You will never try it without the sarcasm (Picture: Getty Images)

It’s been proven that sarcasm can help to make a person three times more creative, but of course you already knew that because when it comes to sarcasm you’ve got it all covered.

Not only are you cutting edge with your wit, but you can almost get away with anything because no-one can ever work out if you really mean what you say.

You *might* know the following if you’re sarcastic too…

1. It can cause issues

Because no-one really understands exactly what you mean, there have been instances where it’s been blown way out of proportion and you’ve found yourself in an HR meeting to discuss your comments about smashing the printer. And of course you meant every… Read the full story

Your twenties are a time of change, of adapting, growing up and becoming an ‘adult’.

Sometimes the transition is not as smooth as we hope, and we definitely tell ourselves some lies to help us get through the harder times.

1. I have the alcohol tolerance of my 18-year-old self

Pre-drink on vodka, switch to beers and then someone gets in the tequila and jager bombs. 18 year old me = dancing on tables like I’m Beyonce. 25 year old me = head down the toilet.

2. Those comments my family were making about me settling down at my cousin’s wedding were all jokes

We’ve all been there.

What they say: ‘When are you going to find a lovely lady/gentleman… Read the full story

Shopping in Ikea is your nightmare (Picture: AP)

Do you ever receive social media updates of yet another person you know (or someone you vaguely know of) who has gotten engaged/married/had a baby/purchased a house, and you start to feel suffocated?

And not suffocated because none of the above has happened to you yet, but instead suffocated at the thought of it ever happening to you?

Congratulations! You’re not ready to settle down and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

1. You’re too busy working

Unfortunately settling down and doing fancy grown up things requires money, and in order to make money you’re too busy currently working your socks off in a job that probably doesn’t pay enough to buy a matching set of fancy flowerpots. Great.

Super woman (Picture: Sandra Chevrier)

In a stunning series called ‘Super Hero Cages’, Sandra Chevrier paints beautiful women covered in bold comic book prints.

She does this to show the expectation society places on women to become superheroes.

Chevrier says: ‘The series “cages” is about women trying to find freedom from society’s twisted preconceptions of what a woman should or shouldn’t be.’

By covering women in comic books she says she hopes to show the struggle that women go through with having ‘false expectations of beauty and perfection as well as the limitations society places on women.’

She adds: ‘By doing so, society is asking them to become superheroes.’

We’ve all been there, someone suggests going for a couple after work, nothing hectic, just a casual drink at the pub.

Fast forward 12 hours and you’re unsure you can ever go back to your job.

Here are some common regrets of anyone who has ever had one (or seven) too many at after work drinks.

1. Photo evidence

Finding selfies on your phone of you and someone very senior who clearly doesn’t want to feature in your photoshoot.

You’re way more into it, have your arm around their neck and your tongue is out.

Two houses billed as the most expensive council homes ever are going on sale for over £3 million each. And we want in.

They were sold together in 2013 to property investors for £2.96 million, but have since had a stunning remodel, and now feature new conservatories and marble bathrooms.

With the first stylish townhouse on sale for over £3 million, it looks like the property investors could double their money if the second is priced as high.

How could you eat this guy? (picture: Laleh Mohmedi)

Most mums will tell you not to play with your food, but this mum does exactly that.

Australian food artist (that’s her actual job – fair enough) Laleh Mohmedi creates healthy snacks for her two-year-old Jacob that are nothing less than a work of art, in an attempt to get him excited about healthy food.

‘Every night before bed, Jacob tells me the character he would like for me to make; either from a book, cartoon, toy, or something that has caught his eye that day,’ Laleh says.

‘He has even asked for Michael Jackson.’

Each meal can take Laleh up to 35 minutes to make, depending on the complexity of the character and the meal that is being made.

Husbanding lesson number 1: Whatever you do, do not throw out your wife’s irreplaceable Judy Blume book.

Our thoughts go out to the New York husband who accidentally gave away his wife’s prized copy of the Judy Blume classic, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.

According to flyers, which have popped up all over the trendy New York neighbourhood of Greenpoint, the story goes a little something like this…

I accidentally gave this book away on Saturday July 25th in a box on the corner of of Green and Franklin Streets in Greenpoint. The book is extremely important to my wife. It was a keepsake from her mother and is irreplaceable. On the inside cover is a note that reads “Christmas 1991.” If you happened to pick up this book can you please get in touch with me.

Not impressed (Picture: Freshpet/YouTube)

Over 20 unsuspecting diners who thought they were lucky enough to be taste testing a free meal were tricked into eating dog food.

That’s right. Dog food.

It was an experiment led by Freshpet, who were so confident in their pet food that they reckoned even humans would be happy to chow down the canine eats.

The guinea pigs were served what they thought was a tasty bacon burger, a chicken taco and a ‘classic’ spaghetti with meatballs.

For the most part people actually seemed into it and said it smelled and tasted great.

This girl was totally into the exotic meat: ‘The chicken tacos, they’re really good and it just gives you that tropical taste.’

We hadn’t realised swimwear could have sexual preferences either, but some are accusing tight fitting swimming trunks of being ‘too gay’.

Speedophobics recently voiced their opinion that tiny trunks were too comfortable expressing their sexuality when American country singer Steve Grand wore a pair.

Grand had posted a photo of himself on Instagram in the budgie-smugglers whilst hanging out in the Chicago sunshine at Lake Michigan with friends.

Some felt Grand was hanging out a little too much as he sported what we think are Andrew Christian bikini bottoms.

Everyone’s saying it. Lonely Planet, TripAdvisor and AOL have all named Yorkshire in their best of the best lists for one thing or another.

While everyone else admires it, us Yorkshire folk get to live it. Here are 6 reasons we’re proud of Yorkshire.

1. The size

In the past 30 years, Yorkshire has at one point had a greater population than nations like Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Libya, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay and New Zealand.

It’s also approximately equal in size to countries like Israel and El Salvador and has a greater population than all but 14 states of the USA.

Which begs the question: should Yorkshire be a country in its own right?

Britain has some of the most spectacular countryside in Europe.

15 National Parks have been created to protect our greatest asset, and to enable us all to explore and enjoy the wonderful landscape in which we live. It’s National Parks week so here’s a quick introduction to them all…

1. Breacon Beacons

This National Park in South Wales not only has an extraordinary landscape, it is also the only ‘dark sky’ reserve in Wales. This means you can go star gazing and see worlds far beyond our own.

Happy World Wide Web Day!

The internet is a great tool that has completely transformed our lives, and it should be extensively celebrated for allowing us to make celebrities out of cats with grumpy faces.

But one thing we’d all rather forget about is the bucket load of cringe worthy mistakes which we’ve all made when it comes to social media.

Here are 13 mistakes which you’ve definitely made at some point.

1. Questionable selfies

You’re totally guilty of sharing a horrific selfie on social media, and chances are this was probably taken on a mobile phone way before cameras became a standard feature. This selfie is probably fuzzy, angled very awkwardly and you’re definitely doing a pose which you reckon makes… Read the full story

14 ways trying to recapture your uni days is doomed to fail

Binge drinking

Everyone spends the few years after graduating from university in a state of confusion. Is that it? Is it all over? Are we just staring down the barrel of the 9-5 gun for the rest of our lives?

So, inevitably, we try to return to those glory days – and, just as inevitably, end up making ourselves feel worse about the whole thing.

Here are the ways we try to recapture our uni days – and why they fail miserably.

1. Drinking like you used to

The good news is that you can still drink as much as you used to at uni. The bad news is that you no longer bounce back from hangovers like the irrepressibly robust 19 year old you once were.

2. Doing… Read the full story
