The fussy young Humboldt penguins at Chessington World of Adventures are driving their zookeepers to despair.

Keepers have noticed the toddler penguins have p-p-picked up some fussy eating habits, much like their human counterparts.

Some of the younger penguins at Chessington’s Penguin Bay have been spotted playing with their food, demanding their food is served in a particular way, and only wanting the sweeter dishes on the menu.

Divas much?

Picky Penguin alert! Chessington’s… <a href=Read the full story

In the latest round of objectification of the male form, it has been decided that hot, throbbing veins are the new six-pack.

We just thought you should know.

For those who turn their noses up at dadbods and find six packs a little, well, gauche, it’s all about those hot, pulsating veins.

After New York personal trainer and model Elias Carmelo told Details magazine: ‘Vascularity is the new six-pack,’ The Cut has taken up the trend and declared veins officially hot right now.

According to Elias, since walking around topless and showing off your six pack is now a total no-no in gym circles, veins are the new fitness trophy.

The key vein is the cephalic which runs up the side… Read the full story

Coffee gif

According to a new study, ‘men who drink the equivalent caffeine level of two to three cups of coffee a day are less likely to have erectile dysfunction.’

Yep. Caffeine builds strong d***s.

The study, released this week by the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, found that men who consumed between 85 and 170 milligrams of caffeine a day were 42 per cent less likely to report erectile dysfunction, than those who didn’t consume any.

Men who consumed between 171 and 303 milligrams of caffeine a day were 39 per cent less likely to report performance issues.

Eye contact and body language is the secret to getting laid, apparently

The study used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, where erectile dysfunction was assessed by a single question. Caffeine sources in the study included tea, soda and sports drinks, as well as… Read the full story

We’re all about a good burrito, but our new found love is for purritos, aka kittens wrapped up in blankets.

Best Friends Animal Society is out to raise awareness for kittens who need adopting.

The organisation rallies up teams of volunteers every kitten season to bottle-feed and care for orphan litters until they can be found new homes, and its latest campaign is all about playing up the cuteness.

Take a look at these photos the team posted on Instagram and try not falling head over heels for these teeny, tiny purr-itos.

Hard times (Picture: Getty)

Hands up if you were the smart student in your class. Come on now, you normally love raising your hand.

Despite having the lion’s share of the brains in the room, it was not an easy life was it? Nowadays Sherlock, the new Doctor Who and The Big Bang Theory have made geeks a little bit sexy and cool.

But being the brainbox was more often a curse than a blessing.

There were a number of reasons for this and no amount of your mum telling you that you will always be the coolest kid to her would make it any easier.

Here are just some of the perils faced by the school brainiacs.

Sunny D
Yep. Still annoying (Picture: YouTube)

Ah, SunnyD.

Along with Heinz Baked Beans pizza and Billy Bear ham, they take you back to a time when the sun always shone, Kylie and Jason were together, and no one gave a flip about E-numbers.

And no 90s child can forget those intensely irritating rollerblading kids rummaging around in Mrs B’s fridge from the 1991 Sunny Delight ads.

But what became of those annoying children (no one ever asked, ever)?

Well, playing on our love of all things 90s nostalgia and tugging at our millennial heartstrings, SunnyD has brought those moronic kids back.

The funny 2015 parody shows them, now 36-years-old, still rollerblading, still crowding into Mrs B’s kitchen for some… Read the full story

Earlier this week, Florida firefighters saved a family of dogs using tiny oxygen masks.

We repeat. Firefighters. Puppies. Tiny oxygen masks.

The firefighters were called to a house fire in Palm Coast on Tuesday morning. After seeing smoke coming from his garage,  Roy Casey, 37, had tried to put out the fire himself, but after failing to get it under control, ran out of the house with his young daughter.

Both were later taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

prosecco

PANIC: An Italian manufacturer has forecast a ‘global shortage’ of prosecco which will impact stocks in the UK this summer.

Cracking open a bottle of prosecco at every given opportunity is something we pride ourselves on, so warnings of an imminent dry spell are just devastating.

According to Robert Cremonese, the export manager of Italian prosecco producer Bisol, stocks are way down.

‘Last year’s harvest was very poor, and down by up to 50 per cent in some parts, so there is a very real possibility of a global shortage,’ he told The Drinks Business.

‘We’ll find out how big the problem is in August when the brokers release their stock. At the moment we don’t know how much prosecco they’re holding on to.’

How has this happened though, really?

Mr Cremonese says that it’s the greedy wine merchants who ‘hold the power at the moment as they bought all of the stock’.

‘It might turn out that some… Read the full story

Jacqueline Poirier Resident Artist at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto
Because, steak! (Picture: Wenn)

Introducing Jacqueline Poirier, the resident artist at the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto behind the most amazing food plates you’ve ever seen.

Poirier’s works of art can be found all over the hotel’s TOCA dining room (fancy), but fear not because custom orders can be made via her website. Think hand-painted designs, think pure deliciousness.

While her specialty is food – presented on plate canvases, obviously – she also creates portraits of humans (Rihanna? You betcha), animals and landscapes.

When art is so good you want to eat it. That.

Steak (and baby we like it rare).

Or, you can just carry your little furby around with you at all times.

The hoody was created by a Japanese company (obvs) called Unihabitat and costs a bargain $5,980 yen (£31). Maybe buy a few because, let’s face it, if you even get them to go in the pouch in the first place, your cat’s going to scratch the hell out of it.

The fleece-lined pouch is fully detachable and washable pouch (because cat hairs).

Let’s face it, dating non-celebrities is boring and tired and disappointing.

So it’s just as well members of the cast of Made In Chelsea are on dating app Happn.

In case you didn’t know, Happn is the new Tinder.

It’s a location-based dating app but possibly more stalkerish as you can see exactly where you crossed paths with other singles on there.

Kendall Jenner won the red carpet at last night’s AmfAR Cinema Against Aids charity gala.

She’s the Blake Lively of Cannes 2015.

While all around her, fellow supermodels were flashing their side-boobs, uniboobs and underboobs, Kendall waltzed in and stole the show in her Calvin Klein Collection crop top and flowing skirt (no, not a dress).

Like an actual sugar plum fairy.

Somehow Kendall appears to have missed the Kardashian bodycon gene, always opting instead for zero-fuss, modern looks.

No-one intends to be hungover at work. You intend to go for dinner with a friend, or just have a quick pint at the end of the day.

Then before you know it you’re falling into bed at 1am, the room is spinning, and you’re oddly confident that you’re going to be totally fine for work the next day.

You never are.

If you went out for a few drinks last night, this is probably what you’ve gone through today – and what you still have to look forward to.

This might look like a one-in-a-million half-court shot but, for cheerleader Ashlee Arnau, it’s standard.

This is, in fact, the third time that the William Carey University student has nailed the incredible stunt.

She managed the soccer style flip throw for the first time back in 2013 at the Crusaders game against Auburn-Montgomery, according to the uni website, and now she’s gone and done it again.

The technique, for those game, is to do a running start, go into a front-flip, grab the ball while upside down, and then launch it into the basket.

This girl’s got skillz.
