughts on their parenting skills, then this is for you.

Sydnie Adams, a 16-year-old student, YouTuber and makeup artist from Kenner, Louisiana, believes that if you haven’t got anything nice to say, you should just keep your mouth shut.

‘I’m done with the buffoolery, I really am,’ she says in a video which she shared on Twitter, where it’s now… Read the full story

All you want is someone to spend Sunday afternoons with – is that too much to ask?
