‘You ever do anything that doesn’t end up in a standoff, Chow?’ (Picture: Warner Bros.)

Near the beginning of The Hangover II, Phil, Stu, and Alan, the gangster Leslie Chow, and a chain-smoking capuchin monkey wake up in a hotel room in Bangkok with the mother of all hangovers.

How to live forever*, according to a Japanese longevity chef

And hungover I too became in Bangkok, thanks in large part to a whisky-based cocktail named Fire, the creation of which involved placing chopped fruit and spirits in a large wine glass and rotating the glass over a flame.

The Lebua Hotel,… Read the full story

Slowly Zuzu started to settle in at the centre. Staff described her as ‘beautiful and loving’,… Read the full story

You will argue in this manner at least once

Ah, Christmas. Tis the season to be jolly, and also to avoid the minefield of arguments just waiting to happen.

The festive season has a funny habit of bringing out the best and the worst in all of us and, while there’s undoubtedly much merriment, there are often a few tears shed.

No matter who you are or what your family is like, some of these arguments will sound familiar.

Have a read and try to make sure you don’t fall victim to them this December.

Remember when dating was simple? When it was all about sharing a glass of milk? (Picture: Bob Barrett/FPG/Hulton Archive/Getty Images)

If you haven’t noticed, dating in 2016 is absolutely awful.

The way we date is drastically different to the way people dated ten years ago, from dating apps to new joyous trends like ghosting (which is the way forward) and breadcrumbing.

A new study from eHarmony Australia provides some evidence that shows exactly how things have changed.

You see, we no longer go on a few dates and then instantly become boyfriend and girlfriend. Instead we ‘see’… Read the full story

Poor kitty. (Picture: Twitter/@mikkel5en)

Let us all take a moment to feel a bit sorry for this cat.

In defence of teenage sexting

This cat burglar was clearly just trying to start a life in crime.

Or perhaps it was just innocently making a depawsit.

But regardless, something went terribly wrong and this cat ended up getting trapped in a Halifax overnight.

Which would have been embarrassing enough in itself, but then someone walked by, took pictures, and shared those pictures on the internet.

Poor, humiliated cat.

Having therapy isn’t quite like how it’s represented in popular culture.

Mental illness is commonly treated with the help of medication which will usually treat the symptoms, but to understand the origins, triggers and to help manage the condition in the long run, therapy (or counselling) is vital.

The words ‘unexpected item in bagging area’ fill us all with anger or dread – but studies show that lots of us see the ‘convenient’ machines dotted around shops as an easy way to grab a few freebies.

A study from University of Leicester revealed that normally honest people give into temptation when they’re left to scan their own shopping, choosing to blame faulty technology or general stupidity if confronted by a member of staff.

But what is it about anti-social shopping that makes us resort to theft?

The study showed that people tend to steal simply because they can, and don’t feel that it’s wrong when there is no human… Read the full story

Please stop. (Picture: Liberty Antonia Sadler/metro.co.uk)

I have never wanted to have kids.

I find babies scary (they’re just so delicate). I don’t think I’m the motherly type. And when I picture my life, a child isn’t included.

When I mention this in passing the reaction is nearly always the same.

The person I’m telling will ask how old I am (23 at the mo, but my birthday’s coming up), and when I tell them, they’ll reply: ‘oh, well, you’ll change your mind.’

There’s some variation. Sometimes the ‘you’ll change your mind’ is said with a smile. Sometimes it’s dismissive. Occasionally it’s coupled with getting berated for being ‘selfish’, or asked if I’m… Read the full story

Health secretary Jeremy Hunt, loved by junior doctors and known for being real stand-up guy, now wants to ban sexting for under 18s.

The Silisponge says it will make your foundation last 50% longer

Jeremy’s super plan is that tech companies who, in his own words, ‘if they put their mind to it, can do really smart things’, should invent software that prevents explicit pictures from being sent from the phone of anyone under 18.

Once you’ve decked the halls with vagina baubles, the rest of your home can feel a little lacklustre in comparison.

WallBalls seem like the best solution.

Created by Brian Sloan – the same man who came up with the World’s Most Beautiful Balls Contest – WallBalls are simply a 3D scanned replica of the third most beautiful balls in the world, designed to be hung on your wall.
