When you’re a vegetarian or vegan, going out for dinner can be a minefield.

Dorothy Perkins may want to reconsider their #LoveDP hashtag

Sometimes you’ll be lucky enough to stumble into a restaurant that actually offers multiple delicious things you can eat, but all too often there’s just one sad option – if that.

So naturally, you rejoice at the existence of all vegan and all vegetarian restaurants. Places where you don’t have to interrogate the waiters or aggressively inspect the menu.

For one meat-eater, though, all-vegan restaurants are the definition of evil.

Sportswear brands aren’t known for being particularly ethical.

But Adidas, at least, is paving the way for environmentally-friendly, high-performance products.

You can now buy jeans that look like they're covered in mud for the low, low price of £330

A while ago, they launched their UltraBoost range of trainers which are designed specifically for running.

And now they’ve announced that they’ve joined forces with environmentalists Parley for the Oceans to relaunch a new kind of UltraBOOST, UltraBOOST X and UltraBOOST Uncaged.

This time, they’re going to be entirely made using plastic debris found in the ocean.

Each pair will reuse around 11 plastic… Read the full story

If the photo we’re about to show you will teach you anything – it’s to never let your 3-year-old pack their own lunch.

Is it healthy to keep hold your ex's possessions once you've broken up?

But unfortunately, one dad learned that the hard way – and will likely need to invest in some stain remover for his sofa.

Though Reddit user andyrine would normally pack his son’s lunch box for their outings, he thought it might be fun for his son to do it himself this time – despite him being a toddler.

However, it seems andryine soon came to regret it… Read the full story

Oh, Dorothy Perkins. Not since your mistimed #FridayFeeling tweet have we seen such an enjoyable social media mishap.

Vegan restaurant brilliantly responds to a review complaining they don't serve meat

It has come (no pun intended) to our attention that Dorothy Perkins, maker of floral dresses and one of the most iconic Kardashian collaborations of all time, is currently getting bloggers and Dorothy Perkins fans to share posts with a hashtag.

That hashtag is #LoveDP.

We believe that in this instance, DP stands for Dorothy Perkins.

But usually, DP stands for double penetration. Meaning when two people insert their penises into two… Read the full story

It was in the second year of college that my dad became ill with depression.

As the youngest of three brothers, I had been living at home, with my middle brother at university, and my eldest brother living in London. It was so upsetting seeing Dad, who used to be full of energy, warmth and creativity, now spending his days lacking any motivation, depressed and in a very dark place.

Breaking down the stigma around mental health means f*** all if there's no funding

Friends and family knew my dad as someone who had a passion for renovating classic… Read the full story

I’ve experienced pretty much every variation on the working to stay-at-home mum spectrum and each comes with its pros and cons.

I’ve been a student mum, a stay-at-home mum, an employed mum (part-time, full-time and working several jobs at once), a work at home mum and a self-employed mum working from an office.

With my parents in Norfolk, just days before my mum died (Picture: Kate Peers)

I was 28 when my mum died.

The day had involved a picnic in Regent’s Park with friends, a few bottles of rose wine and lounging around on a blanket in the sunshine.

5 ways to help a friend through bereavement

While returning home to change for a night out, I received a phone call from my brother that would change my life forever.

Oh, hey, remember last week when Balenciaga made headlines (mostly revolving around ‘come on, Balenciaga, what are you doing?’) by unveiling a blue bag that looked eerily similar to Ikea’s classic carry bag?

Maybe I am a bridezilla, but you know what? I don't care

Balenciaga’s version is made of blue wrinkled leather and costs $2,145 (£1,672).

Ikea’s version is plastic and costs 40p.

But rather than raging at the idea that they may have missed out on thousands by marketing what is clearly a high fashion item as just a bag in which to carry home furnishings, Ikea took the… Read the full story

How to stick with veganism once your original motivation's gone

Enjoying everything in moderation is what makes life worth living, and we’re totally down with anything that ticks both our Hygge and healthspo boxes.

But we’re still more than a little unsure about the concept of ‘green juice’ gummy bears.

The bears are made from spinach, apple, lemon, ginger concentrate, spirulina and turmeric – yet they still manage to taste like sweets. It’s witchcraft, surely.

Babies cry when they want and there’s not much you can do about it apart from to wait it out – however tired you are.

How can fidget spinners and cubes actually help with anxiety and ADHD?

The pressure to be smooth, trimmed, or shaped starts early, when we hear our peers joking about getting lost in a 70s bush or read that men prefer a Brazilian.

It continues onwards as we start having sex, hitting the beach, and consuming more and more media that tells us we must be smooth, poreless, and hairless.

The thing with a bad date is it does make for a brilliant story.

You’ve made it to the bar. There’s a tingle of excitement and maybe, just maybe, this will be a good evening. Alas, as ever, their face didn’t match their profile and you’re stuck staring into your drink just to rid yourself of the guilt of walking out 10 minutes in.
