Ever thought about what happens to all the flowers leftover at the end of a florist’s day? Or the ones left behind after a wedding’s done?

Probably not.

But once you start thinking about it, the whole thing is pretty sad. Piles and piles of flowers we once thought were beautiful, thrown in the bin the moment they start to wilt.

One artist has come up with a way to repurpose wasted flowers so they’ll live on forever.

Cara Piazza is a designer who’s dedicated to natural dyeing techniques.

Noodles are one of the greatest ever food inventions.

Recently in the news, according to a new book Prison Ramen, the most valuable thing you can trade in prison these days is not cigarettes but ramen. This is understandable. Boring food and no access to a kitchen must be frustrating in prison.

Ramen is the simplest

no cook meal you can make, all you need is a boiling water.

Ramen is so easy to pimp. Kylie Jenner shared her ramen tricks recently by snapchatting how she pimps ramen with butter, garlic and egg. I tried it and it was pretty good.

Oh, you’re still wearing cotton and silk? You poor thing.

The next hot trend is wearing large pieces of plastic, as seen all over the runway at New York Fashion Week.

If you’re not sticking to your clear plastic shell, you’re no one. Pack your fashion bags and go home.

As Jezebel notes, clear plastic took centre stage at VFILES catwalk, as part of designer Song Seoyoon’s collection.

When Bunny the baby rabbit arrived at the Kildare Animal Foundation Wildlife Unit in Ireland, he was so young that his umbilical cord was still attached.

His hopes of survival didn’t look good. Orphaned and alone, he was small, weak, and had difficulty walking.

Staff brought him in and gave him to a foster carer, who placed the bunny into a special incubator and hoped for the best.

A few days later, staff at the centre were called out for another urgent situation.

When student Nick Avallone went home for the summer, he was generous enough to bring his mum a nighttime snack whenever she asked.

What a good son.

But his mum, Eleanor, failed to properly appreciate her son’s generosity.

Because by the time Nick had retrieved a snack and made his way to his mum’s room, she’d already fallen asleep.

And she did it almost every time. Damn it, mum.

Nick eventually got so fed up of his mum’s inability to stay awake for the snacks she’d requested that he made a mini sign, reading: ‘I ask my son for snacks then I FALL ASLEEP’ and carefully placed it on his mum as… Read the full story

A time to wear scarves and mittens, even though it’s really not that cold yet, you’re sweating, and you can’t really text with your wool-covered hands.

And of course, it’s a time to skip the actual pumpkin soup and make do with pumpkin spice lattes and all other sweetened, spiced delights that you’ve told yourself taste just like pumpkin.

Eid ul Adha isn’t often as popular as Eid ul Fitr, but there are so many reasons this Eid is brilliant too.

Here’s 7 reasons to love Eid ul Adha.

1. You still might get Eid presents and/or money

While this tradition is more common for the other Eid (Eid ul Fitr), it can still happen on this Eid as well.

Especially if you’re younger.

So don’t feel too guilty about dropping some hints to your parents about this awesome tradition.

2. This Eid is as significant, if not more, than Eid ul Fitr

Eid ul Adha tends to get overlooked a lot, because there isn’t a month of fasting in Ramadan preceding it.

So there isn’t that same sense of excitement about… Read the full story

As close as a bunny should ever get to makeup (Picture: Getty)

We all like to look good, but to do so we shouldn’t be testing our cosmetics on animals or selling them to countries that test their makeup imports on animals.

You’ll be hard pushed to find a beauty brand that still tests on our furry friends, but so many of them do still sell to places such as China (where its the law that imported cosmetics must be tested on animals before being sold).

These ten brands, however, are all completely cruelty-free and can be worn without an attack on your conscience.

The new ‘healthier’ Greggs pasty made with sourdough (Picture: Greggs)

Et tu Greggs?

This week, the bakery chain famous for its steak bakes and sausage and bean melts has introduced two new ‘healthy’ pasties made with sourdough.

We know. Even Greggs has come over all health conscious. And, yes, ‘healthy pasty’ does sound like a contradiction in terms.

Anyway, the two new pasties, with a choice of chicken katsu or Bombay potato filling, use a crunchier sourdough-based shortcrust pastry (with a crumb topping), instead of the traditional butter-laden puff pastry.

Both new pasties come in at fewer than 300 calories and contain up to two-thirds less fat and saturated fat (9g rather than 25g) than your standard… Read the full story

No one knew how to spin a yarn like Roald Dahl.

Master of colourful characters and spellbinding stories, Dahl’s chocolate factory-sized imagination was responsible for some of the greatest children’s books in living memory (and his adult ones weren’t half bad either).

And with the author’s centenary looming this week, here’s a look back at some of his greatest quotes.

A New York man has described how he saw one of the city’s carriage horses collapse in the street after his driver forced him to make a green light.

The horse-drawn carriages are a familiar sight in the city and can often be seen taking tourists around the streets of Midtown Manhattan.

Bogdan Paul Angheluta, from Farmingdale, Long Island, says he was outside the Space Ibiza nightclub at around 2am on Friday, September 2, when he saw the horse fall.

The animal, a 14-year-old draft horse… Read the full story

This weekend, American fashion designer Christian Siriano was praised for leading the way in promoting all body types with his New York Fashion Week spring/summer 2017 show.

The designer is known for championing diversity within an industry that is notoriously narrow-minded when it comes to its representation of women.

Earlier this year, he created a custom-made red carpet gown for Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones after she tweeted out to say she couldn’t find a designer to dress her for the movie’s premiere.

She wrote: ‘It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie. Hmmm that will change… Read the full story

So if you want to know what a woman actually looks like on the verge of climaxing, then you’re about to have an education.

Albert Pocej has just completed a 15-part photo series of women ‘reaching the highest point of physical pleasure’ in a number of random locations including in the woods, under a wind turbine and on a piano.

How did he come up with the idea? He dreamt about it, apparently.

Hillary Clinton filmed stumbling into her motorcade

Hillary Clinton was forced to leave a memorial service for 9/11 victims yesterday after becoming unwell.

Hillary Clinton ‘got overheated’ and had to leave 9/11 ceremony early

She was later filmed stumbling into her motorcade, losing a shoe in the process, sparking concerns for her health. Doctors have since confirmed that the presidential candidate is suffering from ‘walking pneumonia’ after saying she was suffering from allergies last week.

Pneumonia affects around 8 in 1,000 adults every year in the UK, and is more widespread in the winter and autumn.
