Are you sick of unicorns?

Of course you are. We’re all bloody sick to death of unicorns with their glitter and rainbows and annoying horns.

People have started ageing wine at the bottom of the ocean

They’ve ruined toastfrappucinos, bongs and God knows what else.

But fortunately, that’s all about to change because a fluffier, cuter, more South American critter is taking over as the animal motif of the moment.

We’re now entering: The summer of llamas.

Trend forecasting agency WGSN has confirmed that 2017 is going to be the year that llamas finally get their time in… Read the full story

How refreshing do these look right about now? (Picture: Pops/Pimms)

It’s been a pretty weird start to summer for us Brits.

We're sure you weren't planning to, but please don't shove glitter capsules in your vagina

Why? Because we actually appear to be having a summer.

Quintessentially British things to do in the summer include getting horrifically sunburnt in the park whilst getting off our rockers on Pimm’s and smooshing strawberries into our gobs.

Lucky for us, there’s now a new way of consuming Pimm’s – frozen in the form of Pimm’s popsicles!

Hurray!

We hear a lot of stories about the joy of childbirth, about happy pregnancies, about new additions to the family.

It’s the stories that aren’t filled with happiness and bouncing babies that we hardly ever talk about.

infant loss photo seriesPhoto series explores the feelings around miscarriage we hardly ever talk about

Miscarriage and infant loss are still seen as taboo topics, not to be discussed for fear of making things awkward.

That’s an issue, as those going through it can feel silenced and alone, with no one they can turn to for support through an incredibly difficult time.

This is Logan.

He’s a three-year-old Saint Bernard who has had a phobia of water since he almost drowned as a puppy chasing another dog’s ball into a lake – not realising that he couldn’t swim.

Unicorns are finally dead - this summer is going to be all about llamas

The incident left him so traumatised that his owners haven’t even been able to give him a bath since.

But he’s now learning to swim and embrace water after his owner Miranda Enderson signed him up for canine classes.

Three lessons in, Miranda and her husband Gordon say that they’ve noticed a huge improvement, with… Read the full story

Many of us spend a lot of time making sure our CVs are perfect before sending them off. There’s so much competition these days for whatever career you’re dreaming of, so it’s always good to only send off something you’re 100% happy with.

However, when one guy decided it was time to update his CV, he decided to take a risk – by using Google autocomplete to fill out the entirety of his resume.

And it’s safe to say, it didn’t work out too well.

How often should you get your hair cut? (Picture: skynesher/Getty)

Every trip to the hair salon ends the same with the hairdresser asking if you would like to book your next appointment in six weeks’ time.

infant loss photo seriesPhoto series explores the feelings around miscarriage we hardly ever talk about

But do you find yourself questioning whether this is best for your hair or, if you’re a cynical monster like me, best for the salon?

Wonder no more as Metro.co.uk has posed the question to hairdresser Patrick Cameron, supporter of the London Hairdressing Apprenticeship Academy (LHAA) and maestro of long hair.

He said: ‘I am often asked this… Read the full story

Poor grammar is excruciatingly irritating.

Whether it’s people using ‘there’ instead of ‘their’ in Facebook posts or newsreaders saying ‘less’ rather than ‘fewer’, having to read and hear the English language so abused is awful.

But there are some brands who you’d think would be completely above such idiocy.

Some companies with such middle-class values that they’d know exactly how an apostrophy works, for example.

Alas, here’s proof that you can’t trust anyone.

Waitrose – that bastion of ‘essential’ houmous, vermicelli nests and cappuccino mousses – has let us all down.

You’ve either heard it once and henceforth obsessed about it forevermore, or you’ve never been told.

Yup, we’re talking about the rumour that eating grapefruits will massively f*** up your antidepressants – or your birth control, or any other fun medication you’re on.

For those who haven’t heard, there are a bunch of reports that suggest that eating grapefruit can cause serious side effects for people who are taking medication.

Rachel Wright, mum-of-three, blogger, and author of The Skies I’m Under, has penned an important post in which she explained why she refuses to let her 10-year-old son accept his 100% school attendance award.

Is it safe to eat grapefruit while you're on antidepressants?

