Menstruation-ally mesmerising (Image: YouTube/Skit Box)

Menstruation is heavily stigmatised around the world, which is bloody (geddit?) ridiculous considering half the world’s population will have a period at some point in their lives.

Despite having had blood gushing out of our vaginas on the reg since we were teens, we women still sometimes forget it’s coming. D’ya know why? ‘cos we’re chill AF.

You know who isn’t chill AF about periods? Lots of men.

It’s especially frustrating when the men in your life – who are all-round top blokes usually – act like little babies when it comes to your time of the month.

But cast your mind back to the train journeys of the good old days: Classy dining carriages with delicious food, chic compartments where you could fall asleep in peace and gorgeous views flashing past giant windows.

Put down your cheese toastie for a minute and listen up. This is news of the highest possible importance.

New research from Nature Medicine suggests that eating cheese could be the key to living longer.

That’s right. Cheese is what you need to live forever. The stuff you find on pizza, in toasties, and mixed into mac ‘n’ cheese. The light of your life. That stuff.

The study suggests that consuming spermidine, a compound found in aged cheese, could make you live longer.

Chicago – it’s that funny old town most of us associate with pizza, musicals and the phrase ‘the Windy City.’

When you arrive you may think it’s obvious how it got this name (bring a very warm hat, coat and gloves), although some of the residents insist it’s called The Windy City because of its wind bag politicians.

Whichever is true, this is a fascinating American city with a grit and attitude all of its own.

It’s streets are wider and cleaner than New York, but its skyscrapers as impressive.

If you’re worried that today’s little kids might be growing up in an intolerant and misogynistic world, then take some comfort from Meaghan Elderkin.

She’s making sure that her daughter gets her daily dose of female empowerment by drawing feminist messages on napkins in her lunchboxes.

Everyone knows that the grandparents are the life and soul of every family gathering.

They tend to have no filter, never think before they speak and love to laugh at inappropriate jokes. Actually, most of the time they’re the people making the inappropriate jokes.

Just like this grandma, who turned up to her family’s November family gathering in a rather rude T-shirt.

Bored Panda writer Aran Jevi’s grandma decided to wear a T-shirt that, while at first seems harmless, once pushed together clearly states: ‘F*** you’.

Britain is about to be hit by a ‘sloe gin’ drought

A fungus is threatening to reek havoc on Britain’s crops of sloe berries this Christmas – putting supplies of sloe gin at risk.

Taphrina pruni appears to be at the heart of the problem, causing a condition in hedgerows called ‘pocket plum’.

This causes the fruit of sloe, damson and plum plants to distort and rather than growing into a round berry or fruit, they simple become a shallow cup shape.

George Anderson, for the Woodland Trust, said sloe harvests in Scotland in particular are more than 80% down while affected areas include Buckinghamshire, Yorkshire and Lancashire.

But of course, men don’t hold the monopoly on being a nerd whose partner just doesn’t share their passion for comics, games, and all things geeky.

If you’re a girl geek, these are the unique troubles you’ll encounter when you’re in a relationship with someone who just isn’t quite as geeky as you are.

Tinder has just revealed that their next update will allow trans and gender noncomforming users to more accurately describe their gender identity.
