Ikea’s big blue bag has had a bit of a ~moment~ recently.

Hair care: is Olaplex really a miracle hair treatment?

It started with Balenciaga selling a £1,672 bag that looked pretty similar to Ikea’s iconic tote bag. Then Ikea responded. Then people started transforming Ikea Frakta bags into high-fashion accessories.

It’s natural, then, that Ikea has felt that now’s the time to let their Frakta bag reach its full, high fashion potential.

They’ve teamed up with Virgil Abloh, the founder and designer of Off-White, to revamp Ikea’s big blue bag entirely.

If you think you shouldn’t be lifting weights when you’re heavily pregnant, then you might want to start following Instagrammer Anna Strode.

She’s 37 weeks pregnant and still manages to work out for 20 minutes a day, four times a week.

So that’s already more than most of us.

And she recently proved just how tough exercising while pregnant can be by challenging her husband Rhett to a ‘pregnancy workout’.

Rhett strapped on a 6kg ball to his stomach before attempting a series of kettle ball squats with his wife.

He then tried to do some squat jumps before… Read the full story

The golden rule of stag parties is, quite properly, no ladies allowed; unless they’re being paid to take their bra off – that’s usually fine.

Countless questions have naturally accumulated because of women’s exclusion from this famously mucky rite of passage, and the fairer sex’s notoriously nosey nature.

metro illustrationsWhat really happens on a stag do? Five men share their most shocking stories

And they simply need answering.

So, like a proper grown up scientific journal, Metro.co.uk meticulously gathered the ladies’ most popular queries concerning stag dos, then put them to a rigorously vetted panel of blokes.

Who's on the panel?

There are eight types of nipples in the world and they're all glorious
(Picture: Liberty Antonia Sadler)

Nipples, if you haven’t heard, are quite the controversial body part… if they belong to a woman.

Instagram and Facebook don’t allow pictures of nipples on their platforms, unless they are male nipples, or nipples in the context of breastfeeding.

Net-a-Porter will no longer sell real fur

Which is a bit strange, really, considering that nipples are just a regular body part, and don’t change much between men and women.

Some people are fighting back against the nipple bans.

There’s genderless nipples, an Instagram account that shares genderless nipples to… Read the full story

As a fake blonde, I know more about hair damage than most people.

It’s my own fault. I periodically pay someone to put toxic chemicals on my hair until it’s stripped of any colour pigment in an attempt to make myself feel better about life.

Woman makes her own full-body mattress so she can nap any where, any time

But, such is the world, and I love being a blonde, so I continue to expose my hair to oodles of damage. But, as someone who’s position on cake involves both having and eating, I also want my hair to be… Read the full story

This is Grace.

She’s looking for a permanent home after eight months of neglect and traumatic injury.

Hair care: is Olaplex really a miracle hair treatment?

She and her siblings were born as strays and for the first few months of their lives, they had to live off scraps of food and bed down by nearby mountains.

That was until Grace was shot.

She was found in someone’s garden, unable to move. The woman who found her placed the tiny puppy in a container and began calling for help.

It’s tough when someone you love has to spend time far away.

You miss them dearly. It feels like they’ll never come home. Then they return and it’s bloody wonderful.

For dogs, this cycle is much harder.

Dogs don’t understand calendars or the passing of time. When their owner leaves the house, dogs are much more likely to believe it’s forever.

So it’s no wonder that when Millie’s owner had to go away from work, she felt a little down.

Ah, McDonald’s hacks. The perfect way to enjoy two treats in one.

This artist turns old scrap metal into amazingly delicate plants and trees

There are few other ways you can mix a chicken burger with a beef to create the ultimate sandwich for under a fiver – and that’s what we love about it.

But there’s one issue with a meal at McDonald’s (other than how dirty you feel afterwards). Their burgers and fries are very salty – so you always need a dessert afterwards to balance things out.

Usually we’d go for a McFlurry. But from now on, we might be… Read the full story

Dan Rawlings transforms abandoned materials into amazing sculptures.

‘I try to create images that remind people of the moments when everything seems possible and free; times when climbing a tree, or sitting admiring the way its branches twist and curl mean nothing, but means everything,’ he says.

He uses old tools and farm equipment  ‘to bring to mind a time when things were simpler, not easier, but the concerns of everyday people were fundamental and shared’,

90s kids were the luckiest when it came to toys.

They had a selection of the coolest gadgets that weren’t to do with tech or apps, but actual real-life fun.

15 ways 90s kids entertained themselves

There was no greater moment of joy like seeing your parents come home with an Argos carrier bag.

You dived straight in, bringing out item number 29 from page 539 that you had carefully circled.

Then you left the catalogue open on that page on the dining room table.

Quite obviously your parents took the hint and treated you to the latest toy of your dreams.

This came in two snazzy colours, metallic silver or metallic purple.

You wanted both of them.

Lots of us have tried something stupid in an attempt to lose weight.

Free the nipple with this boob-themed nail art

I’ve lived off Diet Coke and cigarettes. I’ve done vegetable only cleanses. In one very dark moment, I ate loo paper. But, I can at least say that I’ve never gone so far as to inject myself with a chemical in order to drop a few pounds.

Worryingly, some people are willing to go to that extreme. The chemical is called human chorionic gonadotropin. It’s a human pregnancy hormone, and it is supposed to promote staggering weight loss – up to 30 lb a month.

What’s more exciting than buying food over a counter?

Buying it from your car, obviously.

Until recently if you wanted to lay your hands on a the golden treasure that is a Steak Bake, you would have had to use your actual legs to do so. But no more, sweet angels, no more.

For the savoury-toothed weed lover, it’s been a pretty poor show.

Why you can’t stop calling your partner ridiculous pet names

0

In my normal life going to work, talking to colleagues, and interacting with friends and strangers, I come across as a normal, rational, fairly grownup human being.

When I’m in a relationship, however, I become a high-pitched child insistent on calling the person I’m dating all manner of ridiculous baby names.

My current partner is kitten. Kitty. Bunny. Even schnookums, which began as a joke, but that I now can’t stop saying.

Women are injecting themselves with pregnancy hormones to lose weight

I speak to them in a higher pitch and say nonsensical things about how adorable they are.

It is highly embarrassing, and I occasionally find myself hearing what I’m saying from outside my body, and hating myself with a red hot passion.

I am a mature, adult woman. So why do I turn into a babbling idiot when I’m hanging out with the person I’m dating?

Thankfully, I am not one sole freak yelling ‘kitten’… Read the full story