Though her son, JJ, had been awarded an evening at a soft play centre because of his perfect attendance record, along with his friends, she will not be letting him collect the award.

Firstly, Rachel says that she loves it when the school rewards JJ – but she doesn’t agree with him being rewarded for his attendance, as… Read the full story

How long can you leave a dog at home alone for?

This dog clearly isn’t alone – he has his pal in the background (Picture: CorbisStock)

There’s a reason dogs are called ‘man’s best friend’ and cats aren’t.

Is it safe to eat grapefruit while you're on antidepressants?

It’s absolutely not recommended but you could probably leave a cat alone in your house for a year and come back to find it’s managed to change the locks, set up a regular food delivery service and redecorate the house in a more desirable fish theme.

A dog? Oh, man. God love ’em but a dog will sit on the floor, staring forlornly at the door until it keels over with… Read the full story

Me and the wife (Picture: Andy Hill)

Whenever I overhear people badmouthing the NHS I just want to scream in their stupid faces.

My wife is a junior doctor. She works ridonkulously long hours.

Jeremy Hunt has finally enacted a good policy on mental health in the NHS – where did that come from?

Including Christmas day last year. That was fun.

Her life is committed to making people feel better.

She also, get this, has to chip in substantial amounts of money for her own training and professional exams.

And alright, it’s a pretty well paid job – but by no means as well paid as… Read the full story

Moronic theory about women #102,997: women can’t handle casual sex.

Let’s assume this slur arose because it wasn’t acceptable for women to have casual sex for, let’s see… yep, pretty much forever.

Lesbians, threesomes and watersports – we ask men to explain their favourite sexual fantasies

Even now, women have to put up with ridiculous slights like ‘slut’ and ‘easy’ should they dare enjoy and – gasp – talk about non-committal sex.

We can see the sexy in everyday objects, find pleasure in things that might make others wince and enjoy putting things in places that they were never intended for.

A cafe in Doncaster is serving up a £1 fry up

You’re tired of fancy brunches and paying £7 for some posh toast in the morning. You’re ready for something cheaper, and that something cheaper – if you live in Doncaster, anyway – is a classic fry up.

The Number One Gardens Cafe, in Doncaster, is now serving up what the owners claim is the cheapest fry up in Britain.

It’s £1, which, comparatively speaking, is pretty damn cheap for a decent breakfast.

Get involved (Picture: Getty)

Owning a sex toy is like having a well stocked fridge, it is basically something that everyone should have.

When it comes to talking about sex, we do so openly with our friends. We talk about who we are doing it with, how we are doing it, and how often we are doing it.

13 embarrassing sex moments we have all experienced

But there is a key aspect of our sex lives that we don’t always pay enough attention to, and I’m not just talking about casually skipping that sexual health check up – I am talking about sex toys.

Finally, you can get black pantyliners to match your underwear

For years, we have struggled.

Finally, you can get black pantyliners to match your underwear

We have put placed glaring white pantyliners in our definitely not white underwear, their comforting presence beaming outwards whenever we pull down our knickers.

We will have sex on the days when we are wearing a white pantyliner with colourful underwear. We will try to casually slink out of said underwear without having to announce the amount of discharge we are producing, but, sadly, the contrasting colours are just too attention-grabbing.

It’s not that we’re ashamed of wearing pantyliners. There’s nothing wrong with discharge.

Brides-to-be tend to fall into one of two categories: there are the brides who prefer their hen do low-key, filled with close friends and finger sandwiches – maybe a penis straw thrown in for laughs.

5 women share their most debauched hen do stories

Then there is the other type of bride, the one for whom a hen do isn’t complete unless there is a stripper, and someone sleeps with him, and everyone vomits, and no one remembers anything.

Historical Sex: The Roaring Twenties – flappers, sex manuals and gay liberation

It was quite a change of pace (Picture: Ella Byworth for Metro.co.uk)

The ‘Roaring Twenties’ were a time of huge upheaval in the world and along with that came social change.

World War I changed the social landscape; the vast number of death in the battlefields left many families bereaved and gave women in particular, by necessity, more social power than they’d had previously.

We often hear talk of the sexual revolution that took place in the 1960s, but few are aware of the massive changes around sex and sexuality that occurred earlier in the century.
