Brew green tea wrong and it can taste foul. Add milk and you’ll never want to drink a hot drink again.

Making a good cup of green tea is full of possible pitfalls, but it’s worth it – right?

What are the benefits of drinking green tea?

After all, it’s a drink often jokingly associated hummus eating yogis because of its supposed wellness properties so it must be good for us.

In what is probably the least surprising news of the day, the Unicorn Frappuccinos that are driving Starbucks baristas mad are full of sugar.

Not that you’d expect anything that violently colourful to be anything other than sweet.

Starbucks baristas hate the new Unicorn Frappuccinos and are losing it online

Plus, lots of delicious drinks are sugary. A Pumpkin Spiced Latte is hardly a savoury option. Regular frappuccinos are pretty sweet. And as for winter drinks, they’re really just warmed up sugar syrup.

But what are Starbuck’s newest and most magical, limited-edition drinks actually made from?

Watching the London Marathon can be a little tricky.

Large crowds can mean poor mobile phone signal so its worth planning in advance where to meet friends and family.

Hotspots tend to be near Greenwich town centre and the Cutty Sark or near Tower Bridge, The Mall and anywhere from Mile 24 onward to the end.

The experienced watcher meanwhile will know that your best bet is retreating to one of the pubs along the route (or at least nearby) – and grabbing a G&T.

Here are all the pubs either on the race course or fairly nearby. Obviously they’ll be busy, but worth trying to grab a drink while the runner dash past.

People are going crazy for the new Starbucks pink and blue Unicorn Frappuccino – and it’s not hard to see why, I mean, it’s not often you’re able to buy a coffee so Instagrammable.

We need to talk about sex guilt

Though it seems people are loving the drink for being more than just a beverage (and the source of a lot of sugar) – but for being total hair inspiration instead.

One hairdresser was left feeling so inspired by the fantasy-themed drink that she styled a client’s hair completely based on it.

Shot of an affectionate young couple kissing in bed

The weirdest thing about sex guilt is that it can come from nowhere.

I have a vivid memory of the first time it really smacked me around the head. I was 18, and lying face down on my boyfriend’s bed. Despite the fact that we’d just had quite nice sex, I couldn’t bring myself to look at him. I could only just stop myself from crying.

‘What’s wrong?’ He asked me.

‘Nothing’ I lied. I couldn’t find the words to tell him that despite really, really wanting sex, I was lying next to him feeling wracked with guilt.

This was a standard move of mine. I’d be incredibly up for it,… Read the full story

We need to talk about sex guilt

The easiest way to find someone like that is firstly by assessing who’s actually picked up a book since finishing school, and secondly by assessing their book choices.

eHarmony has found that guys who mention reading as one of their favourite activities receive up to 19% more messages on dating apps than those who don’t.

It’s no secret that the mainstream beauty industry has long overlooked women of colour.

While increasing numbers of black and Asian models are being included in beauty campaigns and magazine editorials, non-white beauty still plays second fiddle to the range of beige on offer at every cosmetics counter.

Posh bashing is a small price to pay for a flotilla of privileges

But a new skincare brand has just launched which promises to change all that.

EPARA, which means ‘to cocoon’ in the Nigerian dialect of Ebira, is the first luxury range aimed at women of colour (WOC).

Organisers of the London Marathon have told runners not to urinate on people’s front gardens during this year’s race.

In the race’s official instruction booklet, organisers tell competitors: ‘Please don’t urinate in people’s front gardens – use the toilets provided’ sparking concerns that race goers are going above and beyond to secure the best time.

The booklet also stipulates that runners ‘do not’ need to drink at every water or drinks station.

Either way if you’re struggling to get enough veggies into your diet, maybe cake is the solution for you.

No, seriously – vegetables actually work brilliantly in cake.

You’ve all heard of carrot cake but other veg, such as cauliflower, beetroot and even marrow all work well in baking and, while I can’t guarantee that they’re necessarily healthy, at least you’re getting a little bit of goodness while you indulge.

There’s stress, and then there’s STRESS.

Everyone will have experienced both kinds. The good kind is the sort of stress that makes you up your game and usually ends with a great sense of achievement.
