The internet might be full of ‘fitness gurus’ but Ross Edgley is in another league altogether.

As well as being a sports scientist and co-founding nutrition company The Protein Works, he’s an endurance athlete and charity fund-raiser like no other.

Turns out you're probably not on Tinder to meet someone...

A couple of months ago, he ran 30 marathons in 30 days.

Then he took part in the world’s longest rope climb, climbing the height of Everest.

And last year, he completed a triathlon…with a tree trunk strapped to his back.

He’s basically… Read the full story

Over half of married Brits regret spending so much on their wedding

Picking your best pictures, swiping until you get RSI and enduring ‘hey wat u up to?’ conversations. It’s all part of the charm.

Being dumped can be heartbreaking.

One minute, you’re happily bantering away with your S.O over a mid-week bottle of Merlot, the next, they’ve shafted you without any apparent reason and you’re back drinking on your own.

What makes everything 10 times worse is when they’re not honest about why they’ve let you go. You know it was you and not them – but you don’t know exactly what it was about you that finally tipped them over the edge.

Which is why a survey of 6,842 dating app members has now been released looking into the top reasons people ended their relationships in 2016.

And the results are fascinating.

While the UK might have been torn by Brexit, Americans have experienced a political rift over Trump… Read the full story

The vegan food game is getting better all the time (Picture: Getty; Metro.co.uk)

For full disclosure, and before some keen-eyed Metro reader spots that I have written about my obsession with cheese on numerous occasions, I have not always been a vegan.

And because of that obsession with cheese, I have been prone to slip ups in the past.

Pizza Express are now doing a three-course vegan menu

But it’s getting easier and easier to avoid those slips ups and eat something other than a sad looking… Read the full story

If you’re a woman who’s had sex with a man, you’ve probably experienced it at least once.

Your sex buddy is really keen for you to orgasm. Like, really keen. So keen they ask ‘did you come?’ every two minutes, and are deeply, wholly disappointed when you say no.

An important thing to note while you’re surrounded by adverts showing perfectly airbrushed bodies and flicking through pages of glossy magazines: so, so many people have stretch marks.

Seriously. They’re totally natural, entirely normal, and nothing to be ashamed of.

They happen during growth spurts. Weight gain. Seemingly without any reason at all.

Why you really shouldn’t use a bath bomb as highlighter

Over the last few weeks, a new DIY makeup trend has been popping up all over the internet: using the glitter from a bath bomb as highlighter.*

A gravy bar is opening in Manchester, and we need to get ourselves there immediately

*Sparkly stuff smudged along the cheekbones, to be clear. Not a highlighter pen used for revision.

The ‘tip’ appears to have started over on Twitter, where people shared their joy at learning they could smoosh their bath bombs against their face to create a glittery sheen.

To be fair, the end result looks pretty snazzy.

Mother’s Day, if you’ve got two mums, is twice as important.

metro illustrationsIs there something narcissistic about those of us who choose to date cheaters?

Which would make it extra sucky if you couldn’t find a card that quite fits.

Admittedly, most cards just say ‘mum’ on them. So you could buy one of those. But it’s nice to be able to get a card that accurately reflects your life experience.

Luckily, Sainsbury’s have nailed their (rainbow) colours to the mast by producing a same-sex couple Mother’s Day card, which kills two birds with one stone.

There’s nothing better than a liquid lunch when it’s good and hot.

And alcohol brands are making daytime summer drinking ever more acceptable by coming out with things like sorbets and slushies in brightly coloured packaging – rather than big glass ‘I’m an alchie’ bottles.
