It’s an intelligent mask that measures sleep waves,… Read the full story
This parody of cheery body positivity videos is SPOT ON
Look, body positivity is a wonderful thing.
But when people get so caught up in the ‘big is beautiful’ stuff that they’re slamming every other body type, there’s a serious problem. Especially when you’re setting up a curvy girls vs. ‘skinny bitches’ battle.
Throwing in a catchy tune and some colourful backdrops (*cough* Meghan Trainor) doesn’t take away from the blatant body-shaming.
Which is why Pop Roulette have gone ahead and created a video parodying the shady side of the body positive movement, with superb lyrics like: ‘we’re here to tell you that ALL bodies are beautiful – unless you’re thin, then you are disgusting!’
It’s a… Read the full story

Being hungry affects women’s arousal, says a new study
Finally, an answer to the food vs sex debate.
A new study suggests that food can have a major impact on women’s arousal. And not just oysters.
Alice Ely, a researcher from the University of California, San Diego, suggests that hunger affects how women respond to romance and arousal, finding that when female participants were hungry, they weren’t as responsive to romantic stimuli.
So less ‘horngry’, more ‘hangry’.
Ely and her team of researchers gathered 20 women for the study, half of whom had previously tried to lose weight, and half who had never dieted.
The women fasted for eight hours and came into the lab feeling pretty hungry. They were then sent into an MRI scanner… Read the full story
Meet Flo: The new device that’s making periods easier for women living in poverty
For most of us, periods are just a minor annoyance, with the main bugbear being the handbag space that has to be dedicated to a pack of Tampax.
But in many parts of the world, limited access to sanitary products has a significant impact on the lives of young women, with girls missing school because they’re unable to get hold of clean pads and tampons.
As disposable pads are often too expensive, women end up re-using rags.
What makes things worse is that in many of these places, washing out the rags in public places is strictly prohibited, meaning the women have to hide their rags in unhygienic places… Read the full story

Artist creates incredibly detailed drawings on the inside of eggshells
Eggs-quisite.
Turkish artist Süreyya Noyan creates stunning versions of classic works of art, shrunk down to tiny proportions on the insides of eggshells.

Then, she snaps a quick photo for her Instagram, where she shares her creations with the hashtag #eggart.
