And now that assumption (or fact, depending on your relationship history) has been confirmed by an actual study, which has found that people who cheat are more likely to dump their partner if they do the same thing.

What’s orange, thick and should be binned come early November?

People are carving their pumpkins to resemble Donald Trump in what is undeniably one of Halloween’s scariest offerings.

The ‘Trumpkin’ is taking over social media with hundreds of people carving out or painting ridiculous expressions onto their vegetables.

Not only is there a remarkable similarity between a pumpkin and the presidential candidate colour-wise, but also the stringy yellow insides can be used to create an equally bombastic Trump-like hairstyle.

Some Trumpkin artists have chosen to go with a minimalist approach.

First, people were throwing their iPhones in the air to try and get airborne selfies.

And now they’re trying to make them look like they’ve been sponsored by bottled water companies.

People in Japan are sticking Evian labels on their iPhones. We don’t quite understand why.

To get the look, you basically just have to cut out the Evian logo from your water bottle and stick it under a clear iPhone case.

Some have gone for the less-is-more approach, keeping it simple with just the crucial logo.

Let’s be honest: modern-day dating sucks.

No longer do we communicate in person, instead relying on the likes of Tinder to do the work for us.

Real conversations get overlooked because arguments are caused by a picture that’s been liked on Facebook.

We’ve all become utter tech-obsessed robots when it comes to love – and it’s time we did something about it.

One teacher is hoping to urge people to take action, offering her students a list of old-fashioned dating tips.

Today in fashion lines we never expected but are now entirely obsessed with: Whoopi Goldberg is creating her own line of ugly Christmas jumpers to be sold at Lord & Taylor.

Yes, that Whoopi Goldberg. And yes, we are talking actual Christmas jumpers, designed to be ugly (but in a delightfully charming way).

Whoopi announced her new venture through an interview with Vogue, explaining that she’s always loved ugly Christmas jumpers.

‘You can’t call them “ugly”,’ Whoopi told Vogue. ‘Mine are kind of “funny Christmas sweaters” or “Christmas sweaters with a twist.”

Today it was announced that Bob Dylan has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2016.

He’s the final Nobel Prize winner to be announced this year, joining the likes of Oliver Hart, J.Michael Kosterlitz, Fraser Stoddart, Bern Feringa, and Juan Manuel Santos.

It’s all very exciting for Bob Dylan fans (AKA my Dad).

But the announcement of his prize confirms what I suspected might be the case as the award announcements were slowly rolled out: not one Nobel Prize winner for 2016 is a woman.

Today in ‘you’re doing everything wrong, you massive failure’ news, apparently we’ve been eating our pizzas all wrong. Damn it.

Pizza expert Daniel Young, who’s learned all about the holy ways of the pizza from his Mr Miyagi, Naples-based pizza maker Enzo Coccia, has declared to Manchester Evening News that holding a slice by the crust – as most people do – is a terrible way to consume its carby, cheesy goodness.

Enzo and Daniel agree that if you try to lift a traditional Neapolitan pizza by the crust, the toppings will all slide off into a big muddle of cheese on your plate, leaving you with just a tomato-stained dough and a few… Read the full story

Yep, while it’s lovely to be all warm and cosy, hot chocolate in hand with the extra comfort of a blanket and the heating on full whack, it all comes at a price.

While we were big fans of the paper doll theme of Moschino’s New York Fashion Week show, there was one part of the collection that felt a bit… off.

Pumpkins harvest asda

If you ever wondered where all those pumpkins spring from every October, piling up in supermarkets, outside corner shops and in grocery stores, well, wonder no more.

Turns out they are grown in vast pumpkin farms with millions of pumpkins growing side by side in fields.

When they are ready for harvest they are picked by hand – no one wants a scuffed pumpkin come Halloween – and stacked up in huge 6ft high pumpkin walls.

The result is a quite mesmeric sea of orange.

Pumpkins
Pumpkins. So many pumpkins

This particular pumpkin farm ships out 90,000 pumpkins every day during the peak pre-Halloween months and,… Read the full story
