Cease your sundress-wearing and halt posing for your next great instagram shot in a big floppy hat.

You are doing summer fashion all wrong – unless you’re wearing a watermelon dress.

You can now buy a £13,000 gold-coated fidget spinner, if you fancy

The next big trend for the summer is the watermelon dress.

No, this is not a dress with a watermelon print, in the vein of the pineapple shoe trend.

This is a dress made of watermelon. A single slice of watermelon, to be exact.

But do not fear a stick back and pip-covered nips. You don’t actually wear that slice of watermelon… Read the full story

There have been many photo crazes that have taken the internet by storm over the years.

Photos show how much of our faces we're missing when we apply sun cream

We’ve had planking, breading and…horsemaning.

In more recent years, there was nutscaping, the mannequin challenge and people putting their faces in toilet roll tubes and pretending to be the moon.

Just like some sort of sexy horror movie, there’s a monster strain of gonorrhoea on the loose.

Here’s what to do if the condom breaks while you’re having sex

And the reason gonorrhoea has been able to go on a rampage? People are having unprotected oral sex.

EVERYONE knows the importance of using contraception during sex. And yet, when pregnancy isn’t a risk, use… Read the full story

Do you know what your child is up to on their smartphone? (Picture credit: Snapchat, Getty)

When I opened up my Snapchat app recently I was amazed by the new map feature.

Snap Map allows your friends to see exactly where you are with Snapchat saying it is helpful for finding people when meeting up.

‘Wow, look how much garden space the house at the back of ours has,’ I said pushing my phone under my husband’s nose.

The map was pretty detailed, there was a little figure of me clearly stood in the exact spot our house was situated on the map.

In today’s adventures on Etsy (a weekly activity in which I browse through Etsy searching for new vagina-themed items to match my purse and keyring), I stumbled across something that prompted many questions.

Questions such as:

But, why?

You're failing at summer if you're not wearing a watermelon dress

Why a penis?

Why for cats?

Why, why, why?

I do not know the answers to these questions.

All I know is that someone on Etsy, who goes by the name meowadays, is selling little crocheted penises filled with catnip, to serve as cat toys for, well, cats. Penis-hungry cats.

Like, well, pretty much every woman who pushes a baby out of her body, blogger and mum-of-four Janene Crossley’s body has changed a bit since having children.

It’s taken her a while to come to terms with that – to accept and love her body with all its changes, instead of liking some bits and hating others.

One bit she’s learned to love? Her stomach.

Don’t blow dry your vagina after sex

The other day, I was reading through an article, sent to me by the person I’m dating*, all about ‘things every woman should do after intercourse’.

*This wasn’t a hint, to be clear. They just know I enjoy reading vagina-related content.

I read through the standard bits – drinking water, peeing, having a long bath (not actually a wise idea, but not the worst suggestion on the list) – then, right at the end, stumbled upon something strange.

You're failing at summer if you're not wearing a watermelon dress

‘Many women are blow drying their vaginas after sex,’ it read.

Wait, what? Are they?

We’ve all been there – you have a sh*tty time at a restaurant with food you could have made better (and cheaper) at home, and you decide to voice your concerns in a review.

Apparently loads of women are blowdrying their vaginas after sex

But when a woman left a not exactly glowing Yelp review for Imagine vegan café in Memphis, Tennesee, we don’t think she knew the drama it was about to cause.

Is it OK for straight people to take part in Pride, or is it cultural appropriation?

Should Pride by purely an LGBTQ+ space? (Picture: Gail Orenstein/NurPhoto/Getty)

I’ve always been heavily involved in gay culture.

I’ve had a dance-off in a gay bar. I’ve been cheekily flashed by a drag queen. I blubbed my way through a gay wedding. I stood in silent vigil for the Pulse victims in Old Compton Street.

Why we still need Pride in 2017

But I worry, sometimes, that I’m part of a wider problem – straight people encroaching on LGBTQ+ spaces.

I have always felt totally welcomed within the gay community, which is incredible when you consider that for centuries straight people shunned, imprisoned, humiliated and abused LGBTQ+ people. In… Read the full story

Recently emerged stories of broken vaginas and breastfeeding struggles will come as no surprise to most parents – because behind the blissful image of birth and motherhood usually lies a blood-spattered, painful and shocking tale.

Rarely will a woman experience labour without suffering an injury, intervention, long-term effects or hideous memory – even if you feel relatively unscathed afterwards.

Getting tested is easy (Picture: Ella Byworth for Metro.co.uk)

Let’s get one thing clear: STI checks are nothing to be coy about.

We all have sex. Well, a majority of us do, and yes, sometimes people contract STIs or STDs.

Here’s what to do if the condom breaks while you’re having sex

And sure, the pendants among us will note that STIs and STDs are technically different, in the sense that the former constitutes as an infection that’s not yet developed into a disease. But for the purposes of this article, the abbreviations are interchangeable.
