It seems everyone is getting into the Halloween spirit this year – including animals.

Here's what Movember actually is and why it's so important

But we think it’s safe to say Delores, a hairless cat, has totally won Halloween for the feline kingdom.

And who’s to thank? Her owner, Rylee Rae, from Toronto, who dressed little Delores as Dobby.

Sharing a photo of Delores, aka Dobby, to Instagram, Rylee wrote: ‘Master has given Dobby a sock’.

Delores’ outfit was made using an old jacket, which took Rylee an hour to cut up and fashion.

According to Buzzfeed, Rylee isn’t much of a Harry Potter fan herself and got the idea to dress Delores as Dobby from her friends.

Nice move, but what about your blouse? (Photo by Chung Sung-Jun/Getty Images)

Chess tournaments aren’t usually the most controversial of events, in fact they’re usually quite a sedate affair.

Here's what Movember actually is and why it's so important

But did you know that chess maintains one of the most sexist and outdated rules across all competitions?

Nestled in between funny rules about hats falling off in tennis and volleyball teams having to play in different colours, is something so startlingly ridiculous it’s almost funny.

Almost.

A woman can lose a chess match if it’s judged that she’s showing too much cleavage, the Sportsbettingonline.net research shows.

If her opponent complains then the judging… Read the full story

Movember Rules 2016: How to grow a mo this November

Millions of men around the world will embrace their handlebars, chevrons and dalis as part of the annual Movember challenge.

Why a moustache?

The moustache is the homegrown version of wearing a ribbon.

Some will be sacrificing their beards while others will grow an iconic mo replica, classic moustache, chest-tash combo or even dye their upper lips for the cause.

This year is all about raising awareness not only of prostate cancer and testicular cancer but also male mental health.

But while the month is all about charity and having an excuse to play around with facial hair styling, there are a few unsaid rules in taking part in the challenge.

1) You must be clean shaven to start the challenge

On Halloween (or ‘shadoween’) your entire face should be smooth and free from hair. This includes the moustache region, including the entire upper lip and handlebar zones.

Primark is the last word in fast fashion and now they’ve set their sights on the world of beauty.

So in the name of intrepid journalism (and really liking lipstick) we tried out three of Primark’s colour rich lipstick range.

This girl got her head stuck inside a pumpkin, because Halloween

We tried three different colours from the PS Pro range.

The lipsticks are supposed to be moisturising, but don’t claim to be long wearing. We liked spring release on the tubes, though they did feel a little bit flimsy. We each tried our shade without any lip-primer or lip liner underneath.

Halloween is a time for creativity – for going to town on costumes that go beyond donning a mask.

We tested Primark's lipsticks and they were surprisingly great

If you’re in a wheelchair however, it’s not as easy to find the perfect trick-or-treating outfit.

But one couple in America is making sure that this isn’t the case for lots of kids, by transforming their wheelchairs into the most incredible Halloween creations.

Forget Halloween this year and embrace the Mexican festival Day of the Dead which actually lasts a full three days!

Known as Día de Muertos in Spanish, this festival commences on October 31 at midnight when it is believed that the gates of heaven are opened to release the spirits of children who can visit for 24 hours.

At midnight on November 1 the children return and the adults are released to come down and enjoy the party.

Believe it or not but the humble moustache is thought to date all the way back to the prehistoric times.

Roughly shaven blocks of hair have been found above the lips of some prehistoric men – raising the possibility that the facial hair style was a status symbol back when we were hunting woolly mammoths and painting the inside of caves.

After Bonfire Night, November is just a waiting game before the fun and frivolities of advent can begin.

It’s dark. It’s cold. There are really very few reasons to be jolly.

Chess tournaments have rules about clevage

That is until waves of gloriously dreadful moustaches start appearing on usually clean-shaven blokes.

If you’re feeling glum, just find someone doing Movember and their amusing facial hair will immediately lift your spirits.

And apart from keeping us all entertained, those Movember moustaches raise awareness about two hugely important problems – male cancers and male mental health.

Looking good! (Picture: Getty)

It’s Movember, the month where men who wouldn’t normally be seen dead with anything on their upper lip suddenly embrace the mighty moustache.

But what’s the best way to grow it? Can you keep things in it? And should you feed it after midnight? Here are 13 things you only know if you’ve tried to grow a moustache.

1. It takes forever

You’re used to stubble that grows at alarming speed, but when you’re trying to grow something more structured your face seems to go on slowdown. That’s because there’s a big difference between a bit of scratchy stubble and the luxuriant lengths you’ll need to grow a truly magnificent bit of facial foliage.

The fashion industry can be notoriously backwards when it comes to diversity and representation – but times are changing.

Here's what Movember actually is and why it's so important

We’re seeing a slight increase in the numbers of black and Asian models hitting catwalks and campaigns.

Normal-sized women are slowly finding more representation from stars like Ashley Graham. Trans models are few and far between but are gaining ground.

So of course, someone had to come along and ruin everything.

Enter: Jacamo – the male equivalent of fake Ugg boots and Primarni leggings.

why you should make wroclaw your next weekend break
Stunning sights to see, delicious food, and great weather – just a few reasons to visit Wroclaw (Picture: Ellen C Scott/metro.co.uk)

So, first things first.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably never heard of Wroclaw before.

You might guess that it’s somewhere in, erm, the Russian/Polish region, or you might momentarily confuse it with Warsaw (which is fair enough, to be honest. They are both in Poland and both begin with ‘W’).

That’s understandable. Wroclaw hasn’t really been picked up and spread around as a go-to for places to pop to when you’ve got a long weekend. It’s still only really known about by serial travellers.
