Coconut oil is touted as some kind of liquid white gold.

It’s amazing for hair and skin. People use it for everything from removing makeup to whitening teeth.

This mum's response to her daughter calling her fat is something we all need to read

It’s amazing to cook with, to add to coffee, to fry with, to use in baking instead of butter or margarine.

Coconut oil can do wrong – despite the terrifying smoke that it emits after a second in a frying pan.

But it may well have had its time in the sun because scientists are suggesting that it’s no better than… Read the full story

Stoners tend to have a bad rep for laziness.

The majority of the time, they’re made out to spend their time lounging around all day, feeding their munchies with endless takeaway pizzas and laughing at ridiculous YouTube videos.

Being weighed is a pretty routine part of some medical appointments.

You can’t get a renewed prescription for contraception without one and when you visit a gynaecologist, they tend to take your weight as standard.

Surprise surprise, coconut oil isn't actually that good for you after all

The majority of the time you can look down at the scales or avert your eyes as you please.

There are some doctors, however, who insist on discussing their findings – and one body-positivity blogger is explaining just how dangerous it can be for doctors to tell people their weight, particularly if they’ve struggled with eating disorders.

And there’s nothing like a ridiculously over the top maternity shoot to really blow your competitors out of the water.

Just look at these pregnant mermaids who are taking over Instagram.

They’re just lolling around on beaches looking all magical and whimsical like carrying an 8lb creature in their wombs is nothing.

Ask a friend what they’re doing for their dad today and a good chunk of them will probably say ‘nothing’.

If you asked them the same question about their mum on March 26, however, you’d likely get a different response.

Today’s a day for celebrating our fantastic dads.

Their rubbish jokes. Their awful dancing. Their ridiculous dress senses.

We should all try going to our yoga classes topless like this woman

But while you’re raising a toast to your old man, spare a thought for the kids of absent dads.

Mums might have their own day of celebrations but single mums act as both mother and father – and their dual role often gets overlooked.

Which is why one genius has come up with a series of Father’s Day cards for single mums.

You’d think that any fear or confusion surrounding bra sizing would be left behind in our teen years.

Right by the Angel aisle of Marks and Spencers’ lingerie section.

But despite the fact that plenty of us are almost-kind-of certain that the 36FF or 32Bs that we have on are (possibly, maybe) accurate, lots of us don’t really know for sure.

And we most certainly don’t know how to measure our own bra size.

Never fear, breast-owners of the UK – using… Read the full story

Everyone at some point has watched Garfield, or read the comic strip and identified with him as their ultimate spirit animal.

Therapy is so much tougher than I imagined

Therapy isn’t how you picture it.

It’s not lounging on a couch, telling a patient man in glasses and a tweed jacket about your parents, and having them say ‘ah, yes. But how do you feel about that?’.

Millennial food fads might actually be making us thinner

It’s not just a nice chat with someone who’s paid to be interested in what you’re saying.

It’s definitely not just a place where you go to iron out your relationship issues or bitch about work with full freedom to be as self-involved or needy as you like.

Therapy is tough.

In my first session (done online in the hopes of a shorter waiting list, four months after my original chat with my GP), I had to talk about all the stuff I’ve spent years keeping locked up in a box in a secret, off-limits place in my head: the thoughts I’m ashamed of, the low… Read the full story
