When Redditor Velaskin received a text from an unknown number asking him to buy some milk and lunch, he was pretty confused.

SponsoredWeekday dinners you can actually make in 30 minutes

I mean one, he already had his own milk and lunch – and two, he had no idea who was texting him.

And so obviously, he let the person behind the number know that they’d texted the wrong person – but they weren’t having any of it.

In fact, they were convinced Velaskin was actually their daughter playing a prank on them.

Of course, Velaskin saw this as the perfect opportunity to… Read the full story

Having small kids can be completely exhausting.

They always want to get up at the crack of dawn and once they’re up, they’re up – running rings around you and generally causing havoc.

Even fizzy water isn't good for you, so we might as well all be dead

Parents basically sign away their right to a lie in until their children reach high school.

Which is why one gym is offering knackered mums and dads the chance to sleep in a room with a load of other zombified parents for 45 minutes.

David Lloyd Clubs have just set up Napercise.

How many times, when you were a child, did you get given a ‘treat’ in exchange for something unpleasant?

National Stationery Week: Win free stationery from Flying Tiger

Every time I had to have my hair treated for nits (I was a very nitty child) it meant sitting in front of a Disney film with a bowl of Haribo to distract from the vile smelling, stinging stuff in my hair.

It must have seemed, to our parents, like an easy way to make something bad, feel better. Chocolate buttons made falling over less painful. A couple of Celebrations made you more likely to put up with… Read the full story

By which we mean: you’ll no longer be able to buy any Shu Uemura products in the UK – including their much-loved eyelash curler.

Oh, and it won’t just be their stores and lash bars.

We’re talking a full scale withdrawal, including their online sites.

It has been decreed this is a likely occurrence (Picture: Getty)

I’ve uttered the words bank holiday and barbecue in the same sentence, meaning that we are probably all doomed to a weekend of rain and DIY instead.

But, being British, we will persevere against the odds in our efforts to eat outside, be that through rain, snow or, in some cases, just dealing with being a vegan at a traditionally meat-heavy occasion.

While it may be Caturday, today we’re celebrating both a cat and his best friend – an adorable Shar Pei.

How to not be a dick when you're getting a blow job

Butler the cat met Paddington back in January 2014. Butler was adopted his owner Annie’s family very early – but missed his mum terribly.

However, he soon found comfort in Annie’s other fur baby, Paddington.

In an article on Bored Panda, Annie said that Butler and Paddington’s bond was ‘instant’.

She said: ‘I would find them sitting together looking at the window or cuddled up in bed even trying… Read the full story

I read once, that there are two types of email person.

There are people who have exactly zero unread emails lighting up their screen, and there are people who have 15,098 unread messages to deal with.

It’s true, those are definitely two types. Type-A, super organised people compared to the lax, fly by the seat of your pants type who can let that messy red icon live on their phone screen.

But, there’s also another type. Someone who would never let their unread messages spiral into the thousands,… Read the full story

That’s what it feels like we’re supposed to do after a breakup. But is wallowing in our post-love misery actually the best way to deal with a breakup?

Apparently not.

New research from the University of Colorado suggests that actually, telling everyone you’re totally, completely fine might be the best way to make yourself feel better.

Normally, I feel pretty sure in my weekend plans. Watching Gossip Girl wearing a sheet mask and drinking a lot of wine is my standard plan. And for a standard weekend, that’s fine.
